Abstract

Abstract

Kata Kunci:  panas bumi, potensi, analytical hierarchy process (AHP), analisis spasial Abstract- Geothermal heat is one of the forms of renewable energy with a substantial potential of 28.5 GW in Indonesia. Suoh is suspected to be one of the areas with geothermal potential in Indonesia, characterized by the occurrence of geothermal manifestations in the form of fumaroles and hot springs. This study aims to classify the research input parameters and analyze areas with high geothermal potential. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is one of the techniques previously used in analyzing the geothermal potential of an area. In this study, geological parameters such as geology, manifestations, hydrothermal alteration, surface temperature, lineament density, and gravity anomalies were used. The weight of each parameter was determined using the AHP method, and the results were subjected to overlay weighting. The geothermal potential map of the Suoh area was classified into 4 classes: low, moderate, high, and very high geothermal potential. Regions with high geothermal potential are located near manifestations, characterized by volcanic rock types, a tendency for high lineament density, areas with alteration, high surface temperatures, and moderate to very high residual anomalies. High geothermal potential areas correlate with 8 geothermal manifestation points in the research area. Keywords: geothermal, potential, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), spatial analysis

Abstract

Currently, the city of Bandar Lampung is facing a quite serious problem, namely the Flood Disaster which hit on February 24, 2024. Bandar Lampung has a diverse topography, ranging from lowlands, and beaches, to hilly areas with a height of 0-500 meters above sea level. Almost every year Bandar Lampung experiences the same problem, namely flooding in various sub-districts, one of which is the Way Halim sub-district. Floods are water that overflows and cannot be accommodated by rivers or absorbed by water catchment areas. Floods are also a disaster that can disrupt community activities. Bandar Lampung has a relatively high risk of flood disasters. Therefore, efforts need to be made to overcome the flood disaster. This research aims to analyze the preparedness of the community in the Way Halim subdistrict, Bandar Lampung after the flood disaster. This research uses an approach to community perceptions regarding preparedness in implementing disaster mitigation management. Preparedness in facing flood disasters can help communities plan actions that can be taken when floods strike. Community in Way Halim sub-district is moderately prepared for disasters. Lack of training andoutreach, results in a lack of focus during disasters. Proactive steps such as early warning systems, community education, and infrastructure development are crucial for enhancing preparedness in facing flood disasters.

Abstract

Flood disasters frequently occur in Rajabasa Village, Bandar Lampung, particularly during periods of intense rainfall. This study seeks to examine the primary causes of flooding and assess mitigation strategies that can be implemented using spatial planning and community engagement approaches. The research methods include spatial analysis, interviews with local residents, and hydrological modeling through HEC-RAS software. Findings reveal that the main causes of flooding are inadequate drainage infrastructure, land use change, and waste-induced waterway blockages. Therefore, enhancing drainage capacity, promoting riverbank vegetation, and fostering public awareness on environmental cleanliness are essential mitigation efforts.

Abstract

Suoh is a pull-apart basin located along the Semangko segment of the Sumatra Fault Zone and filled by thick fluvio-volcanic and alluvial deposits that strongly amplify seismic waves and increase surface damage during earthquakes. This study aims to perform seismic micro-zonation of Suoh using the horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) method combined with shallow shear-wave velocity (Vs) inversion to support hazard assessment and land-use planning in the Suoh aspiring geopark. Single station microtremor measurements were acquired at 30 sites and processed with Geopsy to obtain dominant frequency (f0), amplification factor (A0), and seismic vulnerability index (Kg). The HVSR curves were further inverted using the Dinver module to retrieve 1D Vs profiles, with initial models constrained by the global CRUST1.0 model and local geology. The results indicate strong lateral variability in site conditions, with low f0 and high A0 values concentrated in the central–western basin, producing high Kg and reflecting thick-soft sediments overlying deep engineering bedrock (Vs ≥ 800 m/s) at depths exceeding 80–100 m. These high-vulnerability zones spatially coincide with shallow seismicity associated with the Semangko Fault. Based on Kg, the study delineates low, moderate, and high seismic vulnerability zones, highlighting areas where seismic amplification and resonance effects are most pronounced. The combination of HVSR parameters with 2D Vs imaging provides a practical framework for identifying high-risk zones and guiding risk-informed land-use planning in tectono-volcanic basins such as Suoh.

Abstract

South Lampung, Indonesia, lies within the tectonically active Indo-Australian–Eurasian subduction zone, influenced by the Lampung-Panjang and Menanga Faults. Volcanic and volcaniclastic lithologies overlying thick alluvial sediments increase seismic amplification potential. This region hosts critical infrastructure including airports and markets, but seismic hazard at these sites has not been comprehensively evaluated. Therefore, this study aims to assess seismic hazard at three critical infrastructure sites: Radin Inten II Airport, Natar Market, and Branti Market. The earthquake hazard zones were analyzed using the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method, which effectively estimates site resonance frequency ( ), amplification ( ), and shear-wave velocity ( ) without requiring active seismic sources or boreholes, making it ideal for rapid microzonation in urban-vital areas. Unlike previous HVSR studies in Lampung that focused on single-parameter ( ) mapping, this study integrates five parameters ( ,  ,  ,  , and  ) to produce a multi-criteria hazard classification. Microtremor data were collected from 25 measurement sites using the Seismometer Rakyat Indonesia (SRI) and processed using Geopsy, Excel, and MATLAB. These analyses yielded dominant frequency ( ) ranging from 0.6-14 Hz, amplification factor ( ) from 0.8-5.2, dominant period ( ) from 0.07-1.6 s, seismic vulnerability index ( ) from 0.06-3.9 cm/s², and shear-wave velocity up to a depth of 30 meters ( ) from 254-1433 m/s. These parameters were then spatially integrated to assess the seismic hazard level at each study site, with   and   as primary classifiers and  ,  ,   as corroborating indicators. The results showed that Radin Inten II Airport and Branti Market exhibit stable seismic characteristics with high dominant frequencies (>6 Hz), low amplification (<3), short dominant periods (<0.25 s), low  (<1 cm/s²), and high  values (>350 m/s), thus categorizing them as low-risk zones. Meanwhile, Natar Market is located within an area showing moderate dominant frequency (4-6.67 Hz) and amplification (3-6), along with a longer dominant period (0.25-0.4 s) and high  values (>350 m/s), placing it in a medium-risk zone. These findings provide a scientific basis for site-specific seismic risk mitigation at critical infrastructure in South Lampung.
