Abstract

As a company engaged in the industrial sector by producing certain components and localized in an industrial area, there will be an impact on the environment. These impacts can be positive in the form of employment, reducing dependence on imported heavy equipment, increase in foreign exchange due to reduced imports and increased exports, increased government revenue from taxes, public facilities improvement and supporting infrastructure, and opening up opportunities for other related industries. These impacts can also be negative in the form of environmental degradation such as noise disturbance, dust, and micro climate change, and changes in social and cultural conditions surrounding the industry. This research was conducted to support increasing effectiveness and efficiency of corporate management, by determining alternative forms of managing the heavy industrial equipment components environment (PLIKAB)-based on participation and society partnerships. The determination of alternative uses analytical hierarchy process (AHP) with the help of the Criterium Decision Plus v3.04 software. These results indicate that according of experts, the environmental management of industrial waste heavy equipment components must consider the technological aspects of its management. This can be seen from the weighting of each element that indicates the technology element has the greatest weight, which is 0.456. Besides that, elements of human resources is also quite important (weight 0.289) as the manager and the supporting policies (0.140) as a boost to management regulations. Aspect Capital (0.075) and marketing (0.042) is currently not perceived as barriers. While the most influential actor in the management is the company (0.451), other stakeholders have enough role is the community (0.234). Jababeka (0.211) and cooperative business (0.104) has a smaller role in the management. The purpose element in relative management has a weight that is relatively balanced with elements of revenue (0.336) is the primary consideration in determining management strategies, although it should not ignore the aim of maintaining environmental quality (0.299), the purpose of minimizing conflict (0.194), and the purpose of increasing competitiveness (0.170). The best alternative for the management of industrial waste components of the heavy equipment is to form managers based on partnerships by different stock ownership (0.791). It is considered much better than by forming managers based on partnerships by the same stock (0.209). Key words : heavy equipment industry, management, environment, analitycal hierarchy process (AHP)

Abstract

The need for domestic wheat grains tends to increase, and one of the efforts to face this situation is the assembly of tropical wheat varieties. The approach taken through this research is hybridization followed by several generations of selection. This study aimed to predict heterosis and the crossed combinations that possibly produced transgressive segregants. The experiment was conducted from August 2016 to May 2017 at the experimental station of the Indonesian Ornamental Plants Research Center, Cipanas (1100 m asl), Cianjur Regency, West Java Province. The genetic materials were seven genotypes, namely Guri1, Guri2, Guri3, Guri6, HP1744, IS-Jarissa, and Vee, crossed with the Selayar variety. This experiment used a randomized complete block design with three replications. The treatment was 15 wheat genotypes (seven F1 genotypes and eight parent genotypes), so there were 45 experimental units. There were yield and yield component observations. The results showed that several characters in each F1 combination of crosses had a higher or lower mean value than their parents. There is a combination of crosses that have a high heterosis value. The action of genes that control yield and yield components of wheat are overdominant, partially dominant, and partially recessive gene actions. The cross combinations of Guri3/Selayar, Guri6/Selayar, Jarissa/Selayar, HP1744/Selayar, and Vee/Selayar have a greater chance to produce transgressive segregants than the others.

Abstract

As a suburban area, Bogor Regency faces complex problems in the development of the aloe vera agribusiness. Land use conflicts, unemployment problems due to the Covid-19 pandemic, financial support and market access, post-harvest handling, and institutional support put the sustainability status of this commodity agribusiness into question. This research was conducted to assess the sustainability of aloe vera agribusiness development in Bogor Regency. Analysis of the sustainability status uses the MDS (multidimensional scaling) method, using four dimensions, namely: social, economic, institutional, and environmental. MDS analysis utilizes the Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries (RAPFISH) software. The research was conducted in five sub-districts in Bogor Regency, namely Kemang, Tajur Halang, Rancabungur, Ciampea, and Mount Sindur Districts. The results showed that, in general, aloe vera agribusiness in Bogor Regency has a sustainable status of: "moderately sustainable" (Mount Sindur and Kecamatan Kemang), “close to moderately sustainable" (Rancabungur and Ciampea), and "less sustainable" (Tajur Halang). To support the sustainability status of the aloe vera agribusiness in Bogor Regency,  group land management should be undertaken, assisted by counseling from government institutions, availability of agro-industrial processing, and clarification of land status.

Abstract

The shifting of tomatoes cultivation from upland to lowland led to a significant decrease of tomatoes production, particularly on tomatoes varieties which are not able to adapt to lowland. Genotypes selection based on appropriate selection criteria is the most effective method to obtain tomatoes genotypes with high production in the lowland. The aim of this study was to determine appropriate selection criteria in the lowland based on high heritability value, high phenotype and genotype  correlation to production component, and character relationship closeness with production component through path analysis. This study used a randomized block design with three replications. Selection criteria was chosen based on high heritability value, significant correlations in phenotype and genotype and its high direct impact on fruit weight per plant which were the number of fruits per plant and weight per fruit characters

Abstract

The cultivation of tomato in lowland experience many obstacles, such as low produvtivity. One effort to increase tomato productivity  in lowland is through selection of tomato genotype for high yield and yield component  in lowland. This study aims to determine the variability based on genetic information, heritability and correlation of characters as well as the yield components of tomato genotypes relationship patterns in the lowlands. A Randomized Complete Block Design was used to characterization base on best genotype of yield component character, genetic variability, broad sense heribility and correlation to yield. Genotype of tomato tested had diverse characteristics. Best genotypes based on the yield character is IPB T1, based on the number of fruit per plant is IPBT30, based on the fruit length and day to flowering is IPB T74, based on the fruit diameter is IPB T73 and fruit thickness is IPBT60. Wide genetic diversity has a high heritability. Number of fruit per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit thickness has a wide genetic diversity and high heritability. Yield characters has a narrow genetic diversity and heritability is low. Characters that have a direct impact on the yield are the fruit diameter. Based on the cluster analysis, tomato genotypes are grouped into five groups. Group I consists of seven genotypes (IPBT1, IPBT58, IPBT60, IPBT64, IPBT78, IPBT80 and IPBT82), group II consists of one genotype (IPBT74), group III consists of three genotypes (IPB T13, IPB T73 and IPB T86), group IV consists of five genotypes (IPBT3, IPBT33, IPBT43, IPBT53, and IPBT3) which is characterized by fruit thickness, fruit length and days to flowering, and group V consists of one genotype (IPBT30).
