Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of project-based chemistry learning models on cearning completeness and student creativity through the Chemsong video making project. The research method uses the pretest-posttest control group design while the data analysis uses the parametric statistical test that is N-gain, the independent sample t test and the sample t-test paired test. The sample in this study was obtained by cluster random sampling technique from the population of all students of SMK N 8. The gain normality test showed that the average results of the pretest-posttest clasical learning completeness increased by 0.53 with the criteria being in the experimental class and the control class at 0,31 with moderate criteria. The results of the independent sample t-test showed that there was a significant difference in the classical learning completeness of the experimental and control group students, which was 4.56 greater than t critic 1.98 with a significance level of 5%. In the paired sample t test, the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 <0.05. Whereas the results of student creativity t-test obtained sig values. (2-tailed) of 0,000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that the application of the chemistry learning model based on the Chemsong video project has an effect on improving student mastery learning and creativity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dengan pendekatan kontekstual menggunakan bahan ajar bermuatan karakter terhadap hasil belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, yang dimulai dari observasi ke sekolah, uji normalitas dan homogenitas data awal, menentukan sampel penelitian, uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen, serta memberikan perlakuan yang berbeda kepada kedua sampel. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest and posttest group design. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 80,67, dan kelas kontrol 70,88. Hasil uji t nilai posttest diperoleh harga thitung (2,73) lebih besar dari ttabel (1,67). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan ada perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen adalah 0,712 dan kelas kontrol 0,573. Ketuntasan belajar kelas eksperimen memenuhi proporsi ketuntasan klasikal. Pencapaian per indikator semua aspek psikomotorik dan afektif kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dilakukan efektif terhadap hasil belajar.&nbsp;

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profil pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan abad 21 berupa keterampilan komunikasi dan keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik&nbsp; pada materi hidrolisis garam dengan model flipped classroom learning berbantuan google classroom. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 di SMA Negeri 01 Boja. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi untuk memperoleh profil keterampilan peserta didik dan tes evaluasi three tier multiple choice untuk memperoleh profil pemahaman konsep dan angket tanggapan mengenai model Flipped classroom learning. Flipped classroom learning adalah model instruksional dimana siswa mempelajari materi pelajaran di luar kelas melalui video pembelajaran, kegiatan belajar di dalam kelas dilakukan pembelajaran kolaboratif yang menekankan pada aktivitas siswa dalam kelompok.Hasil penelitian diperoleh profil pemahaman konsep peserta didik dengan kategori paham konsep sebesar 55,46%. Profil keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi secara berturut-turut diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 3,46 dengan kriteria sangat baik dan 3,46 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini memberikan kemudahan bagi peserta didik untuk memahami materi pelajaran di dalam maupun di luar kelas, mereview materi pelajaran, dan membantu peserta didik yang pasif.

Abstract

Minyak atsiri merupakan material yang mudah mengalami degradasi akibat adanya oksigen, cahaya, dan temperatur tinggi. Untuk mengatasi hal tesebut perlu dilakukan enkapsulasi. Maltodekstrin dan ?-siklodekstrin merupakan jenis penyalut yang baik dalam enkapsulasi minyak atsiri. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan enkapsulasi minyak kemangi menggunakan maltodekstrin dan ?-siklodekstrin sebagai penyalut, dengan perbandingan 1:1, 2:1 dan 1:2 yang dilarutkan dengan etanol 70%. Minyak kemangi yang digunakan diperoleh dari destilasi uap air daun kemangi, kemudian dianalisis dengan GC-MS. Proses enkapsulasi menggunakan metode pengeringan beku. Produk mikrokapsul dikarakterisasi menggunakan SEM. Analisis GC-MS menunjukkan bahwa minyak kemangi mengandung senyawa E-sitral (32,93%), Z-sitral (23,96%), linalool, isokariofillen, ?-humulen, dan kariofilen oksida. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mikrokapsul yang memiliki controlled release paling baik adalah sampel C (Maltodekstrin:?-siklodekstrin = 1:2). Mikrokapsul minyak kemangi berupa serbuk putih kekuningan, tidak menggumpal, dan memiliki bau khas kemangi. Hasil SEM menunjukkan ukuran rata-rata mikrokapsul yang dihasilkan sebesar &lt; 2?m.

Abstract

Students must have critical thinking ability and utilize ICT in the learning process to face the challenges of 21st century learning. Likewise, in biology learning accompanied by contextual learning related to everyday life such as the concept of environmental change. Technological developments also need to be maximally utilized in the learning process by flipped classroom learning. This study aims to know the increase in students' critical thinking ability towards flipped classroom learning model. This research method used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The subjects of this study included students of class XMIPA 1 and XMIPA 2 at SMAN 1 Palimanan. The results showed that there is a difference in the increase in critical thinking ability between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class has a higher N-gain than the control class. The independent sample T test hypothesis test shows that the N-Gain significance value is less than the alpha value, which means that there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that flipped classroom learning can increase students' critical thinking ability in environmental change material.

Abstract

The learning model is fundamental to increase the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Learning models that make students more active in the chemistry teaching and learning process in class XI SMA N 1 Comal are rarely used. As a result, students become passive and scientific attitudes and student creativity have not developed. This study aims to determine : the process of implementing problem-based learning (PBL), the effectiveness of PBL on acid-base material in high school, increasing the scientific attitude and creativity of class XI SMA students. The research design used was a pretest-postest control group with a quasi experimental design. This study’s population was all students of class XI SMA N 1 Comal in the academic year 2020/2021. The sample was taken using simple random sampling technique and selected class XI MIPA 5 as the control class and XI MIPA 6 as the experimental class. Data collection techniques used documentation in the form of pretest and postest scores, scientific attitude observation sheets and questionnaires to measure student creativity. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. The results showed that the average posttest score of students in the experimental class were higher than the average posttest score of students in the control class. The percentage of students with a high scientific attitude in the experimental class is also more remarkable than the control class. The creativity category with a very creative category in the experimental class shows a more significant percentage than the control class. From the analysis results, it can be concluded that first, the application of PBL starts from problem orientation, group organizing, conducting experiments, presenting work results, and evaluating. The second is the problem based learning model provides excellent results and is quite effective compared to conventional methods. Third, PBL models can improve student’s scientific attitudes and creativity compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' problem-solving abilities by considering their curiosities. The subjects in this study are determined based on the analysis of the results of the Curiosity Inventory in class VIIIA students of SMP N 1 Bandungan, Semarang Regency. Students are grouped into two types, namely the type of Epistemic Curiosity (EC) and the type of Perceptual Curiosity (PC). The EC group are taken by two students, namely a weak (Lemah) EC (ECL) and a strong (Kuat) EC (ECK), as well as the PC group taken by two students, namely a weak PC (PCL) and a strong PC (PCK). This research is a mixed method research with a sequential explanatory design. The data collection techniques use questionnaires, tests and interviews. The effectiveness is analyzed based on (1) the average similarity test; (2) completeness test and average difference test. Based on data analysis, the results of tests and interviews show that the ECL type students are able to understand problems, plan solutions and carry out the completion plans, but are unable to check again. ECK type students are able to understand the problem until it checks again properly. The PCL type students are able to understand the problem but are less able to plan solutions and carry out the completion plan and are unable to check again. The PCK type students are able to understand problems, plan completion plans and carry out completion plans but are less able to check again.

Abstract

Research is based on the mastery of problem solving abilities is still low and the teaching materials used in learning lack training and develop students' problem-solving abilities. This study aims to develop a module based on problem-based learning and contains multiple levels of representation in the solubility material and its solubility product which is feasible and to determine the improvement of students' good problem solving abilities. The research method used is research and development (Research and Development) and the learning modules are arranged according to PBL. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, tests and questionnaires. The results of the validation of the material experts, linguists and media experts respectively showed very good results with an assessment percentage of 93.98%, 86.03% and 88.39%. The results of module trials by students through questionnaires received very good feasibility assessments with a percentage of 78.89% and the results of module trials by teachers got very good assessments with a percentage of 96.83%. The results of the application of problem-based learning modules obtained data in the form of pretest-posttest values which were tested using the n-gain test. The n-gain test results obtained a value of 0.56 in the medium category. The results of this test indicate that there has been an increase in the problem-solving abilities of students after using the module. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the PBL-based chemistry learning module on the solubility material and the solubility product developed is very effective and suitable for use in chemistry learning processes in schools.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara beberapa guru kimia di Semarang, keterampilan proses sains peserta didik masih rendah. Guru hendaknya menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang bisa meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah Design Based Learning (DBL) Chandrasekaran dkk. (2013). Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan suatu penelitian implementasi model Design Based Learning dengan melihat keefektivannya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, dengan menggunakan pretest-posttest control grup design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK N Jawa Tengah di Semarang dengan kelas X TITL sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X BKP sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal pretest dan posttest keterampilan proses sains, lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains, serta angket respon peserta didik dan guru. Implementasi model Design Based Learning pada materi elektrokimia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil uji t dilakukan yaitu diperoleh t hitung sebesar 14,07 dan t tabel sebesar 2,07. Nilai t hitung > t tabel maka Ha diterima. Serta hasil ui N- Gain sebesar 0,75 yang menunjukan peningkatan KPS dalam kategoori tinggi. Selain itu, model Design Based Learning layak untuk diterapkan berdasarkan respon dari peserta didik dan guru.
