Abstract

This service was carried out as a form of concern for the Department of Arabic Literature, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang (JSA FS UM) towards graduates. In this training, the gate will be equipped with knowledge and application of several innovative learning models in Arabic language learning. The learning models in question are Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), and Discovery Learning (DL) models. These learning models will be applied in Arabic language learning. The details of the application of the three models are contained in 7 materials presented by the speakers. After delivering the material, the activity organizers assisted the participants in practicing. This assistance is carried out online and offline. Service is provided in learning for five weeks. Every week, participants are given a tutorial on designing the application of Arabic language learning models, and participants create articles related to the application of innovative learning models in Arabic. Fifty participants attended this activity. As evaluation material, the activity implementer distributed a questionnaire via Google Forms after the action was carried out. The results of the questionnaire are as follows: The facilities provided by the facilitator. 90.9% of participants said it was perfect, and 9.1% said it was good. The questionnaire results are related to the resource person's mastery of the material. 75% of participants stated that the resource person mastered the material, and 22.7% noted that the resource person got the material. The questionnaire results related to the resource person's clarity in delivering the material. 72.7% of participants stated that the resource person clearly explained the material, and 25% said the speaker's explanation was clear. The questionnaire results are related to the usefulness of the material in learning innovation. 86.4% of participants stated that the activity resource was very useful in learning innovation, and 13.6% noted that the activity helped them learn creation.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to enhance the understanding and knowledge of madrasah teachers regarding the importance of instructional media in the teaching process at the Madrasah. Additionally, the program trains teachers from Madrasah Aliyah in Kabupaten Tulung Agung to design and create interactive learning videos using the Camtasia Studio application. The specific objective of this training is to boost the creativity of teachers in designing and utilizing video-based learning media to make Arabic language teaching in the Madrasah more contextual. The methods employed in implementing this Community Service consist of lectures, training sessions, and Q&A sessions. The target audience for this activity includes teachers from Madrasah Tsanawaiyah and Madrasah Aliyah in Kabupaten Tulung Agung. This initiative effectively enhances teachers' knowledge regarding the urgency of instructional media and the development of various forms of instructional media, particularly related to technological advancements. Moreover, it improves teachers' skills in operating computers or laptops, particularly in integrating interactive media using Camtasia Studio. Following the training, there will be a two-month mentoring process and evaluation. The expected outcomes of this activity are (1) Proceedings of a National Seminar, (2) a community service journal article, and (3) an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for a Video Tutorial on Using Camtasia. Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan telah membuka peluang besar untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran, terutama dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa. Artikel ini membahas pengembangan Learning Management System (LMS) yang berfokus pada konsep Self-Directed Learning (SDL) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip SDL ke dalam platform LMS dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mempelajari Bahasa Arab secara mandiri.

Abstract

Proficiency in Arabic calligraphy was once confined to a select few blessed with innate talent or those who underwent formal or informal education. Mastery of this art was achieved through either inherent abilities and rigorous training or persistent self-learning and dedication. However, in today's technological landscape, the challenges associated with learning calligraphy can be surmounted through the aid of software applications that streamline and enhance the learning process. One such solution is the utilization of the "Kelk" application, facilitating the creation of Arabic calligraphy in strict adherence to the principles of khat writing. This software offers users the convenience of typing Arabic text and subsequently engaging in a creative editing process utilizing its available features.

Abstract

Pengajaran Bahasa Arab di Indonesia memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pemahaman ajaran Islam. Namun, banyak guru di daerah seperti Kabupaten Tulungagung masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang kurang efektif. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran Bahasa Arab, dikembangkan pelatihan microlearning yang mengedepankan materi berbasis teknologi, yang dirancang dalam unit kecil dan ringkas. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membekali guru dalam pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis video singkat dan interaktif. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kompetensi teknologi guru, yang berimplikasi pada motivasi belajar dan pemahaman siswa. Pendekatan ini menjadi solusi efektif untuk mengatasi keterbatasan waktu belajar siswa dan keterbatasan teknologi di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, implementasi microlearning dapat menjadi strategi yang relevan dan inovatif dalam pengajaran Bahasa Arab, terutama di era digital ini.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah pembelajaran gramatika bahasa Arab di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) adalah kurangnya kemampuan dalam membuat variasi pengajaran, utamanya dalam memanfaatkan media digital. Berdasarkan pertimbangan tersebut tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan pembelajaran gramatika bahasa Arab berbasis media interaktif untuk guru bahasa Arab MA se Kabupaten Malang.  Metode yang digunakan adalah metode langsung, praktik individual dan pendampingan. Ada empat materi yang disampaikan dalam pelatihan, yaitu (1) pembelajaran nahwu berbasis peta konsep melalui program interaktif lectora, (2) pembelajaran nahwu dengan pendekatan post method secara daring, (3) pemanfaatan aplikasi canva dan padlet untuk pembelajaran nahwu, dan (4) Pengembangan Video Pembelajaran Nahwu Berbantuan Aplikasi Screen-Cast-O-Matic. Di akhir pelatihan dilakukan pendampingan berkala selama dua bulan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan telah berjalan dengan sukses, dengan hasil yang baik dan mempunyai manfaat yang cukup tinggi bagi peserta. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan komentar dan saran yang disampaikan peserta melalui angket evaluasi yang disebarkan di akhir acara. Kendala yang dialami sebagian peserta lebih banyak berkaitan dengan aplikasi dan signal internet. Tetapi karena sudah merupakan tuntutan, maka mereka tetap berusaha berusaha menyesuaikan diri.

Abstract

The teaching of Arabic in madrasas suffers from vocabulary acquisition, especially among students who start learning the language after completing elementary schoolTraditional methods rely on memorization and have no contextualization, thus being unable to inspire students. With technological developments, digital learning media have been developed to further enhance the effectiveness of learning. This research covers the implementation of Canva-based vocabulary flashcards in Arabic teaching and learning activities at MTs. Darul Ulum Batuputih Sumenep, discussing whether or not its application has furthered vocabulary skill improvement in Arabic and mentioning constraints faced in implementation. The case study method adopts a qualitative design, and during data collection, observation, interview, and documentation were carried out, and during data analysis, an interactive analysis model was adapted from Miles and Huberman by looking for applicable patterns and data relationships. Results have shown that the Canva-based vocabulary flashcards significantly enhance the motivation and engagement of the students in understanding, retaining, and applying their vocabulary in speaking and writing. Moreover, teachers find this medium flexible and easy to adapt, despite challenges regarding limited technological access and teachers' digital competencies. Therefore, training and institutional policy support are essential for optimizing its implementation. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of this digital tool on overall Arabic language proficiency.

Abstract

This article examines a training program focused on creating PowerPoint-based interactive media, aimed at Arabic language teachers who are alumni of the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at Universitas Negeri Malang. The main goal of the training was to improve the professional and technological skills of teachers in creating engaging and interactive educational media. The training approach included theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and assessments of participants’ outputs. The findings reveal that participants successfully developed interactive media that were both informative and engaging for students. Additionally, feedback from participants indicated a boost in their confidence in integrating technology into their teaching practices. As a result, the training is anticipated to positively impact the professional development of Arabic language teachers and enhance the overall learning experience in schools. The study also highlights the need for continued training and ongoing support to ensure the effective use of interactive media in educational settings.

Abstract

Arabic is regarded as a foreign language by the majority of Indonesians, and students often find it challenging to learn. To enhance students' Arabic language skills, cooperative learning models such as Think-Pair-Share (TPS) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) have been implemented. This study utilizes a library research method to gather theoretical support for the effectiveness of these models. The TPS and NHT approaches have been shown to improve students' proficiency in Arabic. Research findings indicate that students respond positively to these methods, as they foster an active, enjoyable, and collaborative learning environment. Observations reveal a significant enhancement in students' skills upon the implementation of TPS and NHT. These results demonstrate that TPS and NHT are effective strategies for teaching Arabic and have the potential for broader application in foreign language education.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Keragaman individu antar siswa memunculkan fenomena tidak meratanya pemahaman siswa. Hal ini tidak bisa terindahkan dalam mata pembelajaran Bahasa Arab. Kurikulum Merdeka memperkenalkan pendekatan diferensiasi untuk mengatasi keragaman individu siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Mengingat pendekatan ini baru diperkenalkan pada dua tahun terakhir, banyak guru yang masih bingung dalam mengaplikasikan pendekatan diferensiasi dalam pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi pada pembelajaran Bahasa Arab, serta implikasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif deskriptif dengan peneliti sebagai human instrument dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, untuk merumuskan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi dalam kelas Bahasa Arab pada berbagai tingkat kemampuan berdasarkan literatur yang relevan. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam Bahasa Arab memungkinkan guru menyesuaikan konten, proses, dan produk pembelajaran sesuai kemampuan, gaya belajar, dan minat siswa, sehingga tercipta lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan memotivasi. Dalam topik jumlah ismiyah, diferensiasi produk dapat berupa diagram untuk siswa visual, rekaman penjelasan struktur kalimat untuk siswa auditori, dan roleplay percakapan untuk siswa kinestetik, yang tidak hanya memperkuat pemahaman mubtada dan khabar, tetapi juga mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi bahasa Arab secara aplikatif dan menyenangkan.
