Abstract

Abstract. Live streaming on social media that creates new opportunities and trends makes TikTok a place for publications containing interesting information to listen to. Based on the research objectives, it was found "How and why of the Marketing Communication Strategy of House Of Smith Bandung Through Live Streaming TikTok". The research uses qualitative methods with the results showing that strategies are made so that information content is carried out in real time to be successful. It was concluded that in a live session, the live streamer will manage marketing communications. Abstrak. Strategi menjadi dasar penting bagi komunikasi pemasaran untuk mengembangkan perusahaan. Live streaming di media sosial yang menciptakan peluang dan trend baru menjadikan TikTok sebagai tempat publikasi berisi informasi menarik untuk disimak. Berdasarkan tujuan penelitian ditemukan “Bagaimana dan mengapa Strategi Komunikasi Pemasaran House Of Smith Bandung Melalui Live Streaming TikTok”. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif hasil menunjukkan strategi dibuat agar konten informasi yang dilakukan secara real time berhasil. Disimpulkan bahwa dalam sesi live, live streamer akan mengelola komunikasi pemasaran.

Abstract

Abstract. The development of coffee in Indonesia has been very rapid, because coffee is one of the plantation commodities sold on the world market. With the development of coffee in Indonesia, the consumption of coffee and coffee shops in Indonesia has also increased, this shows the growth of new professional fields that are increasingly popular among Generation Z in the city of Bandung, one of which is becoming a Barista. Generation Z grew up in the digital era and has unique characteristics in building their identity. The Barista profession is an attractive career choice for generation Z, as it provides an opportunity to express their creativity, expertise and interest in the fast-growing world of coffee. The purpose of this research is to find out the motives, meanings, and personal branding formed in Generation Z who work as Baristas. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Thus, researchers here are trying to unravel the various existing phenomena by way of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation selected as data collection techniques. The phenomenon of the rise of the Barista profession, which is of great interest to Generation Z, is studied using the theory of self-identity along with Alfred Schutz's phenomenological approach in the hope of being able to analyze data and information about this phenomenon more deeply. The results of the study show that informants as generation Z have several motives, namely motives for forming self-confidence, increasing experience, and increasing self-existence. The Barista profession is also interpreted as a positive trend for informants so that the personal branding that is formed gives an image as a barista who has different characteristics and characteristics. Abstrak. Perkembangan kopi di Indonesia sudah sangat pesat, karena kopi sudah termasuk salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang dijual ke pasar dunia. Dengan berkembangnya kopi di Indonesia, maka meningkat pula konsumsi kopi dan kedai kopi di Indonesia, hal ini menunjukan tumbuh bidang profesi baru yang kian digemari di kalangan Generasi Z di Kota Bandung salah satunya menjadi seorang Barista. Generasi Z tumbuh dalam era digital dan memiliki karakteristik yang unik dalam membangun identitas mereka. Profesi Barista menjadi salah satu pilihan karir yang menarik bagi generasi Z, karena memberikan peluang untuk mengungkapkan kreativitas,keahlian, dan minat mereka di dunia kopi yang berkembang pesat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Motif, Makna, dan personal branding yang terbentuk pada Generasi Z yang bekerja menjadi seorang Barista. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Dengan demikian, peneliti disini berusaha untuk mengurai berbagai fenomena yang ada dengan cara, Wawancara yang mendalam, Observasi dan Dokumentasi dipilih sebagai Teknik pengumpulan data. Fenomena maraknya profesi Barista yang diminati banyak Generasi Z ini dikaji menggukan teori identitas diri bersama pendekatan fenomenologi Alfred Schutz dengan harapan dapat mengurai data dan informasi mengenai fenomena tersebut lebih mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan informan selaku generasi Z memiliki beberapa motif yaitu motif membentuk kepercayaan diri, menambah pengalaman, dan meningkatkan eksistensi diri. Profesi Barista ini juga di maknai sebagai tren yang positif bagi para informan sehingga personal branding yang terbentuk memberikan image sebagai barista yang memiliki ciri khas dan karakteristik yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Abstract. Song is a communication tool that involves songwriters and listeners where songwriters can convey messages to listeners through mass communication. Songs can be effective learning tools if the messages in them are well conveyed. This study aims to analyze the text of motivational messages and the relationship between signs and motivation by using objects from the lyrics of the song "Si Lemah" by RAN and Indies and then analyzing each stanza using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis which focuses on the meaning of signifiers and signifieds. Then you will find keywords in each stanza that have meaning. This research uses qualitative methods and is carried out systematically with a constructivist paradigm. The results of this study found that there is a motivational text in each verse in the song "Si Weak" which can motivate listeners to love themselves and there is a relationship between the sign and the motivation in each verse to love oneself by accepting one's shortcomings and focusing on oneself. Abstrak. Lagu merupakan salah satu alat komunikasi yang melibatkan antara pencipta lagu dan pendengar dimana pencipta lagu dapat menyampaikan pesan kepada pendengarnya melalui komunikasi massa. Lagu bisa menjadi alat pembelajaran yang efektik apabila pesan didalamnya tersampaikan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teks pesan motivasi dan relasi antara tanda dengan motivasi dengan menggunakan objek dari lirik lagu “Si Lemah” karya RAN dan Hindia lalu akan dianalisis setiap baitnya menggunakan analisis semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure yang berfokus pada makna penanda dan petanda. Kemudian akan ditemukan kata kunci pada setiap baitnya yang memiliki makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dilakukan secara sistematis dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa adanya teks motivasi pada setiap bait dalam lagu “Si Lemah” yang dapat memotivasi pendengar untuk mencintai diri sendiri dan terdapat relasi antara tanda dengan motivasi pada setiap baitnya untuk mencintai diri sendiri dengan menerima kekurangan dan fokus pada diri sendiri.

Abstract

Today's social media cannot be separated from daily activities, so that currently the penetration of social media is increasing and giving birth to a new phenomenon, namely the disclosure of one's identity or self-disclosure through social media, especially Instagram. This phenomenon encourages researchers to study the behavior of students in the city of Bandung in expressing their identity. This study used a qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm and a phenomenological approach, while determining the subject using purposive sampling technique, namely three students from three universities in Bandung and active users of Instagram. Data collection was carried out by interview and observation to strengthen research data. The results showed that self-disclosure through social media Instagram was carried out only in the open self area starting with a sense of wanting to share moments, experiences and feelings and was deemed worthy to be shared through social media. With the aim of simply sharing information with followers, while maintaining a confidential identity which is a personal identity and can lead to misunderstanding.

Abstract

Abstrak. Dalam era digital yang semakin maju, perkembangan teknologi semakin mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Munculnya kecerdasan buatan turut serta menjadi teknologi yang menjanjikan dalam dunia pendidikan, salah-satunya adalah AI chat GPT. Kecerdasan buatan AI chat GPT dapat membantu dengan menjawab pertanyaan yang disampaikan oleh penggunanya, tetapi dalam penggunaannya kecerdasan buatan AI chat GPT memiliki banyak situasi pro dan kontra. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dengan bertujuan untuk mengungkap kesadaran mahasiswa dalam menggunakan AI chat GPT sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pada penelitian ini penentuan subjek dilakukan dengan cara purposive random sampling pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Islam Bandung. Setelah melakukan wawncara dengan narasumber terkait, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran mahasiswa dalam menggunakan teknologi AI chat GPT sebagai media pembelajaran membuahkan dua sudut pandang. 1) Mahasiswa mudah mengerti dalam menggunakan teknologi ini sebagai media pembelajaran dan 2) Mahasiswa merasakan diperlukannya kebijakan dalam penggunaan teknologi ini sebagai media pembelajaran agar pemanfaatannya tidak menjadi disalahgunakan.

Abstract

Abstract. In celebration of the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung in 2022, the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office is holding a logo competition to celebrate the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung. In the design itself, the logo must have a background regarding the process of creating the logo. This use of the logo for the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung provides a representation of the theme raised, namely Rising Together for Bandung to be Champion. The research objectives of this study are as follows: To find out the meaning of "Rising Together for Bandung Champion" which is represented in the Object, Interpretant, Representament of the 212th Bandung City Anniversary logo. This research uses a semiotic method by analyzing the 212th Bandung City Anniversary logo which analyzes , and explains the results based on Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic signs in the logo for the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung. The results in the logo for the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung have these elements consisting of a logogram showing the silhouette of a bird that forms the writing 212, then in Bandung City logotype, and finally the logotype tagline in the form of Rise Together for Bandung Champion. The use of the colors of this logo refers directly to the use of the colors of the Bandung City symbol. In conclusion, in object terms, the meaning of rising together for Bandung to become champions is depicted through a bird symbol that gives hope, on Bandung's 212th anniversary. Interpretantly, in this case, the designation of the fowl animal that is identified with the city of Bandung is the kutilang bird or manuk cangkurileung. In this case, representation can provide a spirit of trust in the city of Bandung, which will resolve the problem of the Covid-19 pandemic that has befallen Bandung since 2020, and give the impression of a success that can be achieved and realized. Abstrak. Dalam perayaan Hari Jadi Kota Bandung yang ke-212 pada tahun 2022 ini, Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Bandung melakukan sebuah sayembara logo untuk perayaan Hari Jadi Kota Bandung ke 212. Dalam desain sendiri logo harus memiliki latar belakang tentang proses terciptanya logo. Hal ini penggunaan logo Hari Jadi Kota Bandung yang ke 212 memberikan sebuah representasi atas tema yang diangkat yaitu Bangkit Bersama untuk Bandung Juara. Tujuan penelitian pada penelitian ini sebagai berikut : Untuk mengetahui makna “Bangkit Bersama Untuk Bandung Juara” yang direpresentasikan dalam Object, Interpretant, Representament logo Hari Jadi Kota Bandung ke 212. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode semiotika dengan menganalisis logo Hari Jadi Kota Bandung ke 212 yang menganalisis, dan memaparkan hasilnya berdasarkan dari tanda secara semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce dalam logo Hari Jadi Kota Bandung ke 212. Hasilnya dalam logo Hari Jadi Kota Bandung ke 212 memiliki unsur-unsur tersebut terdiri atas Logogram yang menujukan siluet dari burung yang membentuk tulisan 212, lalu pada Logotype Kota Bandung, dan yang terakhir Logotype tagline yang berupa Bangkit Bersama Untuk Bandung Juara. Penggunaan warna logo ini merujuk langsung kepada penggunaan warna lambang Kota Bandung. Kesimpulannya secara Object makna bangkit Bersama untuk Bandung juara tersebut digambarkan melalui sebuah simbol burung yang memberikan sebuah harapan, pada ulang tahun Bandung yang ke 212. Secara interpretant dalam hal ini penunjukan hewan unggas yang di identik dengan Kota Bandung adalah burung kutilang atau manuk cangkurileung. Secara Representament dalam hal ini bisa memberikan sebuah semangat kepercayaan kepada Kota Bandung, yang akan menuntaskan masalah tentang masalah pamdemi covid 19 yang sudah menimpa Bandung sejak tahun 2020, dan memberikan kesan sebuah kejayaan yang bisa tercapai dan terwujud.

Abstract

Social media has become a very important tool in political communication, especially in the face of presidential election contestation. This study aims to analyze Anies Baswedan's political communication on social media ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Using a qualitative approach and content analysis method, this study examines Anies Baswedan's political communication content on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. The results showed that Anies Baswedan raised various themes and main issues in his political communication on social media, such as the economy, education, health, infrastructure, corruption, and environment. He uses a critical and vocal communication style in voicing opinions and criticizing government policies. His communication strategy also includes efforts to image himself as a leader who is vocal, critical, close to the people, experienced, competent, and concerned about environmental issues and sustainable development. Anies Baswedan's political communication on social media received diverse responses from audiences, ranging from support to intense criticism and debate. However, political communication on social media also faces a number of challenges and implications, such as political polarization, the spread of false information, black campaigns, and issues of digital campaign ethics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of digital literacy programmes for women to raise awareness and combat hoaxes. The object of the research is the women's recitation community who are members of the Aisyiyah organisation. The importance of digital literacy in today's digital era and the need for continued investment in programmes to help women become more digitally literate. Using a quasi-experimental design, this study used pre-test and post-test data to measure awareness and combat hoaxes. Data was collected from primary and secondary sources, including surveys and literature reviews. The results showed an improvement in literacy and this reflected the participants' understanding and application of digital literacy skills, including social media, blogs, videos, images and editing tools. A comparison between the pre and post-test results and the change in error rates can give an idea of the increase or decrease in digital literacy skills after the programme.

Abstract

Background: West Java Province is advancing towards digital governance with the West Java Digital Service. In 2023, it received the Indonesian Regional Government Appreciation Award for Integrated Digital Transformation from B-Universe. The revamped jabarprov.go.id portal provides an integrated one-stop public service platform, enhancing public access to information and services. Integration across regional, district, and city agencies has simplified portal management. The government’s approach to digital transformation includes adopting an electronic-based government system (SPBE) as part of its public communication strategy. This study explores the effectiveness of digital transformation via SPBE for communication advancement by the West Java Regional Government. It assesses its impact on public accessibility and service efficiency. Methods: This study uses a case study method and Focus Group Discussions with E-government managers in 28 cities/regencies in West Java. Results: The study reveals that public communication encompasses services for society, businesses, government, and ASN. Interaction processes involve infrastructure development, information provision, two-way interaction, and managing feedback. Information transactions include a complaint platform, guidelines, complaint submission, verification, handling, confirmation, resolution, and evaluation. Collaborations span government, society, the private sector, NGOs, academia, and international partners. Public communication optimation improves satisfaction, efficiency, transparency, accountability, and participation. Conclusion: Digital transformation through SPBE enhances efficiency, transparency, and public involvement, with government public relations crucial for supporting and optimizing SPBE performance. Implication: The research implies that the government should enhance information models for broader accessibility, which covers those with physical or digital limitations, and facilitate two-way interactions through digital platforms, AI, and Chatbots. Besides, education and socialization regarding SPBE services are fundamental.
