Abstract

This study aims to analyze student errors in working on the problem on the indicators of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the comparison material at one of the private junior high schools in the city of Bandung. The research method is carried out quantitatively with a descriptive approach. Sampling of the research conducted was as many as 37 in one of the private junior high schools in the city of Bandung. In the technique of collecting data used tests. The test is based on indicators of mathematical problem solving abilities using five indicators with the number of questions as many as 4 items. Based on the results of tests carried out by analyzing student errors in each indicator of problem solving ability, it was found that the indicators of re-checking were the indicators with the most errors of answers.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low ability of students' mathematical understanding and learning motivation of junior high school students. This study aims to determine the ability of students' mathematical understanding and student motivation to learn using the Problem Based Learning approach. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a pretest and posttest group design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Margaasih in Bandung Regency. The sample in this study were two classes from class VIII, namely class VIII F as Experiment I class and VIII G as Experiment II class. The research data were obtained through tests of students' mathematical understanding abilities and student mathematics learning motivation questionnaires. Based on quantitative data analysis, it can be concluded that the ability of students' mathematical understanding and learning motivation of junior high school students whose learning uses the Problem Based Learning approach increases.

Abstract

In industrial revolution 4.0, education must follow and utilize information and communication technology. Android is an operating system on mobile devices, and Indonesia's most popular and widely used mobile device operating system. The Open-Ended approach is an approach in mathematics learning that provides opportunities for students to explore open problems with various strategies for solving problems. One problem that often arises in learning in schools is the study of the anchovies of each textbook varies, and the material contained in the book does not match the characteristics of the students. To realize this, the world of education needs to implement the use of e-Modules. Seeing this problem, the development of an android-based e-Module with an open-ended approach is required. Research and development with the ADDIE model is this type of research. The subjects of this study were as many as 15 middle school students in grade 8 for limited tests and 30 students for a broader test. The research aimed to produce Android-based electronic teaching materials with an open-ended approach to square and triangular materials. The resulting product is an e-Module in the form of an android package kit (APK). The result of the study concluded that the development of teaching materials with an android-based open-ended approach went well with the practicality test results obtained by 83%, which means that the teaching materials are efficient to use and got 86.6% in the effectiveness test, which means that the teaching materials developed are suitable for use.

Abstract

This development research is motivated because students need practical teaching materials when studied in the classroom and outside the classroom. This study aims to develop teaching materials for number patterns using a scientific approach assisted by ICT to improve students' conceptual understanding skills. This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) research with the procedure for developing teaching materials using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were private MTs students in Cianjur with data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Student responses to teaching materials are included in the good category with an achievement percentage of 72,86%, meaning that student responses to learning with teaching materials using number pattern materials using an ICT-assisted scientific approach received a good response. The results of the t-test got the results tcount = 29,65 > ttable = 1,696, meaning that the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts increased after using number pattern teaching materials using a scientific approach assisted by ICT.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research with stages that include planning, implementing action, observing, and reflecting. This study aims to describe how to improve students' mathematical understanding skills when using a scientific approach to algebraic form material. This research was conducted on 21 students of grade VII SMP IT Budi Luhur academic year 2021/2022. The instrument used in this study was 5 questions referring to the indicators of understanding ability given at the beginning of learning and at the end of learning, which were then analyzed by calculating the average value of each question that would be done with Ms. Excel. Data processing was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the ability of mathematical understanding can be improved using a scientific approach.

Abstract

Online group guidance services are a process of assistance carried out by BK teachers or counselors to students or counselees using online media. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation, student and teacher responses, the difficulties encountered and the obstacles that occurred in the implementation of group guidance services conducted online. The research method used in this study is to use a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of a primary subject, namely one BK teacher and 4 students, and a secondary subject consisting of the principal and one homeroom teacher. The results of the study indicate that online group guidance services using discussion techniques can help students improve their self-control and students can be wiser in language on social media and can better manage the time when to do assignments and when is the right time to play social media.Keywords: Self-Control of Social Media Users, Group Guidance, Discussion Techniques

Abstract

This study is aimed at knowing the description of group guidance services on low assertive behavior in students. Assertive behavior is very influential on the social life of students if students have low  assertive behavior then they must be treated immediately in the form online-based group guidance services. This research was conducted at MA Al-Mukhtariyah Mande. The subject were 3 students of class XI who had low assertive behavior as a results of the rekommendations of guidance and counseling teachers at school. In ths study, the approach used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that students after being given online-based group guidance services got a good response and changes in behavior that were shown in accordance with the aspect shown in assertive behavior, such as being able to express feelings comportably, act according to their own interests, defend themselves, and not deny the right of others.Keywords: group guidance, assertive

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of students who have a negative self-concept at Mts Al Bidayah, West Bandung Regency. The use of methods or methods in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The technique in collecting data is using observation and interviews. As for measuring tools, researchers use AUM to reveal various problems students are facing. The result of the research is that there are 2 students who have a negative self-concept. The picture of negative self-concept in these students is as follows: the student has a feeling that other people's views of him are very irregular, the self-concept of the student is too stable and regular or can be said to be too rigid so that this type when he gets new information feels as a threat. and cause anxiety.Keywords:Self concept, Students

Abstract

Currently it is known to use online or through distance learning (PPJ) teachers when explaining lessons using applications (Zoom, Google chrome, Whatshap, Google from) of course learning through online media or learning (online) also affects other teachers, especially teachers guidance and counseling, as teachers are required to be active on student psychology, guidance and counseling teachers play a role in facilitating the development of students' potential in the personal, social, learning, career, and personal development aspects of students, so that this becomes a new challenge for guidance and counseling teachers in providing services during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that trigger low learning motivation of students in class XI IPS 3 at SMA Darul Falah Cihampelas during the covid-19 outbreak. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are using observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, the factors that caused low learning motivation for the six students were students. It often happened that students who did not excel were not caused by their lack of ability, but because there was no motivation to learn so they did not try to direct all their abilitie the traditional.  Keywords: Learning Motivation, Group Guidance, Pademic Covid-19

Abstract

Self-confidence is a very important capital for a person to have the choice to be aware of themselves. Confidence is one of the side effects of positive self-realization, by having the confidence of students who are ready to cultivate the abilities, interests and possibilities that exist in him so that it can be formed into victory or around it is called achievement.. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. The purpose in this study is to explain the implementation of group guidance for learners who have low self-confidence in Ummul Quro Junior High School.The subjects of this study were 6 learners (3 men and 3 women) Class VIII at Ummul Quro Junior High School. The information obtained in this review is information obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. It can be concluded that the number of directions for learners who have low self-confidence is very attractive in managing low self-confidence in school.Keywords: Group guidance, self confidence
