Abstract

The evaluation study aimed to describe the implementation of Bahasa Indonesia as character development subject  (Matakuliah Pengembangan Kepribadian/MPK) seen from (1) the learning plan, (2) the implementation of learning, and (3) evaluation of learning. Evaluation model used was a stake evaluation model (Countenance Model). Data were analyzed by descriptive-quantitative. The data were collected by using questionnaire, interview, and documentation. Categorization percentage is divided into five criteria, namely excellent (> 80%), good (60%-80%), fairly good (40%-60%), poor (20%-40%), and very poorly (<20%). The research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2015/2016 with the sample of 315 students. The results showed that in general the Bahasa Indonesia as character development subject was categorised as good with the percentage of 71.02%, in detail, the result can be described as follows: (1) the learning plan is categorized as good with the percentage of 72.62%, (2) the implementation of learning is categorized as good with the persentage of 69.85%, and (3) evaluation of learning activities is categorized as good with the persentage of 70.59%. The implications of this research for lecturers is a need for efforts to sustain the implementation of learning that has been good even working on improving and working to improve elements of learning activities that have not been considered good. The results of the study suggest that regular evaluation needs to be done to get a better picture of evaluation with a larger number of sample. Another suggestion that can be proposed is the evaluation of learning by using a variety of evaluation model to get a better result of the learning Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (P2M) ini bertujuan untuk  (1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru SD di Kecamatan Busungbiu mengenai konsep kurikulum 2013, (2) meningkatkan pemahaman guru SD di Kecamatan Busungbiu mengenai analisi buku materi kurikulum 2013, dan (3) meningkatkan kemampuan guru SD dalam implementasi kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum 2013. Pencapaian tujuan tersebut dilakukan melalui pelatihan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, dan latihan (tutorial). Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa Program P2M berlangsung dengan baik dan lancar. Program ini mampu memberi pemahaman kepada guru mengenai konsep kurikulum 2013 dan elemen pembeda dengan kurikulum yang sebelumnya diterapkan. Program P2M yang diselenggarangan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang implementasi kurikulum 2013 dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Adapun saran yang dapat diajukan dari hasil Program P2M bagi guru-guru SD diharapkan memiliki motivasi dalam mengembangkan pemahaman mengenai kurikulum 2013 agar pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan dalam kurikulum 2013. Bagi praktisi pendidikan diharapkan senantiasa dapat membantu guru-guru SD dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai kurikulum 2013. Bagi LPM melalui DIPA UNDIKSHA hendaknya selalu menjembatani program sejenis untuk terus dapat dilaksanakan dan dikembangkan.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 1 Baktisegara, Kecamatan Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali. Mitra ini dipilih karena memiliki masalah, yaitu kemampuan pengelolaan sarana dan lingkungan sekolah yang belum berbasis literasi. Mengingat begitu pentingnya Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, salah satunya adalah mengelola sarana dan lingkungan sekolah yang kaya teks, maka kegiatan PkM berkaitan dengan pelatihan pengelolaan sarana dan lingkungan sekolah dasar berbasis literasi perlu dilakukan. Tujuannya adalah SD Negeri 1 Baktiseraga secara mandiri nantinya mampu mengelola dan mengembangkan sarana dan lingkungan yang kaya teks dan tujuan berikutnya siswa semakin meningkatnya semangat belajar dan minat baca siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini akan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: 1) pelatihan pengelolaan sarana dan lingkungan sekolah berbasis literasi; 2) pendampingan pengelolaan sarana dan lingkungan sekolah berbasis literasi; dan 3) evaluasi dan refleksi kegiatan PkM. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah kepala SD N 1 Baktiseraga dan guru sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini. Saat diskusi guru sangat antusias bertanya terkait program yang dibuat. Setelah dilakukan kegiatan workshop, guru kemudian membuat program menata sarana dan lingkungan yang kaya literasi. Kegiatan ini didampingi secara online oleh para pengabdi.Kata kunci: Sarana dan Lingkungan, Sekolah Dasar, Berbasis Literasi

Abstract

Abstract. German language learning at Bali Tourism Polytechnic (BiTP), particularly in reading skills, often faces challenges in effectiveness and student engagement. Students tend to passively receive material in class and lack motivation to develop reading skills independently. This study aims to improve German reading skills and foster independent learning motivation through the Flipped Classroom model. Using Classroom Action Research (CAR), the study examines the model’s application in teaching "Deutsch im Restaurant," focusing on reading skills. Research instruments include participatory observation, reading tests, motivation questionnaires, and lecturer reflection notes. Conducted in 5th-semester Food and Beverage Service classes, the study followed Poltekpar Bali’s daily schedule. The approach allows students to study materials at home via readings and videos, maximizing class time for discussions and deeper comprehension. The results demonstrate that the Flipped Classroom model is effective in improving German reading skills, with significant enhancements in text comprehension and active student participation. The implementation of this method also successfully increased students' independent learning motivation. The global implication of this research is the potential for the Flipped Classroom model to be adapted in other foreign language learning contexts, particularly in enhancing reading skills and self-directed learning across various educational institutions. However, the application of the Flipped Classroom model also presents challenges, such as varying levels of independent learning abilities among students. Therefore, lecturers need to prepare materials thoroughly and provide clear guidance to ensure all students can optimally benefit from this method. Keywords: Deutsch im Restaurant, Flipped Classroom, Reading Skills

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the art of storytelling skills in Early Childhood as a medium of education and entertainment, in shaping children's personalities, and guiding children's emotional intelligence. Character formation from an early age is very important so that children have a strong mentality when facing challenges, changes and certain situations in the future. The problems that are currently spreading in national life are the moral crisis and the crisis of role models. The moral crisis can be overcome through character building. In the scope of schools, character building can be applied through learning literature that has a moral dimension. We can say that the main function of children's literature is delce et utite 'to entertain and educate', which in practice are interconnected. Children's literature can play a role as an effective character builder because the moral values ​​(honesty, sacrifice, democracy, politeness, love, justice, and friendship) it carries are conveyed implicitly. The message of the story can be realized metaphorically so that the teaching and learning process takes place pleasantly and does not patronize. Instilling commendable characters in early childhood through fairy tales can be said to be the most effective because fairy tales are so close to their daily lives. The goal of literature education in Elementary Schools through fairy tales is in line with the goal of national education, namely the formation of humans who have good understanding, attitudes, and behavior. This research is a type of descriptive literature study. The sample in this study is a sample of the prose genre taken from local Sumbanese wisdom which is generally known by children such as Folk tales or fairy tales such as Watu Maladong, Wee Wini, Watu Kaweda and Pasola. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the discourse framing of Kompas.com news texts related to the hashtag “Kabur Aja Dulu”, which was published in the period 17 February - 17 March 2025. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with Teun A. Van Dijk analysis model. The research data was obtained through digital documentation of Kompas.com articles using the hashtag “Kabur Aja Dulu”, then analyzed through three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The analysis was conducted systematically using Van Dijk's structural framework which includes three levels of analysis: macro structure, superstructure, and microstructure. The analysis shows that Kompas.com tends to use language and interview techniques that reflect the government's perspective, with complex discourse framing patterns that reflect power dynamics in news production. Through the analysis of Van Dijk's model, it can be seen that the media uses various linguistic and structural strategies to build a narrative that is in line with the government's perspective, including the use of formal language, structured interview techniques, and the construction of a strong narrative about the urgency of handling the phenomenon. Overall, this study reveals how the mass media play an important role in the social construction of reality through the way they frame and convey information to the public.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan film dokumenter dalam pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan, kendala yang dihadapi guru, serta respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek guru dan siswa, serta objek penelitian berupa penggunaan film dokumenter, kendala pembelajaran, dan respons siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan dengan menggunakan film dokumenter mencakup tiga tahapan, yaitu pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan penutup yang terlaksana dengan baik. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan waktu yang belum efektif, perbedaan kemampuan siswa, kurangnya fokus siswa, serta kesulitan dalam memberikan motivasi. Respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran ini tergolong sangat positif dengan persentase 29,5%. Penggunaan film dokumenter terbukti mampu meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa dalam menulis teks ulasan.

Abstract

Balinese script learning in schools still faces obstacles of low motivation and student learning outcomes due to the use of conventional models that do not actively involve students. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model based on the Patik Bali application on students' motivation and learning outcomes in writing Balinese script. This study uses a quasi-experimental design method with the subjects of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Denpasar which is divided into experimental classes and control classes. The instruments used included learning outcome tests and learning motivation questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using the MANOVA test to see the effect of the learning model on two variables that rotate simultaneously. The results of the study show that the Patik Bali application-based STAD model has a positive and significant influence on student motivation and learning outcomes. The average learning motivation of the experimental class was 72.78 and the learning outcome was 81.86 higher than the control class which obtained an average motivation of 61.25 and learning outcomes of 75.25. These findings show that the integration of technology through the Patik Bali application in the cooperative learning model can increase student participation and understanding in Balinese script learning. This research offers a new contribution by integrating the culture-based Patik Bali application into the STAD cooperative learning model specifically designed for Balinese literacy learning and combining regional language preservation with digital pedagogy to improve student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pelanggaran prinsip  kerja sama dalam humor pada film Agak Laen dan menganalisis makna ilokusi yang dihasilkan akibat pelanggaran prinsip kerja sama. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk mengkaji tuturan humor yang terdapat dalam film Agak Laen. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat untuk mengumpulkan data berupa pelanggaran prinsip kerja sama dalam humor pada film Agak Laen. Tahapan analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa humor dalam film Agak Laen melanggar prinsip kerja sama, meliputi maksim kualitas, kuantitas, relevansi, dan cara. Pelanggaran terhadap maksim kuantitas adalah pelanggaran paling dominan. Semakin penutur memberikan informasi yang berlebihan justru semakin menunjang efek humor. Pelanggaran terhadap prinsip kerja sama menghasilkan makna ilokusi, mencakup asertif, direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif. Namun, tidak ditemukan makna deklaratif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan evaluasi berbantuan situs Gimkit dalam mata pelajaran teks berita yang dilihat dari respons sikap siswa kelas VII.10 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif studi kasus dengan mengambil subjek siswa kelas VII.10 dan objek situs Gimkit sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada sub materi unsur pembangun dan unsur kebahasaan teks berita dan respons sikap siswa terhadap penerapan tersebut. Metode pengumpulan yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, observasi partisipasi pasif, kuesioner tertutup, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif untuk data kuantitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh, yaitu penerapan situs Gimkit berhasil dilakukan dan dapat diterima oleh seluruh siswa kelas VII.10 dengan baik. Penerapan ini membuat suasana saat kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan, seru, dan ceria. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, respons sikap siswa terhadap penerapan evaluasi berbantuan situs Gimkit ini memperoleh keseluruhan rata-rata 4,25 yang berada di kategori “sangat baik” dari 85% siswa yang memberikan sikap positif terhadap penerapan evaluasi Gimkit. Dengan demikian, penerapan evaluasi berbantuan situs Gimkit terbukti efektif untuk menumbuhkan sikap siswa ke arah yang lebih positif.
