Abstract

4.0 Industrial Revolution brings significant changes across various aspects of life, including the retail sector. The adoption of automation technology in supermarkets can enhance efficiency and consumer convenience. One of the challenges is the use of conventional shopping carts, which require pushing and pulling, often creating difficulties for customers with physical limitations. To address this issue, this study proposes the development of an automated robotic cart using mechanical wheels. Mecanum wheels enable dynamic movement in all directions without the need to change the wheel orientation, making them a more flexible solution compared to traditional differential wheels. The robotic cart is equipped with four 120 mm mecanum wheels and uses DC motors controlled by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) through an H-bridge circuit and microcontroller. This technology implementation is expected to facilitate smoother cart movement and improve the shopping experience. The study presents the design and kinematic movement of the robot, demonstrating the advantages of using mecanum wheels in enhancing the mobility and flexibility of automated shopping carts

Abstract

Unpredictable weather changes are a challenge in everyday life, especially in household activities such as drying clothes. This study develops an automatic canopy drive system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to respond to weather changes in real-time. This system uses a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller connected to the Blynk application and various sensors, including a rain sensor, light sensor (LDR), and temperature sensor (DHT11). These sensors detect environmental conditions and control the opening and closing of the canopy automatically to protect the drying area. Tests show that the system works optimally with temperature parameters of more than 25°C, light intensity of more than 10,000 lux, and no rain conditions to open the canopy, while if one of the conditions is not met, the canopy will automatically close. With a monitoring feature via a mobile application, this system provides convenience and efficiency for users in dealing with unpredictable weather changes.

Abstract

Increasing the cultivation of hydroponic plants presents challenges, particularly in monitoring water pH and controlling temperature and humidity in hydroponic farming, which are often neglected. The lack of proper monitoring can significantly impact hydroponic plant growth. This issue arises due to the reliance on manual checks, which prevents real-time and efficient monitoring. This research employs a comparative method to analyze water pH levels using both a water pH sensor and a pH meter. For temperature and humidity monitoring in the hydroponic plant area, the study compares the readings of the DHT22 sensor with online weather data, both monitored anytime via a web server. Temperature and humidity data can be accessed at any time, but the focus of comparison is on daytime, as temperature and humidity fluctuations are more drastic, with temperatures exceeding 30°C. The purpose of this test is to determine the water pH level as well as the temperature and humidity conditions suitable for hydroponic farming. Based on observations, the developed system enables real-time monitoring via a web server, demonstrating good performance and meeting efficiency objectives in automated temperature and humidity control. The implementation of this system is expected to be expanded in the future, providing a viable solution for users and enhancing process efficiency in related fields

Abstract

The need for an efficient and reliable weather monitoring system in areas with limited communication infrastructure has led to the development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based solution utilizing LoRa (Long Range) technology. This study presents the design and implementation of a local-area weather monitoring system using the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller and the LoRa RA-02 communication module. The system monitors environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, and air pressure using various sensors including DHT-21, BMP280, A3114, and INA219. Sensor data is collected by the transmitter node and sent via LoRa to a receiver node equipped with an ESP32 microcontroller. The receiver processes the data and sends it to the Blynk IoT platform and Google Sheets for visualization and storage. Experimental results show reliable transmission over distances up to 530 meters in dense environments and 2 kilometers in open areas. The system demonstrated low power consumption, making it suitable for solar-powered applications. The proposed solution is practical, flexible, and cost-effective, providing valuable support for weather-dependent decision-making in remote locations..
