Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes of students in 4th grade Seluma 28th Public Elementary School on natural science subjects classifying animals by using the inquiry method. The research subjects 18 students, consisting of 10 male students and 8 female students. This type of research is classroom action research. This research consists of three stages, namely 1). Planning, 2). Actions, 3). Observation, and 4) Reflection. This research was conducted in three cycles, namely Pre-Cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The data collection technique was carried out by observing what was done by the teacher and the supervisor 2. From the results of the research conducted, it was seen an increase in student learning outcomes from each cycle. In the pre-cycle implementation, the average value of student learning outcomes is 64.44 with 50% completeness. In cycle I the average value of student learning outcomes is 76.11 with 72% completeness. In cycle II the average value of student learning outcomes is 88.89 with 100% completeness. From the results of this learning improvement study, it can be seen that the application of the inquiry method to the subjects of Natural Sciences classifying Animals can improve the learning outcomes of Grade IV students at SD Negeri 28 Seluma.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 28 Seluma pada mata pelajaran IPA pokok bahasan Menggolongkan Hewan dengan menggunakan metode inquiry. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa-siswi kelas IV SD Negeri 28 Seluma yang berjumlah 18 orang yang terdiri atas 10 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswi perempuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu 1) Perencanaan, 2) Tindakan, 3) Observasi, dan 4) Refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, yaitu Pra Siklus, Siklus I, dan Siklus II. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara melakukan observasi yang dilakukan oleh guru dan supervisor 2. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terlihat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari setiap siklus. Pada pelaksanaan pra siklus, nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 64,44 dengan ketuntasan 50%. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 76,11 dengan ketuntasan 72%. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 88,89 dengan ketuntasan 100%. Dari hasil penelitian perbaikan pembelajaran ini terlihat bahwa penerapan metode inquiry pada mata pelajaran IPA pokok bahasan Menggolongkan Hewan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 28 Seluma.Kata Kunci: Metode Inquiry: IPA; Hasil belajar; Penggolongan Hewan.

Student learning outcomes can be improved applying a learning model ARIAS and Scientific Inquiry Pictorial Techniques Riddle. This study aims to: (1) know the difference between average yield learnng physics students taught using inquiry learning model ARIAS with Scientific Techniques Pictorial Riddle, (2) determine average physics student learning outcomes are higher among ARIAS learning model with Scientific inquiry Pictorial Techniques Riddle. This research has been carried out in second semester of school year 2012/2013 in SMAN 13 Bandarlampung and the sample class XI IPA2 and XI IPA1 totaling 80 students. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The design is One-Shot Case Study. Learning outcomes data obtained from average achievement test. Data were analyzed using independent sample t test. The results of analysis of data with an average value of learning outcomes in the classroom ARIAS at 64.39 while Pictorial Technique of Scientific Inquiry class Riddle of 74.91. Thus be concluded: (1) There is difference between average yield learning physics students taught using inquiry learning model ARIAS with Scientific Techniques Pictorial Riddle, (2) Average yield learning physics students taught using learning model ARIAS lower than average learning outcomes of students who were taught physics model Pictorial Riddle Engineering Scientific Inquiry.Key words: ARIAS, Scientific Inquiry Pictorial Techniques Riddle, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Web-Based Inquiry is an important investigative activity that should be implemented in the classroom. Such investigative activity, or investigation in general, serves as the basis for a researcher to develop his or her study. In relation to this initiative, the ICT-based learning capacity becomes a significant part since this capacity serves as the basis for the utilization of the Web-Based Inquiry, which has been marked by the capacity of operating the overall investigation information from the ICT-based learning. Departing from this elaboration, the objective of the study is to describe the capacity of ICT information and the delivery of the preliminary information for the needs of the Web-Based Inquiry. During the conduct of the study, the purposive sampling technique was implemented in order to define the number of the sample. As a result, 66 students from Batch 2019 of Lampung University were selected as the subjects for the study. Then, the data gathering instrument that had been implemented was the investigation (ICT-Based Learning) questionnaire. The data that had been gathered then were descriptively analysed. The results of the study show that the biggest data portion has been found in the use of the Internet-accessing tool although the score of this biggest portion falls into the “Low” category (under 25%). Thus, it might be implied that the Natural History teacher candidates have relatively not internalized the awareness and the best innovation in combining the lesson and the use of ICT through the ways that are more understandable for the students.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to implement an integrated science learning in order to reveal student’s scientific process skills. Subjects of this study were Grade VII students of SMP in Bandar Lampung. This study used a quantitative approach. Data was collected using test and video recording. With regards to the implementation of the integrated science learning, the data showed that such learning approach has been relatively well implemented. This contributed to the data of students’ scientific process skills which was observed to be improved by 7.5%. This result was strengthened by the data from video recording that showed an adequate achievement of scientific skills indicators. The average percentage of scientific indicators of explaining scientific phenomena, evaluating and designing scientific in research, and interpreting the data and scientific avidence were respectively 68,6%, 77,1%, and 81,7%. These values indicated an overall improvement of 11,5% that was considered to be good. More importantly, students and teachers showed positive response on the integrated science learning. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan pembelajaran IPA Terpadu untuk mengungkap kemampuan proses sains siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri Kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan soal tes dan perekaman video. Berkaitan dengan penerapan IPA terpadu, data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran tersebut telah dilaksanakan dengan relatif baik. Hal ini berdampak pada data kemampuan proses sains siswa yang terlihat meningkat sebanyak 7.5%. Hasil ini diperkuat dengan data dari rekaman video yang menunjukkan pencapaian yang cukup baik pada indikator-indikator kemampuan saintifik. Rata-rata persentase dari indikator saintifik fenomena, mengevaluasi dan merancang penelitian, dan  menginterpretasi data dan bukti ilmiah adalah masing-masing 68,6%, 77,1%, and 81,7%. Nilai tersebut mengindikasikan peningkatan keseluruhan sebanyak 11.5% yang cenderung baik. Abstract

Lingkungan belajar memiliki arti yang paling erat dengan proses interaksi belajar mengajar antara siswa dan guru, proses ini terus menerus dilakukan sehingga menciptakan suatu kondisi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melalukan analisis kebutuhan pembelajaran IPA mengenai kondisi ideal terhadap pemecahan masalah kognitif, yang dicapai siswa khususnya dalam lingkungan belajar IPA. Penelitian ini diperlukan sebagai tahap awal dalam Research and Development (R&D), penelitian ini termasuk deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen datanya. 63 siswa sekolah menengah sebagai subjek dalam peneltian ini ditinjau kebutuhannya yang tersaji dalam bentuk hasil persentase. Berdasarkan hasil analisis peneltiian ini memiliki keterhubungan yang terkait antara bagaimana teknologi sebagai kontekstual dari keterlibatan kognitif, pembelajaran berbasis learning context dan relevansi untuk berpikir kritis. Lebih lanjut, analisis kebutuhan ini memerlukan pola bagaimana perilaku siswa dapat teramati lebih spesifik agar meningkatkan pemenuhan belajar dalam blended learning.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru-guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran Chatbot. Mitra dalam PkM ini adalah SDN 011 Samarinda Kota. Pelatihan dilakukan selama tiga hari dimulai pada tanggal 13-15 September 2023.Tim pengabdian terdiri dari dua dosen dan enam mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu pendidikan, mendampingi sebanyak 33 guru SDN 011 Samarinda Kota. Kegiatan terbagi menjadi tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan, tim berkomunikasi dengan sekolah mitra, menentukan kebutuhan, dan menerima daftar peserta. Pelaksanaan kegiatan melibatkan penyampaian materi oleh dua dosen, praktik, dan pendampingan desain media pembelajaran menggunakan chatbot. Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap hasil chatbot yang dibuat peserta dan melibatkan tanggapan dari peserta melalui kuesioner setelah pelatihan berakhir. Didapatkan hasil bahwa 84.8% peserta telah mampu membuat media pembelajaran chatbot berdasarkan materi pelatihan yang disiapkan oleh tim pengabdian. Hasil pengisian kuesioner dari peserta menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan berada pada rata-rata persentase 95.17 %.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta mampu membuat chatbot dan merasa sangat puas dengan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media berbasis chatbot.

Abstract

Utilizing cultivated land as an extracurricular program in schools is an initiative that is relevant to sustainable development goals. This research aims to explore and evaluate the positive impact of implementing the program on aspects of sustainable development. The research method involves main activities and data analysis to understand the impact and obtain the perspectives of the participants and relevant stakeholders. The implementation of this extracurricular program also brings social benefits, such as increasing collaboration between students, forming a responsible attitude towards the environment, and increasing awareness of sustainable development. In addition, involving students in agricultural activities can be a means of developing character and leadership. This research also identified several challenges, such as a lack of resources and support, as well as the need for program integration with the formal curriculum to ensure sustainability and sustainability of learning. Thus, the use of cultivated land as an extracurricular program in schools can be an effective strategy for achieving sustainable development goals, especially in the aspects of environmental education, agricultural skills, and developing social attitudes. Joint efforts are needed from the school, government, and community to ensure the sustainability and success of this program in the long term.

Abstract

Creative thinking ability is one of the High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). This ability is an important part of developing learning in the 21st century based on technological advances, especially communication and information technology. IPAS is one of the new subjects contained in the Merdeka curriculum, providing teachers with the opportunity to develop teaching materials to answer the challenges of changing the 21st century learning mindset. One of the teaching materials developed is Discovery Learning-based LKPD which aims to improve students' creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of developing Discovery Learning-based LKPD IPAS. The development model used is a modified 4D model, while the research subjects are fourth grade students of SDN 02 Tambahrejo Pringsewu. From the results of the validity and effectiveness tests conducted, it was found that the Discovery Learning-based IPAS LKPD was valid and effective for use in improving students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a higher level thinking ability. In reality, students still have difficulty thinking critically when learning science. An effort is needed to improve critical thinking skills. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of LKPD based on the Discovery Learning learning model in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental. This research involved 84 elementary school students in class V. The research sample consisted of 68 students. Data collection in this research was obtained from a learning outcomes test in the form of 12 essay questions. Data obtained was tested for normality and homogeneity and then analyzed using the t-test. In the experimental class the highest score was 85, the lowest score was 40, the average was 70.36, with a standard deviation of 9.36. In the control class the highest score was 48.7, the lowest score was 5, the average was 20.2, with a standard deviation of 8.94. In the process, students in the experimental class showed better critical thinking skills than control class students. From the results of this research it can be seen that the value of t_count = 41.12 > table = 1.668, so the hypothesis or H1 is accepted, thus the use of LKPD based on the Discovery Learning learning model has an effect on critical thinking skills in elementary school students.
