Abstract

This research aims to develop student worksheets (LKPD) based on discovery learning in learning rain cycle material and measuring students' high order thinking skills. The discovery learning method allows students to actively explore concepts and connect information from various sources, so it is hoped that they can improve their critical thinking skills. The LKPD developed will include exploration, observation and reflection activities that will enable students to identify rain cycles. In addition, the HOTS measurement instrument will be used by students before and after using the LKPD. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the development of more effective science learning and increase student HOTS. By understanding how discovery learning can influence HOTS abilities, educators can design learning strategies that are better and relevant to students' needs

Abstract

The use of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Discovery Learning is an interesting approach in an effort to increase students' scientific literacy. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of Discovery Learning-based LKPD in increasing students' scientific literacy. This research uses the ADDIE research model with research subjects totaling 30 students in class IV UPTD SDN 23 Negeri Katon. This development research has produced Student Worksheets (LKPD) which have been tested through validation and evaluation, and declared "Very Valid" and "Very Appropriate" for use. The LKPD that has been created has gone through a process that is in accordance with the recommendations and benefits according to experts. The research results show that the use of Discovery Learning-based LKPD significantly increases students' understanding of science concepts compared to conventional learning methods. The implication of this research is the importance of integrating Discovery Learning-based LKPD in science learning to increase students' scientific literacy at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Primary education plays an important role in shaping the foundation of students' knowledge, especially in Natural and Social Sciences (NSP) subjects in grade 4. Choosing grade 4 as the focus of learning is very strategic because at this age, children are in a critical stage of cognitive development where they begin to be able to think logically and understand more abstract concepts. LKPD is a learning tool designed to provide guidance and steps to students in the form of worksheets that contain instructions, steps, and tasks to be completed. LKPD serves as a medium that helps students organize and internalize learning material more effectively, as well as develop analytical thinking skills and problem solving through hands-on and exploratory activities. The photosynthesis material in the 4th grade Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject of the Merdeka Curriculum was chosen for research because photosynthesis is a basic concept that is very important for students' understanding of the plant life cycle and the basics of ecosystems. Photosynthesis teaches students about how plants produce food and oxygen, which are essential for the life of all living things. A solid understanding of the photosynthesis process can help students appreciate the importance of protecting the environment and increase their awareness of environmental issues. In addition, it lays the foundation for more complex science lessons later in their education. Conventional learning methods are often unable to optimally motivate students, resulting in low learning outcomes. To overcome this problem, the development of Discovery Learning-based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) is an alternative solution. This study aims to determine the initial picture of student learning outcomes using LKPD. The method used is descriptive research. Data collection was carried out using a test instrument. The results of the study were an average of 55. This result shows that the average value of students does not yet have a basic understanding of the concept of photosynthesis. The follow-up of the results of this study is the need to develop Discovery Learning-based LKPD.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Discovery Learning-based worksheets to improve students' learning outcomes on Plant Body Parts material in elementary schools. The research subjects were 23 fourth grade students at SDN 3 Kemiling Permai. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE method. The instruments used in this research are validation sheets, learner response questionnaires, and educator response questionnaires. research data in the form of questionnaire results, worksheet feasibility, results of learner and teacher responses which are analysed descriptively qualitatively based on criteria scores. The results showed that Discovery Learning-based worksheets can improve student learning outcomes with an N-Gain of 0.60. Thus it can be concluded that Discovery Learning-based worksheets can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students on the material of Plant Body Parts.

Abstract

This research aims to develop LKPD Inquiry Learning-Based Science to Improve Critical Thinking Abilities of Elementary School Students which is valid and practical. The instruments in this research consisted of a validation questionnaire sheet and a student response questionnaire sheet. This research refers to the Borg & Gall development model up to the seventh stage which consists of: (1) research and data collection, (2) planning, (3) development of initial product drafts, (4) initial field trials, (5) revision of results trials, (6) main product field tests, (7) product revisions. The research results show that the development of inquiry learning-based worksheets with an average score from validators of 92.8% is in the valid category, the results of student response questionnaires in practicality trials at SDN 5 Jatimulyo with a percentage of 88% (very practical), the product effectiveness test results obtained an N-Gain test result of 0.72 which was categorized as high. Based on research results, the development of Inquiry Learning-Based Science Student Worksheets on Sound Material and Its Properties is suitable for use in the learning process in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to implement questions through problem stimuli regarding hydro static pressure based on inquiry investigations. This research is limited to conducting experiments because the focus of the study is analyzing the cognitive abilities of the questions tested on 106 junior high school students. This study uses a quantitative exploratory method that aims to improve the understanding that students go through for their initial inquiry and perspective abilities during the science learning process. Data collection was carried out using a test instrument in the form of description questions whose inquiry indicators had been developed referring to the National Research Council (NRC) indicators, plus a questionnaire to identify students’ perceptions as a secondary data source. The results showed that all stages of inquiry activities had a low percentage of 50.0%. The involvement of students has yet to be able to ask investigative questions in formulating problems to be a significant start, as well as predicting in hypothesising. So it affects the activities of designing experiments and analysing data. This causes scientific reasoning to be challenging to communicate. In comparison, student interest in science learning is only around 51.2%. This proves that the inquiry process aspects are tied to one another, and the role of students must be maximally fully involved in every stage. Teacher and technology support needs to be harmonised to optimise further research.

Abstract

This research aims to elucidate the evolution of fairness character among students in Central Java and Lampung, while also investigating the impact of the environment on this developmental process. Employing a quantitative descriptive method and ANACOVA test, the researchers examine how the environment (domicile) influences the development of students' fairness character. The data collection encompasses various aspects of fairness character development, as defined by experts, including 1) utilization aspects; 2) appreciation aspect; 3) obedience; and 4) open attitude. The instrument used for assessing fairness character development in students underwent prior testing by experts to ensure alignment with the research subjects' characteristics. The study includes 553 students from Central Java province and 576 students from Lampung province. The research unfolds through stages involving instrument distribution, data collection, and subsequent analysis and interpretation. Results reveal a robust commitment in both Central Java and Lampung to character education, particularly emphasizing fairness. The majority of students demonstrate positive fairness character development. Notably, students in Central Java exhibit stronger characteristics in transparency (open thinking), whereas students in Lampung excel in the attitude aspect aligned with social roles. The development of fairness is intricately linked to the norms and customs prevalent in students' living environments. This underscores the significance of understanding local norms and customs, offering valuable insights for educators. Such insights contribute significantly to fostering fairness character development among students in Central Java and Lampung.

Abstract

Di era Society 5.0, kemampuan berpikir sistem (ST) sangat penting untuk memecahkan masalah kompleks. Namun, metode pembelajaran berpusat guru di SD Indonesia menghambat pengembangan ST, dengan minimnya penggunaan media interaktif berbasis STEM. Mengembangkan dan menguji media pembelajaran STEM-PBL interaktif berbantuan Articulate Storyline 3 untuk meningkatkan ST siswa kelas V. Dengan desain mixed-method sequential embedded, penelitian melibatkan 40 siswa SD Negeri 2 Merak Belantung. Data dikumpulkan melalui validasi ahli, angket kepraktisan, dan analisis ANCOVA. Media dinyatakan sangat layak (83,82% materi, 92,70% media, 90% bahasa) dan praktis (89,96% persetujuan siswa). ANCOVA membuktikan efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan ST (p = 0,00), dengan peningkatan rata-rata 66% pada indikator ST. Studi ini menyediakan model replikabel untuk integrasi teknologi dan pedagogi student-centric, mendukung inovasi kurikulum di pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

The research objective explained the process of the invention taught himself emphasized in an inquiry, recommended for students with the issues that will be analyzed further, the real action is done through a plan experiments, organizing tangible evidence until the decision with logical thinking, systematic, and critical. The entire process of inquiry that is applied in schools. According to the observer perspective in science, who adopted the role to be students understand that berprofesional in the development of scientific activities. It was based on the belief of scientific attitude as science scientist analyzing a problem with an air of confidence to dare argue, and respect the conclusions obtained using inkuri models. Researchers emphasize issues open inquiry learning usage perspective and guided inquiry that teachers against students in a class, starting with step presentation of the material until the difference between the two. The viewpoint of this research method presented by descriptive qualitative data, this method describe, explain and interpret what the object is. The data collection according to some theories of experts on the implementation of inquiry model and reality on the ground about how teachers apply it with a good inquiry. Based on the findings, it is known relationships inquiry learning implementation positively responded to the understanding of the ability of students, especially in science learning.Tujuan penelitian menerangkan proses penemuan belajar sendiri yang ditekankan dalam inkuiri, di anjurkan untuk siswa mengenal masalah yang akan di analisa lebih lanjut, tindakan nyata dilakukan melalui rencana eksperimen, melakukan pengorganisasian bukti nyata sampai kepada pengambilan keputusan dengan pemikiran yang logis, sistematis, dan kritis. Keseluruhan proses inkuiri yang diterapkan di sekolah. Menurut sudut pandang peneliti dalam ilmu sains, yang mengadopsi peranan yang harus siswa pahami yakni berprofesional dalam pengembangan kegiatan ilmiah. Hal tersebut dilandasi pada keyakinan sikap ilmiah seperti ilmuan sains menganalisa suatu permasalahan dengan sikap percaya diri dengan berani berpendapat, dan saling menghargai atas kesimpulan yang diperoleh menggunakan model inkuri. Peneliti menitikberatkan permasalahan perspektif penggunaan pembelajaran inkuiri terbuka dan inkuiri terbimbing yang dilakukan guru terhadap siswa di suatu kelas, mulai dengan langkah penyajian materi sampai kepada perbedaan antar keduanya. Sudut pandang metode penelitian ini deskriptif yang tersaji secara data kualitatif, metode ini menggambarkan, menjelaskan serta menginterpretasikan objek apa adanya. Pengumpulan data menurut beberapa teori ahli mengenai implementasi model inkuiri dan kenyataan di lapangan tentang bagaimana guru mengaplikasikan inkuiri tersebut dengan baik. Berdasarkan penemuan, diketahui hubungan implementasi pembelajaran inkuiri ditanggapi positif terhadap pemahaman kemampuan siswa khususnya dalam pembelajaran sains. Kata kunci: inkuiri terbuka, inkuiri terbimbng, sikap ilmiah, pembelajaran sains

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan hubungan peta konsep terhadap pemahaman pembelajaran konsep dasar IPA untuk mengungkap bagaimana kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru SD dalam memahami konsep dasar IPA. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa calon guru SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dikumpulkan menggunakan hasil tugas peta konsep dalam materi sistem gerak untuk mengetahui hubungan pemahaman materi konsep dasar IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan peta konsep terhadap pemahaman pembelajaran konsep dasar IPA berada pada kriteria masih baik dilaksanakan sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep dasar IPA yang ditinjau dari tugas mahasiswa calon guru SD dengan menggunakan aplikasi peta konsep berbentuk map tools menunjukkan adanya gambaran dengan rata-rata nilai persentase sebesar 71,23% (kategori baik) telah memenuhi pencapaian dalam implementasi pendekatan saintifik. Mahasiswa calon guru SD menanggapai positif terhadap implementasi hubungan peta konsep terhadap pemahaman pembelajaran konsep dasar IPA. Kata kunci: Konsep dasar IPA, pembelajaran, pengetahuan, peta konsep.
