Abstract

In this study, an IoT-integrated Home Energy Management System (HEMS) was developed using solar panels as the primary energy source. The system employs an ESP32 microcontroller as the core controller, equipped with DHT22, LDR, and INA219 sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, light intensity, voltage, and current. Real-time sensor data is presented on a web interface, allowing users to monitor system status and control devices like fans and lights either manually or automatically. The system demonstrated stable performance with a control response time of under one second and effective energy management aligned with environmental conditions. However, a key limitation was the limited capacity of the 10 Wp solar panel, particularly during low sunlight periods. To address this, enhancements such as improved load management or increased solar panel capacity are recommended. The system successfully implemented real-time monitoring and automated control, activating the fan at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius and turning on lights when light intensity is below 1000 lux. This research highlights the potential of IoT technology in achieving efficient and sustainable home energy management.

Abstract

In this study, we propose a novel RFID-based smart lock system integrated with real-time attendance tracking to enhance academic security. Traditional security methods such as mechanical locks and manual attendance systems are prone to various limitations, including lost keys, falsification, and lack of automatic tracking. Our system utilizes E-KTP cards as RFID identification tools, supported by Internet of Things (IoT) technology, to provide automated door access and efficient attendance monitoring. The implementation results demonstrate a high accuracy rate of 99.5% in reading E-KTP cards, with an average response time of 850 Ms and a 99.5% uptime during a 30-day testing period. The system can handle up to 40 access requests per minute during peak hours. Additionally, it reduces access time by 91%, lowers errors from 5% to 0.2%, cuts operational costs by 60%, and decreases maintenance time by 75%. Security is reinforced through dual encryption using the Vigenère and Bcrypt algorithms, ensuring no security breaches over six months. The dashboard provides real-time monitoring, and the automated attendance system reduces human error, integrating seamlessly with academic databases for user verification and schedule management. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of RFID and IoT technologies in modernizing and securing academic environments.

Abstract

The current fish resources are abundant, and the discovery of new species has increased the variety of fish in the ocean. These fish are categorized into three groups: demersal, pelagic, and reef fish, each with unique characteristics of their respective groups. The manual classification process for large datasets requires a long time and involves complex procedures. With the advent of data and information technology, it is now possible to recognize and identify several fish species found in the ocean, which can be classified into the three groups. To simplify this classification process, a web-based system has been developed to classify fish into these groups. The data to be processed in this research will be classified using the Naive Bayes method to address this issue. This technique utilizes large datasets to extract information that was previously unknown or inaccessible, and it can provide accurate information for various purposes. The data for this study will be collected from various internet references and direct data obtained from fish landing sites (TPI) in Lhokseumawe and North Aceh. Additionally, a literature review method will be used to complement the data analysis process. The development of the web-based system will be implemented to facilitate the classification of fish species based on the existing data.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by Google Lens on improving students' mathematical connections. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design involving high school/vocational high school students in Lhokseumawe City. The sample consisted of an experimental group using Google Lens and a control group using conventional learning. The results showed a significant increase in mathematical connection skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. Students' perceptions of the use of Google Lens were also positive, with indicators of increased learning motivation and engagement. These findings provide implications for the implementation of technology in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Amonia adalah senyawa kimia dengan rumus NH3 Senyawa ini didapati berupa gas dengan bau tajam yang sangat khas, inilah yang disebut dengan bau amonia. Amonia memiliki sumbangan penting bagi keberadaan nutrisi di bumi, tetapi amonia sendiri adalah senyawa yang dapat merusak kesehatan. Jika terjadi kontak dengan gas amonia berkonsentrasi tinggi dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada paru-paru bahkan sampai kematian. Amonia digolongkan sebagai bahan beracun jika terhirup langsung, pengangkutan amonia yang berjumlah lebih besar dari 3.500 galon (13,248 L) harus disertai dengan surat izin. Amonia umumnya bersifat basa (pKb=4.75), tetapi dapat juga bersifat sebagai asam yang amat lemah (pKa=9.25), amonia dapat terbentuk secara alami maupun sintetis. Amonia yang berada di alam merupakan hasil dekomposisi bahan organik. Di industri banyak yang menggunakan amonia sebagai salah satu bahan baku, contohnya seperti dalam penggunaan campuran bahan baku pembuatan pupuk. Gas amonia terkadang beresiko terjadi kebocoran pada pipa gas, jika terjadi kebocoran pada pipa maka dibutuhkan teknisi yang harus segera dikirimkan ke lokasi untuk mencari sumber kebocoran atau titik kebocoran pada pipa. Hal itu membuat teknisi membutuhkan tabung oksigen dan hal ini beresiko sangat tinggi dikarenakan daya tahan tabung oksigen hanya bertahan selama ±15 menit. Maka dibuatkanlah robot untuk dikirimkan ke lokasi yang berfungsi agar mengetahui informasi tentang lokasi kebocoran pipa gas dan informasi kadar gas langsung dapat diketahui melalui Android. Dalam kasus ini, rancang bangun robot menggunakan sensor MQ135. Oleh karena itu dibuatkanlah robot pendeteksi kebocoran gas dan mengetahui kadar dari gas amonia agar mempermudah teknisi dalam menemukan lokasi dan kadar gas amonia.

Abstract

Traffic accidents represent a critical issue that significantly affects public safety and generates substantial social and economic impacts, particularly within the operational area of PT. Jasa Raharja Lhokseumawe Branch. The lack of predictive information regarding accident occurrences often results in reactive policy making. This study aims to develop a machine learning–based forecasting model for traffic accident rates using a combination of K-Means Clustering and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). The dataset consists of historical traffic accident records from 2022 to 2024, which were preprocessed and aggregated on a weekly basis at the district level. K-Means Clustering was employed to group districts according to weekly accident patterns, resulting in two optimal clusters based on silhouette score evaluation. Subsequently, separate RNN models were developed for each cluster to forecast weekly accident occurrences. Model performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). The results indicate that the RNN model achieved higher prediction accuracy for clusters with more stable accident patterns compared to clusters exhibiting higher fluctuation. Overall, the proposed combination of clustering and RNN demonstrates strong potential in producing accurate traffic accident forecasts

Abstract

Peningkatan minat masyarakat terhadap hafalan Qur’an, telah memunculkan ide-ide baru terutama dalam membantu masyarakat meningkatkan hafalannya dalam waktu yang singkat. Salah satu pendekatan alternatif tersebut adalah pemanfaatan teknologi yang tepat dan akurat dalam mengevaluasi setiap hafalan dari peserta hafalan Qur’an. Konsep sistem yang dibagun hanya berperan sebagai pengujian hafalan awal, sebelum para peserta menampilkan hafalannya di hadapan para guru. Sistem dibangun dengan seramah mungkin agar masyarakat awam mampu dan mudah menggunakannya, Setelah dilakukan pengujian sistem terhadap para peserta hafalan, diperoleh adanya peningkatan minat dan percepatan masyarakat peserta penghafal Qur’an dalam menyelsaikan hafalannya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata 50% dari total peserta berhasil menyelesaikan hafalan dan dianggap layak oleh sistem setelah pengujian pertama, dan 50% sisa peserta berhasil menyelesaikan hafalannya dan telah dianggap layak oleh sistem setelah pengujian kedua. Abstract

Peningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap ilmu agama beriringan bersamaan dengan meluasnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam segala sektor kehidupan, telah memunculkan ide-ide baru terutama dalam membantu masyarakat meningkatkan penguasaannya akan ilmu. Pengabdian ini diajukan dengan mengkombinasikan kedua keadaan di atas. Pengabdian pengajian ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi multimedia ditujukan kepada masyarakat di seputaran kota Lhokseumawe. Media dibangun dengan seramah mungkin agar masyarakat awam mampu dan mudah menggunakannya, Setelah dilakukan evaluasi terhadap para peserta, diperoleh adanya peningkatan minat dan percepatan masyarakat peserta dalam pembelajaran ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 40% (A1) dan 50% (A2) dari total peserta berhasil menyelesaikan praktek ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ dan dianggap layak, selanjutnya 40% (A1) dan 40% (A2) peserta berhasil menyelesaikan praktek ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ dan telah dianggap layak setelah pengujian kedua dan 20% (A1) dan 10% (A2) sisanya setelah pengujian ketiga. Abstract

The quality of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is highly dependent on the accuracy of sorting the ripeness level of oil palm Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). Manual sorting processes currently used in factories are vulnerable to human error and subjectivity. This study aims to automate the objectivity of the sorting process using a deep learning model based on the ResNet-50 architecture with a transfer learning approach to classify FFB into three categories: Unripe, Ripe, and Overripe. The computational model was integrated into a web-based application using the Flask framework to support wireless operational use in factories. Experimental results showed a validation accuracy of 90.94% and an F1-score of 91%. Direct field validation using 42 primary data samples achieved a classification success rate of 83.33%. The implementation of a 75% confidence threshold proved effective in preventing prediction errors (zero misclassification), while the Cohen’s Kappa reliability test achieved a score of 0.769, indicating Substantial Agreement with expert evaluators. In conclusion, the ResNet-50-based system demonstrated reliable and objective performance and is considered ready for replication to maintain quality consistency in the palm oil processing industry.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran atlet futsal terhadap bahaya judi online, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda yang rentan terhadap pengaruh perkembangan teknologi digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam rangkaian silaturahmi Ramadhan atlet futsal Pora Lhokseumawe pada tanggal 16 Maret 2026 di Lhokseumawe. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan sesi tanya jawab. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 40 orang yang terdiri atas atlet futsal, pengurus organisasi, pelatih, serta tokoh pemuda setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai bentuk, dampak, serta risiko hukum dari praktik judi online. Tingkat antusiasme peserta yang tinggi tercermin dari keterlibatan aktif dalam diskusi, yang mengindikasikan bahwa materi yang disampaikan relevan dengan kondisi yang mereka hadapi. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis dan sikap preventif terhadap praktik judi online. Peserta juga diharapkan mampu berperan sebagai agen perubahan dalam menyebarkan informasi serta membangun kesadaran di lingkungan sekitarnya. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam upaya pencegahan judi online di kalangan generasi muda melalui pendekatan edukatif yang partisipatif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kegiatan lanjutan yang lebih sistematis dan berkelanjutan guna memperluas dampak serta meningkatkan efektivitas program pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
