Abstract

Traffic accidents represent a critical issue that significantly affects public safety and generates substantial social and economic impacts, particularly within the operational area of PT. Jasa Raharja Lhokseumawe Branch. The lack of predictive information regarding accident occurrences often results in reactive policy making. This study aims to develop a machine learning–based forecasting model for traffic accident rates using a combination of K-Means Clustering and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). The dataset consists of historical traffic accident records from 2022 to 2024, which were preprocessed and aggregated on a weekly basis at the district level. K-Means Clustering was employed to group districts according to weekly accident patterns, resulting in two optimal clusters based on silhouette score evaluation. Subsequently, separate RNN models were developed for each cluster to forecast weekly accident occurrences. Model performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). The results indicate that the RNN model achieved higher prediction accuracy for clusters with more stable accident patterns compared to clusters exhibiting higher fluctuation. Overall, the proposed combination of clustering and RNN demonstrates strong potential in producing accurate traffic accident forecasts

Abstract

Peningkatan minat masyarakat terhadap hafalan Qur’an, telah memunculkan ide-ide baru terutama dalam membantu masyarakat meningkatkan hafalannya dalam waktu yang singkat. Salah satu pendekatan alternatif tersebut adalah pemanfaatan teknologi yang tepat dan akurat dalam mengevaluasi setiap hafalan dari peserta hafalan Qur’an. Konsep sistem yang dibagun hanya berperan sebagai pengujian hafalan awal, sebelum para peserta menampilkan hafalannya di hadapan para guru. Sistem dibangun dengan seramah mungkin agar masyarakat awam mampu dan mudah menggunakannya, Setelah dilakukan pengujian sistem terhadap para peserta hafalan, diperoleh adanya peningkatan minat dan percepatan masyarakat peserta penghafal Qur’an dalam menyelsaikan hafalannya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata 50% dari total peserta berhasil menyelesaikan hafalan dan dianggap layak oleh sistem setelah pengujian pertama, dan 50% sisa peserta berhasil menyelesaikan hafalannya dan telah dianggap layak oleh sistem setelah pengujian kedua. Abstract

Peningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap ilmu agama beriringan bersamaan dengan meluasnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam segala sektor kehidupan, telah memunculkan ide-ide baru terutama dalam membantu masyarakat meningkatkan penguasaannya akan ilmu. Pengabdian ini diajukan dengan mengkombinasikan kedua keadaan di atas. Pengabdian pengajian ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi multimedia ditujukan kepada masyarakat di seputaran kota Lhokseumawe. Media dibangun dengan seramah mungkin agar masyarakat awam mampu dan mudah menggunakannya, Setelah dilakukan evaluasi terhadap para peserta, diperoleh adanya peningkatan minat dan percepatan masyarakat peserta dalam pembelajaran ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 40% (A1) dan 50% (A2) dari total peserta berhasil menyelesaikan praktek ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ dan dianggap layak, selanjutnya 40% (A1) dan 40% (A2) peserta berhasil menyelesaikan praktek ilmu farāiḍ atau ilmu mawāriṡ dan telah dianggap layak setelah pengujian kedua dan 20% (A1) dan 10% (A2) sisanya setelah pengujian ketiga. Abstract

The quality of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is highly dependent on the accuracy of sorting the ripeness level of oil palm Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). Manual sorting processes currently used in factories are vulnerable to human error and subjectivity. This study aims to automate the objectivity of the sorting process using a deep learning model based on the ResNet-50 architecture with a transfer learning approach to classify FFB into three categories: Unripe, Ripe, and Overripe. The computational model was integrated into a web-based application using the Flask framework to support wireless operational use in factories. Experimental results showed a validation accuracy of 90.94% and an F1-score of 91%. Direct field validation using 42 primary data samples achieved a classification success rate of 83.33%. The implementation of a 75% confidence threshold proved effective in preventing prediction errors (zero misclassification), while the Cohen’s Kappa reliability test achieved a score of 0.769, indicating Substantial Agreement with expert evaluators. In conclusion, the ResNet-50-based system demonstrated reliable and objective performance and is considered ready for replication to maintain quality consistency in the palm oil processing industry.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran atlet futsal terhadap bahaya judi online, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda yang rentan terhadap pengaruh perkembangan teknologi digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam rangkaian silaturahmi Ramadhan atlet futsal Pora Lhokseumawe pada tanggal 16 Maret 2026 di Lhokseumawe. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan sesi tanya jawab. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 40 orang yang terdiri atas atlet futsal, pengurus organisasi, pelatih, serta tokoh pemuda setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai bentuk, dampak, serta risiko hukum dari praktik judi online. Tingkat antusiasme peserta yang tinggi tercermin dari keterlibatan aktif dalam diskusi, yang mengindikasikan bahwa materi yang disampaikan relevan dengan kondisi yang mereka hadapi. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis dan sikap preventif terhadap praktik judi online. Peserta juga diharapkan mampu berperan sebagai agen perubahan dalam menyebarkan informasi serta membangun kesadaran di lingkungan sekitarnya. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam upaya pencegahan judi online di kalangan generasi muda melalui pendekatan edukatif yang partisipatif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kegiatan lanjutan yang lebih sistematis dan berkelanjutan guna memperluas dampak serta meningkatkan efektivitas program pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has led to the exponential growth of data generated from various sectors, such as healthcare services, social media, information systems, and other digital activities. This condition has given rise to the concept of big data, which cannot be optimally processed using conventional data processing technologies. Therefore, distributed computing platforms are required to efficiently handle large-scale data storage and processing. Apache Hadoop is one of the widely used big data technologies due to its distributed architecture that supports scalability, parallel processing, and fault tolerance. This study aims to analyze the architecture of Apache Hadoop and explain the role of each of its components in supporting large-scale data processing. The research method employed is a qualitative literature study, conducted through the review of books, scientific articles, and related publications on Hadoop. The results indicate that Hadoop consists of three main components: the Hadoop Distributed File System as a distributed storage system, MapReduce as a programming model for parallel data processing, and Yet Another Resource Negotiator, which functions in cluster resource management and scheduling. The integration of these components enables Hadoop to manage large-scale data in a reliable and distributed manner. However, Hadoop has limitations related to its batch-based processing model, which is less suitable for real-time processing needs, thus requiring consideration of complementary technologies according to application requirements.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the usability level of the Boardify website as a student research collaboration platform. This study uses the A/B Testing method by comparing the Boardify and Trello platforms. A total of 55 respondents participated in each platform and were asked to fill out a questionnaire consisting of 25 identical questions. Additionally, technical performance testing of the Boardify website was conducted using the GTmetrix tool. The results of the study indicate that Boardify achieved an average usability score of 99.18, indicating that the platform is highly user-friendly and aligns with user needs in the context of final project submissions. In terms of performance, GTmetrix test results showed that Boardify received a Grade B with a Performance score of 86% and a Structure score of 90%. The use of A/B Testing provided an objective overview of the user experience when compared to similar platforms. Thus, Boardify can be deemed suitable and effective for use as a collaboration platform in student research.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement an automated greenhouse system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor and analyze environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light intensity. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a DHT22 sensor, soil moisture sensor, and LDR light sensor. Sensor data is transmitted in real time to the Blynk application, enabling users to monitor and control the system remotely via smartphone. The system uses a rule-based approach, such as activating a fan when the temperature exceeds 32°C, activating a water pump when soil moisture is below 30%, and turning on lights when light intensity is low. The experiment was conducted using a laboratory-scale prototype with kangkung plants. The system demonstrated its ability to provide timely and accurate environmental updates, enhancing greenhouse management efficiency. This system shows potential to support optimal plant growth while conserving energy.

Abstract

Digital data collection in psychological contexts requires systems that are not only efficient but also secure and context-aware. This study develops an Android-based survey application with layered security by integrating GPS-based location validation and AES-128 encryption. The system restricts access to predefined geographic areas, and all user data is encrypted exclusively on the server side (Laravel backend) to ensure confidentiality and integrity. Indoor testing of location validation showed high accuracy with a 50-meter tolerance and an average response time of 50 ms. Encryption was performed in 40–110 ms for data up to 19.7 KB. Communication between the mobile app and the server uses a REST API secured with HTTPS. The application was developed using the Waterfall model, which fits the structured and pre-defined system requirements. This study’s novelty lies in combining real-time location validation and server-side encryption in a single system—an approach often handled separately in prior research. Black-box testing confirmed that the system performs securely and reliably without burdening the device. This solution is suitable for mobile-based psychological assessments in controlled environments such as schools and is adaptable for other services requiring simultaneous data protection and location verification.

Abstract

Communication is a way for humans to convey information, ideas, thoughts, feelings, or massages verbally or nonverbally. People with hearing impairments use expressions and symbols due to hearing limitations, the term tuna means less and rungu means hearing. To bridge communication, sign language translation through the development of systems such as text-to-speech can help improve accessibility between people with hearing impairments and spoken language users in various contexts of everyday life. The Indonesian Sign Language (SIBI) translation system in this study was built the waterfall research method in which each process will be carried out in stages and sequentially, starting from problem analysis and creating a conceptual system in order to strengthen the theorectical foundation and answer the formulation of the problems raised, this study uses the Keras deep learning model and the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) approach. The test results show that the system is able to classify hand gestures and convert them into text and voice, in addition to the average respone time of less than one second, which is around 104 miliseconds per step. This shows that the system can operate in real-time with a fast and consistent response. Video transcription and voice synthesis for an Indonesian sign language translation system using the Python programming language were successfully implemented, supported by various libraries such as OpenCV, CVZone, and GTTS (Google Text-To-Speech). Testing results on 15 movement classes with 150 trials showed an average movement classification accuracy of 87%. Further research is recommended to increase the number of subjects and dataset diversity to improve the model’s generalizability.
