Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior in SMA Citra Harapan Percut Sei Tuan students. The research hypothesis is that there is a relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior of SMA Citra Harapan Percut Sei Tuan students. The research sample amounted to 60 students of SMA Citra Harapan Percut Sei Tuan, taken using the Correlation- Product Moment analysis method. There is a positive relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior in SMA students at the Citra Harapan Education Foundation Percut SeiTuan, the higher the self- esteem, the higher the assertive behavior, and vice versa, the lower the self-esteem, the lower the assertive behavior, where, r is 0, 637 with a significance level of 0.000 0.05. That is, the proposed hypothesis is accepted. The determinant coefficient (r^2) of the relationship between the X variable and the Y variable is r^2 = 0.406. This shows that self-esteem contributes to assertive behavior by 40.6%. Based on the comparison between the Hypothetical Mean and the Empirical Mean, namely, that the Empirical Mean of self-esteem (me = 100.27) is above the Hypothetical Mean (me = 80) it can be concluded that based on the Empirical Mean, the subjects of this study have high self-esteem.

Abstract

This research method uses quantitative methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of locus of control and spiritual intelligence on resilience. The population is 205 students with 8 classes and the sample is 92 with random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between locus of control and resilience, there is an influence between locus of control and resilience, where the correlation coefficient tx1y = 2.435 with p = 0.017 means p <0.05. The results of this study prove that locus of control has a significant positive effect between locus of control and resilience, where the coefficient tx1y = 2.435 with p = 0.017, this means that the better the locus of control, the better resilience. The coefficient of r squared locus of control with the dependent variable of resilience is r2 = 0.094. This shows that resilience is formed by the locus of control with a contribution of 9.40%. In the spiritual intelligence variable with resilience there is also a significant positive effect between spiritual intelligence and resilience, where the coefficient tx2y = 3.840 with p = 0.000, this means that the better the spiritual intelligence, the better the resilience. The r-squared coefficient of spiritual intelligence with the dependent variable of resilience is r2 = 0.179. This indicates that resilience is formed by spiritual intelligence with a contribution of 17.90%. Similar results come from the interaction effect, there is a significant effect between locus of control, spiritual intelligence and resilience, where the coefficient F = 16,738; with p = 0.000 means p < 0.050. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the influence between predictors of locus of control, spiritual intelligence with the dependent variable resilience is r2 = 0.273. This shows that resilience is formed by locus of control and spiritual intelligence together with a contribution of 27.30%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning style and parental support with interest in learning in adolescents. Using quantitative methods with a survey approach. A sample of 169 people from 312 populations with simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it is known that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and interest in learning seen from the coefficient value (R2) = 0.039 with p = 0.010 <0.050. Furthermore, there is a positive and significant relationship between parental support and interest in learning seen from the coefficient value (R2) = 0.087 with p = <0.001 <0.050, then it is known that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and parental support with learning interest seen from the value of the coefficient (R2) = 0.100 with p = <0.001 <0.050.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between self-motivation and procrastination, permissive parenting with procrastination, self-motivation and permissive parenting with academic procrastination of Pharmacy Study Program students at Sari Mutiara Indonesia University in Medan.The type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Self-motivation is negatively and significantly related to academic procrastination of Pharmacy Study Program students at Sari Mutiara Indonesia University in Medan with a t count > t table (-2.067 > 1.65309) and a significance value of t is smaller than 0.05 (0.040 <0.05); (2) Permissive parenting has a positive and significant relationship with academic procrastination of semester students of Pharmacy Study Program at Sari Mutiara Indonesia University in Medan with a t count > t table (9.571 > 1.65309) and a significance value of t is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0, 05); (3) Self-motivation and permissive parenting have a joint effect on the variable of academic procrastination in students of the Pharmacy Study Program at Sari Mutiara Indonesia University in Medan with a F count > F table (50.867 > 3.04) and a significance value of t is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of psychological well-being on work engagement through mediation of the working environment (studies on soldiers). The research methodology that used in this paper is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), which uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis software with Smart PLS. In the first hypothesis it was found that the effect of psychological well-being of working environment on soldiers with a t-count is about 33.253 > 1.96 and a p-value is 0.000 <0.05. The second hypothesis found that there was an effect of the working environment on work engagement in soldiers, with a t-count is 1.571 <1.96, and a p-value is 0.117 > 0.05. The third hypothesis, found that there is an effect of psychological well-being on work engagement in soldiers, with a t-count of 6.341 > 1.96, and a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. The fourth hypothesis found that there is a mediating role of the working environment in the influence of psychological well-being on work engagement in soldiers, with a direct effect value of PWB on WE is about 0.517 (51.7%) greater than the indirect effect of PWB on WE through LK is 0.110 (11). .0%) is significant at 0.05 (5%). Judging from the existing problems, it is hoped that input and assistance for personnel to develop, conduct work motivation, communicative, or other training that can increase work engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and social support with academic procrastination of BKPI Department Students, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN SU. The sample used in this study was 100 students from the BKPI Department of the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN SU. This study used a quantitative method with the use of the scale method as a data collection tool, namely the self-efficacy scale, social support scale and procrastination scale. The results of this study are (1) the independent variable of this study, namely self-efficacy, has a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely procrastination. This is indicated by a significance level of less than 0.05. (2) the independent variable of this study, namely social support, has a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely procrastination. This is indicated by a significance level of less than 0.05. (3) based on the determination coefficient test, a value of 0.449 or 44.9% is obtained so that it can be explained that the independent variables of selfefficacy and social support have an effect on the dependent variable, namely procrastination of 44.9% and the rest is influenced by other variables that not examined in this study Keywords: Self-Efficacy, Social Support, Academic Procrastination.

Abstract

The paper was conducted to determine whether there is a correlation between authoritative parenting and psychological well-being in Global Prima National Plus Medan high school students. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive correlation between authoritative parenting and psychological wellbeing. The research subject used in this study were 260 students from SMA Global PrimaNational Plus Medan and used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. This research uses quantitative methodes; data was collected using an authoritative parenting scale of 30 items and a psychological well-being scale of 42. The assumption test and linearity rest. The data were examined using the Pearson Prodcut Moment correlation test through the SPSS version 21.0 for the Windows program. The results of data analysis found a positive correlation between authorirative parenting and psychological wll-being in Global Prima National Plus Medan high school students with a Person Product Moment correlation coefficient of 0.466 and sig. worth 0.000(p<0.05). The results showed that the authoritative parenting variable contributed to psychological well-being by 21.4%, and the remaining 78.6% was influenced by other factors not examined. The results of this study concluded that the research hypothesis stating a positive correlation between authoritative parenting and psychological well-being could be accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh self regulated learning dan religiusitas terhadap student engagement di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Muallimin Univa Medan. Student engagement adalah keterlibatan siswa dalam berpartisipasi pada setiap kegiatan rutin maupun program sekolah, baik di dalam dan di luar kelas dengan indikator perilaku, emosional, dan kognitif. Hipotes yang diajukan yaitu ada pengaruh positif antara self regulated learning dan religiusitas terhadap student engagement. Tekni sampling dengan total sampling, sampel berjumlah 189 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala Self Regulated learning, religiusitas, dan skala student engagement. Metode analisis data adalah regresi berganda. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, maka diperoleh hasil determinan (Rxy) = 0,804 dengan p = 0.000 < 0.050, artinya ada pengaruh positif self regulated learning dan religiusitas terhadap student engagement, semakin tinggi self regulated learning dan semakin tinggi religiusitas, maka semakin tinggi student engagement. Sumbangan self regulated dan religiusitas terhadap student engagement sebesar 64,6%. Dengan demikian, masih terdapat 35,4% pengaruh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which multicultural education can stand alone as an independent entity in educational institutions in Tanjung Balai City after the SARA-nuanced conflict.  The results of interviews with teachers and students of SMAN 1 Tanjung Balai revealed that this school tries to integrate multicultural values in the curriculum. However, multicultural education has not been separated as an independent entity. Teachers design the curriculum by emphasizing cultural and religious diversity in learning materials. Students confirm that the concept of diversity is reflected in school learning and activities. This study used a data analysis approach based on the Miles and Huberman framework. The results show that multicultural education in Tanjung Balai focuses on integrating cultural values in learning, but still needs more efforts to realize independent multicultural subjects. Multicultural education has the potential to bridge cultural and religious differences, but it needs professional teacher involvement and appropriate strategies to support the development of religious tolerance among students.
