Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research is motivated by the lack of understanding mathematical concepts class VIII SMPN 1 Kecamatan Pangkalan Koto Baru. Because learning is still centered on the teachers and students still lack understanding of concepts in mathematics . One method used to overcome this problem by applying the technique of cooperative learning model two stay two stray in learning . The aims of this research  is to know the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts with the implementation of cooperative learning model two stay two stray technique better than student’s understanding of the mathematical concepts using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN1 Kecamatan Pangkalan Koto Baru academic year 2013/2014 . This research is an experimental study , with a random design on the subject . The population in this research was students of class VIII SMP SMP 1 Kecamatan Koto Baru academic year 2013/20143 . The samples in this reseacrh is randomly technique . Selected VIII.1 as experimental class and VIII.2 as control class. Instrument in this study is the final test in the form of essays . Data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test and t test . Hypothesis test using t-test of the party with the help of software MINITAB , obtained P -value of 0.003 is less than α = 0.05 , so it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model two stay two stray technique is better than student’s understanding mathematical concepts  with conventional learning in class VIII SMPN1 Kecamatan Pangkalan Koto Baru the level of 95 %.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was based by low students’ comprehension of mathematical concept,  Lack of motivation student in course of learnings, energy natural existense and imagination child still low and also student tardy and difficult in comprehension lesson. Target of research this was to know students’ comprehension of mathematical concept which process studying implementing drill method with approach open ended better than study conventional. This was an experimental research which used random. Hypothesis test used t-test one way with MINITAB software obtained that tvalue= 2,15 and ttable= 1,67 with α = 0,05. Because of  > then H0 was rejected. It can be conclude that students’ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing drill method with approach open ended was better than students’ comprehension concept of mathematical concept by implementing conventional in class VIII SMP PERTI Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman ruang siswa dengan menerapkan strategi Everyone is a Teacher Here lebih baik daripada pemahaman ruang siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN Xkota Padang yang terdiri dari delapan kelas.Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes berbentuk uraian yang telah diujicobakan pada siswa dengan karakteristik yang sama dengan populasi penelitian. Teknik analisis data tes akhir menggunakan uji t satu pihak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman ruang siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika yang menerapkanstrategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) lebih baik daripada pemahaman ruang siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang mengikuti perkuliahan menggunakan strategi reciprocal teaching. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus meliputi perencanaan, implementasi, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa melalui strategi Reciprocal Teaching

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan menerapkan strategi teka-teki silang lebih baik daripada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan rancangan random terhadap subjek. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS salah satu SMA di Sijunjung. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dengan instrumen tes berbentuk uraian. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan menerapkan strategi teka-teki silang lebih baik daripada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan kalkulus 1 mahasiswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran biasa. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Kalkulus 1 semester ganjil 2010/2011. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan posttest only control design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan kalkulus 1. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakanuji  �.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  bahwa  kemampuan  Kalkulus  1  mahasiswa  yang   mengikutipembelajaran model kooperatif tipe TAI lebih tinggi daripada yang mengikuti pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to know whether the math students’ learning outcomes by implementing active learning strategy typed giving question and getting answer are better than the math students’ learning outcomes by implementing conventional learning. The design of this research is experimental research by random design to the subject. The population of the research is the eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Padang in academic year 2017/2018 that consist of three classes. Then, the sampling technique is done randomly. As a result, Class VIII 3 is as experimental class and VIII 2 is as control class. The instrument used in this research is the essay test. The technique of data analysis is using t-test in one class. Based on the result of data analysis can be concluded that the math students’ learning outcomes by implementing active learning strategy typed giving question and getting answer are better than the math students’ learning outcomes by implementing conventional learning.

Abstract

Industrial work practices can form constructive mindsets for students, especially in preparing themselves for the world of work. This study aims to determine the correlation between experiences of industrial work practices with the readiness of students in dealing with the world of work. This research is a correlation study. This research was conducted at the SMKN 6 Padang with 30 students as a subject of class XII TKJ. The instrument used was a questionnaire of work practices experiences and work readiness questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive correlation between the experiences of industrial work practices with the work readiness of students.

Abstract

The aim of this research to know that Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model influence to students understand about mathematical concepts. This research is Pre-Experimental Design with investigaton planning Pre-Test and Post-Test Group. The subjek of research are students of SMPN 2 Pariaman grade VIII.1. Research instrumen is essay test. The data analysis using t-test. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that there is an influence of using Think Pair Share to the understanding of mathematical concepts of class VIII.1 junior high school students

Abstract

The drawing a graph of the equation is positioned by it as the material prerequisites that must be mastered to solve the problems on the subject. However, based on teaching experience for many students who indicated not been able to describe the graph equation graph. The study aims to describe the students' ability to draw graphs of quadratic and line equations,of first-year students who took Calculus subject at Mathematics Department, Padang, Indonesia. The data source was selected purposive and snowball sampling. Sources of data in this study were 70 first year students in Differential Calculus subject class. Research shows that understanding of students to graph a quadratic equation is still very low, they often mixed graphs of quadratic equations and linear equations, and understanding of students to graph line equation is still very low, especially on understanding the line y = k and x = k, k is a number
