Abstract

Health services that focus solely on medical aspects often fail to address patients’ comprehensive needs. Integrating local wisdom and holistic care offers a strategic approach to enhance service quality. Local wisdom reflects community cultural values, while holistic care addresses physical, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. Together, they can strengthen hospital image, increase satisfaction, and build loyalty. PKU Muhammadiyah Karanganyar Hospital, grounded in religious and cultural values, is well-positioned to apply this model. This study analyzes the influence of services based on local wisdom and holistic care on patient loyalty, with hospital image and satisfaction as mediators. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used, involving 205 patients surveyed with closed-ended questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS software. Findings show that services rooted in local wisdom positively influence hospital image, though modestly. Holistic care has a stronger impact on both image and satisfaction. Mediation analysis indicates that hospital image and satisfaction significantly link service provision to loyalty. Hospital image has a moderate effect on loyalty, while satisfaction plays a more direct role. The results suggest that cultivating a strong image and delivering comprehensive care are essential to fostering loyalty. Holistic care emerges as the dominant factor shaping positive perceptions and satisfaction. The study concludes that integrating cultural values with holistic care effectively strengthens patient relationships. Such a strategy should be a cornerstone of hospital service improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on work motivation, employee performance, and business sustainability at Pala Raya Hospital (RSIA Pala Raya) in Tegal Regency, and to examine the mediating role of work motivation and employee performance in this relationship. The background of this study is based on the decline in patient visits and hospital revenue, which raises the need for a sustainability strategy based on internal organizational strengthening. The research method used is a quantitative explanatory approach with a total sampling technique of 200 employee respondents, and data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS through SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that transformational leadership has a significant and positive effect on work motivation and employee performance, and has an impact on the sustainability of the hospital's business. Work motivation has a stronger influence than performance on sustainability. The mediation test shows that work motivation is a significant mediator in the relationship between transformational leadership and business sustainability, while employee performance is not. The study also identified various obstacles in the implementation of transformational leadership, such as lack of training, bureaucratic culture, and a reward system that does not support innovation. These findings emphasize the importance of the role of inspirational and participatory leadership in building motivation and supporting hospital sustainability.

Abstract

Medical practice is a series of activities carried out by doctors and dentists on patients as part of their medical practice. When practicing medicine, a doctor who practices medicine or provides medical services must meet the requirements set by the government. All doctors and dentists who practice medicine must have a Practice License. New doctors can practice if they already have STR and SIP. This research aims to analyze the urgency of IDI's role in providing recommendations for registration of medical practice permits and its legal aspects. This research uses normative research. The results of this research explain that there are differences in SIP registration for doctors, namely: In Law no. 29 of 2004 IDI has a role and authority in providing recommendations. Meanwhile, Law No. 17 of 2023 states that registration of a doctor's SIP no longer requires a doctor's recommendation but only an STR and place of practice. The elimination of IDI's authority as a professional organization for doctors means that IDI loses its role in supervising the development and improvement of the quality of doctors to ensure that doctors who have SIP are doctors who are competent in their field

Abstract

Many moderna vaccine recipients complain about the presence of AEFI (Adverse Events Following Immunization). Based on CDC data, the frequency of AEFI is higher in the 18-64 year age group. Some studies explain that minor AEFI reactions are managed with paracetamol and subside about 1-2 days after administration of the vaccine. This study aims to determine the relationship between age and administration of paracetamol with AEFI reactions after moderna vaccination at Puskesmas Mojosongo Boyolali. This study used an analytic observational survey research with a cross sectional research design which was carried out with quantitative methods. The data source used is primary data with a g-form questionnaire. This research was conducted at Puskesmas Mojosongo Boyolali, Central Java. The sampling technique in this study was non-random sampling with purposive sampling. The number of respondents is 72 people. The results of the logistic regression test of the relationship between age and AEFI reaction obtained the value of Exp(B) or OR=1.118 (p=0.883). Logistic regression test of the relationship between the administration of paracetamol with the AEFI reaction obtained the value of Exp (B) or OR = 1.949 (p = 0.452). The results of multivariate analysis showed that the variables of age and administration of paracetamol did not have a significant relationship with the reaction of AEFI after moderna vaccination.

Abstract

The growing demand for physiotherapy services has challenged work productivity and job satisfaction among physiotherapists in many healthcare facilities. Inadequate financial compensation is a primary source of stress that can affect both job satisfaction and productivity. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation on the work productivity of physiotherapists in Yogyakarta. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 75 physiotherapist respondents in Yogyakarta, selected using total population sampling. The independent variable was compensation, and the dependent variable was work productivity, which was measured using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Simple Linear Regression analysis with SPSS version 27. The results show that compensation has a significant positive effect on work productivity (b = 0.768; t-test = 7.131; p < 0.001) and job satisfaction (b = 0,750; t-test = 5,122; p<0,001) among physiotherapists in Yogyakarta. This indicates that better compensation for physiotherapists in Yogyakarta will improve their work productivity. It is recommended that a policy be established to standardize compensation, making it fairer and more proportional according to physiotherapists workload and qualifications. This policy should institute clear and uniform regulations governing the calculation of salaries and allowances for all physiotherapists, thereby eliminating arbitrariness and ensuring accountability.

Abstract

Abstract

The Surgical Safety Checklist (SSC) is vital for patient safety, yet adherence varies globally. This scoping review synthesizes evidence on SSC compliance and its impact on adverse events. Following PRISMA-ScR guidelines, 30 studies (2020–2025) from Scopus, PubMed, and Springer Nature Link were analyzed. Thematic analysis identified key dimensions including team communication, barriers, and technological innovation. Results consistently show that high adherence defined by active team engagement rather than administrative completion significantly reduces surgical complications and mortality. Conversely, low compliance often stems from ritualization and hierarchical barriers. The review concludes that sustainable safety improvements require shifting from checklist formality to a mature safety culture driven by leadership, contextual adaptation, and interprofessional training.
