Abstract

The synthesis of copper nanoparticles in this study used a reducing agent from the extract of mercurd gum with a solution of CuSO4.5H20. The results of the synthesis of copper nanoparticles using the extract of mercurd gum resulted in the color of the solution becoming clear greenish. The reaction time greatly affects the formation of copper nanoparticles, it can be seen visually that after 5  minutes the reaction shows a color change from clear to clear greenish and a lot of precipitate is formed. As the reaction time increases, the solution gets darker. The color of the copper nanoparticle solution tends to be clear to clear greenish, the clear color will continue to increase with the length of reaction time. In XRD analysis of Cu which has been synthesized from 0.01 M mercury extract solution. It can be seen that Cu nanocrystals have been formed which are indicated by the appearance of peaks at 2q : 18.76˚, 22.24˚, and 23.99, The results of the Scanning Electron Microscopy  analysis, the results of the SEM analysis in the study show that the particle sizes produced are different from one another and the distribution of particles is uneven, there are many particles that accumulate into chunks larger than other particles so that the size is not uniform and to form agglomerations. This is because the particle growth is very fast and UV-vis Confirmation of the formation of nanoparticles can be known through UV-Vis spectrophotometer observations by measuring the absorbance value in time intervals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas XI MIA SMAN 10 Batanghari dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2 dan sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning dan kategori kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif tinggi, namun tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran problem based learning dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada materi larutan penyangga karena model pembelajaran problem based learning dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah berpengaruh terhadap hasil kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa secara mandiri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: Ada pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi larutan penyangga, ada pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada materi larutan penyangga, tidak ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran problem based learning dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Jambi is one of the provinces in Sumatra which has the potential of abundant natural resources. This must be based on the principles of sustainability, harmony, and best use, as well as the utilization of natural resources in the form of land and water as one of the basic assets of national development to achieve economic and ecological balance. Human activities by building buildings or other facilities without taking into account the area of ​​open land have resulted in reduced rainwater catchment areas. Another cause is the disposal of garbage in the flow of water bodies, so that water cannot flow smoothly which in turn results in overflow of water. Rainwater that becomes run off and garbage that is thrown carelessly, is then managed in a way so that it can be beneficial for the environment and humans themselves. Therefore, the idea of ​​making biopore infiltration holes arose where the main ingredient was organic waste. Partner priority problems are frequent flooding during the rainy season; the surrounding community does not have special skills to be able to make biopores as infiltration holes. The activity will be carried out using structured mentoring and training methods for making biopore infiltration holes. It is hoped that from this activity Partners can make biopori, activity videos and media article.

Abstract

The phenolic chemicals found in water extract of Merkubung bark (WEMB) can be employed as corrosion inhibitors. The corrosion inhibition mechanism by WEMB can be studied using an adsorption isotherm model. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm model has an R2 value that was closest to 1 one compared to the Freundlich, Temkin, Florry Huggins, and Frumkin adsorption isotherm models, as shown by an analysis of the adsorption isotherm model. Due to the interaction between the WEMB and the steel surface, the adsorption isotherm model reveals that the inhibitor of WEMB on the surface coating of mild steel tends toward chemisorption.

Abstract

Rumah Asuhan Yatim Piatu Ummi Ikhlas didirikan oleh Ustadzah Syamsatul Muniri yang terletak di ‘Mayang Mangurai, Kecamatan Alam Barajo, Kota Jambi, Provinsi Jambi’. Panti asuhan ini berada dibawah Yayasan Tarbiyah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim. Panti ini dari awal berdiri tidak mendapatkan bantuan finansial dari pemerintah dan juga tidak memiliki donatur tetap, sehingga untuk pemenuhan finansial operasional sehari-hari bergantung kepada donatur tidak tetap. Biaya sekolah anak-anak panti saat ini menggunakan uang tabungan mereka yang juga didapatkan dari donatur tidak tetap. Dengan kondisi yang ada saat ini, sangat dibutuhkan solusi cepat untuk dapat mengatasi permasalahan finansial rumah asuh, terutama untuk pemenuhan kegiatan operasional rumah asuh, seperti biaya untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari dan biaya Pendidikan. Mengacu pada beberapa pengelolaan panti yang sudah modern dan menuju mandiri, maka ada beberapa program yang dapat dikembangkan dan dicontoh oleh Rumah Asuhan Yatim Piatu Ummi Ikhlas untuk dapat juga mandiri. Pengembangan yang dimaksudkan berdasarkan potensi yang dimiliki adalah dengan membangun unit usaha khusus untuk rumah asuh sebagai pondasi finansial yang dapat mengurangi beban operasional panti. Unit usaha yang dapat dibangun yaitu bisnis industri kreatif seperti aneka kerajinan tangan dan kuliner. Selain itu, pengalaman dan keterampilan yang didapatkan oleh anak asuh dapat menjadi bekal bagi mereka dalam menjalankan kehidupan nantinya

Abstract

Pada era Industri 4.0 teknologi berkembang begitu pesat, menghadirkan banyak perubahan termasuk pada sektor pendidikan. Strategi pembelajaran bergeser menjadi berorientasi kepada Higher Order Thinking Skills. Peran media pembelajaran digital menjadi kian esensial. Kehadirannya membantu peserta didik memahami pelajaran kapan dan dimana saja. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu dihasilkannya media mobile learning berorientasi HOTS yang tervalidasi dan dapat digunakan secara efektif dalam pembelajaran kimia pada kelas XI SMA. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development), mengadaptasi model pengembangan Lee and Owens. Produk dibuat menggunakan website MIT App Inventor. Validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media mendapatkan hasil yang sangat baik, begitupun dengan penilaian guru kimia juga memperoleh kategori sangat baik. Subjek penelitian yakni peserta didik dari SMA Adhyaksa 1 Jambi kelas XI MIPA 2. Respon peserta didik skala kecil memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 85% terkategori sangat baik dan pada skala besar yakni 89% terkategori sangat baik. Hasil paired t-test menerangkan bahwa hasil belajar kimia peserta didik sebelum menggunakan media mobile learning ChemFun berorientasi HOTS berbeda secara signifikan dengan hasil belajar ketika telah menggunakan media.

Abstract

Scaffolding is a help given to students to learn and solve problems. This study aims to describe scaffolding development procedures in discovery learning to improve problem-solving skills. The research method used is a research procedure to develop a learning design model with the type F2-O1+O2-S1+S5+S6-A3. The data was collected using the Delphi technique and analyzed using qualitative data analysis methods. Based on the validation results by experts and practitioners, the product is declared suitable for learning. The results of small group trials show that the product effectively improves students' problem-solving abilities in learning activities. Applying scaffolding products in discovery learning can improve students' problem-solving skills at reaction rates.

Abstract

Air mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia sehari-hari. Di Indonesia, banyak daerah mengalami permasalahan sumber air. Salah satunya di Kelurahan Mendahara Ilir, Kecamatan Mendahara, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, Provinsi Jambi yang mengalami kesulitan mendapatkan air bersih. Masyarakat daerah Mendahara Ilir biasanya mendapatkan air bersih dengan cara menampung air hujan dan sumur bor yang dapat menyebabkan masalah lingkungan seperti penurunan tingkat permukaan tanah. Air laut yang sangat berlimpah dapat dimanfaatkan dan diolah menjadi air bersih dengan menggunakan teknologi membran yaitu Teknologi Reverse Osmosis (RO) yang didalamnya terdapat membran semipermeabel yang mampu melakukan pemisahan air tawar dari larutan garam dengan tekanan yang lebih tinggi dari tekanan osmosa larutan garam. Hasil dari penggunaan tekonolgi reverse osmosis, didapatkanlah hasil perubahan fisik berupa warna, bau, dan juga rasa pada air. Dengan adanya teknologi Reverse osmosis ini diharapkan masyarakat dapat mengurangi kebiasaan menggunakan air hujan dan penggunaan sumur bor/ air tanah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan tingkat permukaan tanah. Abstract

Burns are injuries that can be caused by heat (fire, hot liquids/fats, hot vapors), radiation, electricity, or chemicals. Coffee mistletoe leaves (Loranthus ferruginous Roxb) are one type of plant that contains secondary metabolite compounds, such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and phenolics, which play a role in the burn healing effects. This research was conducted using an experimental research method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and a post-test only control group design approach. A total of 25 rats were divided into five treatment groups for the study. The groups included a positive control group treated with Bioplacenton gel, a negative control group treated with yellow vaseline, and three experimental groups treated with different concentrations of ethanol extract of coffee mistletoe leaves. The concentrations used were 5% (P1), 10% (P2), and 15% (P3). The burn healing activity and hydroxyproline content were observed as outcome measures. The data were presented as mean ± SD and analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Subsequently, Duncan's multiple rank test was performed to determine any significant differences. A significance level of p<0.05 was considered to define statistically significant results. The results of the study showed that ethanol extract of coffee mistletoe leaves has an effect as a burn treatment, with the best concentration found at 15% concentration, which had a healing percentage of 62.5%, although its effectiveness did not exceed that of the positive control group (72,48%). The hydroxyproline content of the coffee mistletoe leaf extract group demonstrated significant difference when compared to control negative groups, especially P1 group (53.62±6.52 μg/mL), and statistically not different with positive control (64.34 ±6.02 μg/mL). For the P2 and P3 groups, the hydroxyproline content were increased but did not reach significant value. Wound-healing activity owing to its richness in various effective chemical compounds present in the extract such as phenolics, saponin, flavonoid and alkaloid. Further investigation is necessary to identify and understand these additional components and their mechanisms of action in the healing process.

Abstract

Cadmium (Cd) is a toxic heavy metal with the active property of reacting with other components so that cadmium residues can quickly enter the food chain and cause cardiovascular, kidney, and cancer diseases. The purpose was to synthesize the magnetite mercaptosilicate ion imprinted polymer adsorbent material by forming Ion-Imprinted Polymer as a template, to analyze the characterization results using XRD and SEM-EDS, and to determine the adsorption test results for Cd metal ions. The results of the characterization of XRD show that there is a broad peak at a diffraction angle of 2θ= 20-220 with an amorphous structure, which is silica, and there is a high peak at a diffraction angle of 2θ= 35.55140 which indicates magnetite. The results of SEM analysis with magnifications of 500x, 1000x, and 5000x showed that the surface morphology of the particles was not uniform. For the EDS results, it can be seen that the components of the magnetite mercaptosilicate ion imprinted polymer material are elements C, O, Si, S, and Fe, with a mass percentage of 25.0%; 41.2%; 29.9%; 3.28% and 0.8%. The results of the adsorption test for the Magnetite-IIP-Mercaptosilika Material were able to adsorb Cd ions with the highest adsorption capacity of 10.536 mg/g at a concentration of 100 mg/L. Then the selectivity coefficient value of the Ion Cd metal ion is 2.32 greater than 1, indicating that the selectivity of the magnetite mercaptosilicate ion imprinted polymer material is much higher for Ion Cd metal ions than for Cu and Cr ions with a selectivity coefficient of 0.1 and 0.26.
