Abstract

The development of science and technology can not replace the meaning of traditional medicine. Some people choose traditional medicine that have less side effects, is also related to the community's beliefs. Thus, the present study will basically try to answer such questions as: What is a badewah? How is the meaning of badewah for the Moslems communty of Muara Teweh? The study was conducted in North Barito District, Central Kalimantan. The research data consists of language, action, experience and history. The result of research as: badewah is a traditional treatment by praying to the God for healhty. Badewah treats the irrational disease and eternal disease. Muslim community in Muara Teweh choose badewah as an alternative treatment solution and interpreted as a multi-function card. Badewah has been interpreted differently by the patient. The meaning is reflected in their goals and expectations. Dayak tribe believe, if suffering from disease, before or after coming to the doctor or hospital, they are also seeking for alternative treatments such as medicines kampong and traditional healer. [Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi tidak bisa menggantikan makna pengobatan tradisional. Sebagian orang memilih pengobatan tradisional yang memiliki efek samping lebih sedikit, juga terkait dengan kepercayaan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini pada dasarnya akan mencoba menjawab permasalahan: Apa itu badewah? Bagaimana makna badewah bagi umat Muslim di Muara Teweh? Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Barito Utara, Kalimantan Tengah. Data penelitian terdiri dari bahasa, tindakan, pengalaman dan sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan badewah adalah pengobatan tradisional dengan cara berdoa kepada Tuhan untuk kesehatan. Badewah dilakukan untuk mengobati penyakit irasional dan penyakit yang tak kunjung sembuh. Komunitas Muslim di Muara Teweh memilih badewah sebagai solusi pengobatan alternatif dan ditafsirkan sebagai kartu multi-fungsi dan berbeda oleh pasien. Makna pemilihan pengobatan tradisional tercermin dalam tujuan dan harapan mereka. Suku Dayak percaya, jika menderita penyakit, sebelum atau sesudah datang ke dokter atau rumah sakit, mereka juga mencari pengobatan alternatif seperti obat-obatan kampung dan tabib tradisional.]

Abstract

Gender in a glance is often trigger debate to explain it because of a superficial comprehension. Some people also think thatthe term gender appears only among liberalism. Actually, term gender has emerged at the time of the Prophet. This condition has beendescribed by the Qur'an. In the Qur'an, there’s perceived justice between men and women. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan Pemertahanan Bahasa Jawa di  Desa Kampung Baru Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (Kajian Sosiolinguistik). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik angket, teknik rekam, teknik wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Kampung Baru merupakan masyarakat dwibahasa. yaitu masyarakat yang mampu menggunakan lebih dari satu bahasa saat berkomunikasi, diantaranya ialah bahasa daerah Bali, Komering, Batak dan Sunda akan tetapi masyarakat Desa Kampung Baru masih mendominasi menggunakan bahasa Jawa saat berkomunikasi.Selain itu faktor pendukung yang menyebabkan bahasa Jawa dapat bertahan di desa Kampung Baru Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir Dusun 6 adalah perilaku dan sikap positif untuk bersedia menggunakan bahasa Jawa dalam kegiatan sehari-hari dan mengenalkan budaya Jawa kepada generasi muda agar mereka terus mempertahankan dan menggunakan bahasa Jawa karena merupakan ciri khas dari orang Jawa.JAVA LANGUAGE DEFENSE IN KAMPUNG BARU VILLAGE OGAN KOMERING ILIR DISTRICT (SOSIOLINGUISTIC STUDY). The purpose of this study was to describe Javanese Language Retention in Kampung Baru Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency (Sociolinguistic Study). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection uses questionnaire techniques, record techniques, interview techniques and observation. The results of this study indicate that the Kampung Baru Village community is a bilingual community. that is, people who are able to use more than one language when communicating, including the local languages of Bali, Komering, Batak and Sundanese, but the people of Kampung Baru Village still dominate using the Javanese language when communicating. In addition, the supporting factors that caused Javanese language to survive in Kampung Baru Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Dusun 6 Regency were behaviors and positive attitudes to be willing to use Javanese in daily activities and introduce Javanese culture to the younger generation so that they continued to maintain and use Javanese because it is a characteristic of Javanese people. Kata kunci: Pemertahanan Bahasa, Bahasa Daerah, Sosiolinguistik.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed was to analyze the influence of Index Card Match model to the Social studies learning output in grade V of State Elementary School 38 North Pontianak. The research method was an experiment, form of Quasi Experimental's non-equivalent group design. The research population of all grade V students of Public Elementary School 38 North Pontianak were counted to 43 students. The withdrawal sample( sampel jenuh ) technique used saturation sampling. The technique used was direct observation and measuring. The data collecting instrument was observation and multiplechoice paper. The data result was the average score of class control post-test was 58,91 and the experiment was 64,75. Based on the counting result t-test was 2,12 > t-table  2,02 then Ha is accepted. It shows that there is a difference in students learning output of class control and class experiment. The value of effect size was 0,795 with middle criteria. The conclusion of this research was the influence of Index Card Match model the learning output of social studies class V of Public Elementary school 38 North Pontianak on average. Keywords: Index Card Match model, Learning output, Social Studies Learning

Abstract

The development of the world of education requires that teachers and school administration staff are skilled at writing well and correctly. Correspondence writing is part of a series of writing activities and cannot be separated from a series of activities at school. To write and reply to incoming letters of course requires the competence of a school administration staff. In order to be professional, of course school administration staff must understand how to write letters well and correctly. This of course requires training in how to write good and correct correspondence, both in terms of effective sentence writing and good letter language. The theme of this training is how to write good and correct correspondence. This activity is expected to improve the understanding and skills of school officials, in this case administrative staff, in writing correspondence at school.

Abstract

The study investigated the perceptions of students on the tradition khataman al-Quran at Islamic college. This research was conducted with intensive field work in UIN Salatiga, Central Java. A visit to the area opened an opportunity to make involved observations, which helped to understand the daily social life among students in Salatiga. In selecting informants, purposive sampling techniques were used and interviewed s even key informants and sixty secondary informants used to distribute a google form with a list of questions. The results revealed that the perception of blessings in the Khataman al-Quran is interpreted differently by students, depending on gender and domicile. The majority of students who live in Islamic boarding schools understand the meaning of blessingas referring to the general meaning: Blessings are goodness, people who receive blessings from Allah are marked by increasing the quality of good deeds in their lives. Meanwhile, students who live outside the Islamic boarding school understand that the substance of the khataman tradition is to gain rewards and ease in living life.

Abstract

Progressive Education (PE) aims to promote students' active participation and involvement in the learning process. PE strongly supports learner-centered instruction (LCI), enabling students to be active participants rather than passive recipients of knowledge. Nevertheless, the LCI has not yet gained popularity in the Indonesian school settings, particularly in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools. This enables us to do research on the potential and obstacles of implementing the LCI as required by Progressive Education in Islamic boarding schools. Data for this qualitative study was gathered through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), in-depth interviews and an online communication with 24 teachers from Islamic Boarding Schools in the province of Aceh. The findings indicate that although worries about the issues of the LCI are still arising, the teachers involved in this research believe that the LCI has promising prospects in the near future. The finding also found that although the LCI is considered an efficient method for facilitating optimal learning, it is deemed to be less successful in some courses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggambarkan sebuah permasalahan aktual yang berkaitan dengan moderasi beragama dan berfokus pada upaya tawaran solusi dalam konteks toleransi, kebangsaan, anti kekerasan, dan akomodatif budaya lokal. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk memahami implikasi dan dampak dari ketegangan beragama dalam masyarakat, serta menganalisis berbagai pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis literatur dan studi komparatif, dengan mengeksplorasi sumber-sumber teoritis dan empiris yang relevan. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan pencarian artikel, buku, dan penelitian terkait, serta analisis teks dan konten. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi pola, tren, dan kesamaan dalam pemikiran dan praktik yang berkaitan dengan toleransi agama, kebangsaan, anti kekerasan, dan budaya lokal. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa masalah moderasi beragama dapat diatasi melalui pendekatan yang berfokus pada promosi toleransi, semangat kebangsaan, penolakan kekerasan, dan promosi budaya lokal yang inklusif. Kesimpulan studi ini adalah perlunya upaya kolaboratif dari pemerintah, masyarakat, dan lembaga sosial dalam mewujudkan solusi ini. Implikasinya adalah pentingnya pendidikan dan advokasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang nilai-nilai toleransi dan keberagaman dalam masyarakat, serta perluasan praktik-praktik budaya lokal yang inklusif dan ramah terhadap perbedaan.

Abstract

Background. The profile of Pancasila students is a manifestation of the preparation of the nation's next generation who are capable and qualified to face changing times while maintaining the values of Pancasila. Purpose. The purpose of this research is to analyze the integration of Pancasila student profile values in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Senior High Schools (SMA). Method. This research method uses qualitative research with data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. Results. The results of this study indicate that the integration of Pancasila learner profile values in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in this Senior High School (SMA) includes six indicators, namely faith, fear of God Almighty and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical and creative reasoning. In integrating the values of the Pancasila student profile in learning Islamic religious education in this high school there are also several obstacles faced such as the lack of mastery of teacher competencies and teaching skills, student delinquency, unhealthy social environment and lack of parental attention. Conclusion. While the solution is to provide the opportunity to continue their education at a higher level, participate in scientific activities, instill good habits in students, create a religious, healthy, safe and comfortable school environment for students and improve cooperative relations between schools and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to write news texts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Lahat. This study uses a quantitative method because the research data is in the form of numbers and analysis using statistics. Data were collected through interviews, samples, student worksheets that were collected and conclusions were drawn so that they could be more easily understood by researchers or others. The author's results state that the value of the ability to write news texts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Lahat is at the capable level. Overall, students have been able to develop elements of news texts, news structures and language rules of news texts. However, students must continue to improve their ability to write news texts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks berita peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lahat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif karena data penelitian berupa angka-angka dan analisis menggunakan statistik. Data dikumpulkan melalui hasil wawancara, sampel, lembar kerja siswa yang dikumpulkan dan diambil kesimpulannya agar dapat lebih mudah dipahami oleh peneliti ataupun orang lain. Hasil penulis menyatakan bahwa nilai kemampuan menulis teks berita peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lahat berada pada tingkat mampu. secara keseluruhan peserta didik sudah mampu dalam mengembangkan unsur-unsur teks berita, struktur berita dan kaidah kebahasaan teks berita. Walaupun demikian, peserta didik harus tetap meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks berita yang dimiliki.
