Abstract

The research aims to discuss the implementation of character education through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project created by the Ministry of Education and Culture to overcome several problems in the world of education as an effort to build students' character in accordance with the values contained in Pancasila. In the world of education there are two problems, namely classical and modern problems. In this case, the researcher examines several phenomena of the implementation process, implementation implementation, and inhibiting and supporting factors in the field before and after the implementation of the P5 program by presenting data that is in accordance with the author's questions and assumptions, especially for class X students at SMAN 3 Blitar. In its implementation, schools are given full authority to implement these activities. Of the several themes contained in P5, the theme of local wisdom is very suitable to be applied at SMAN 3 Blitar because it has the potential to help introduce East Javanese local culture to the surrounding environment, build a sense of mutual cooperation, cooperation and achieve common goals. In this research, researchers used qualitative- descriptive methods. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is quite good, but there are still several things that need to be improved, while the implementation itself is already strong in shaping the character of students in schools. So, if P5 activities are further optimized, the Pancasila character of students will be formed.

Abstract

Abstract

Decolonization of history education mainly seeks to decenter Eurocentric narrative in history curriculum and teaching. Whilst this topic has been widely explored, the discussion related to the decolonization of history education has yet to be explored. This research aims to trace the complex process of decolonization of the history curriculum in Indonesia, which took place at the beginning of its independence, and how the political situation might have influenced this process. Historical research was conducted. Archival materials were obtained from various institutions both in Indonesia and overseas. The data were analyzed and interpreted using decolonization as a framework. This research found that the Indonesian government has tried to decolonize the history curriculum by foregrounding the role of Indonesians in History. However, the effort was not easy because the references used in teaching were still written using sources from the colonial period. Moreover, this research shows that political changes could affect the history curriculum.

Abstract

The Peniwen Affair Monument is one of the monuments located in Peniwen Village, Malang Regency. This monument was erected as a form of appreciation and to commemorate the services of health heroes (PMR) and victims who died during the Bloody Incident during the Second Military Aggression. However, currently, the existence of the Peniwen Affair monument is still underestimated by some local people and even regional government agencies. Researchers consider it important to write a historical study regarding the Peniwen Affair monument with the aim of maintaining historical memory. This research uses a historical method which consists of four stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The Peniwen Affair Monument has the potential for interesting and unique historical tourism so that it can become an icon of community pride. The Peniwen Affair Monument is also clear evidence of the atrocities of KNIL soldiers during the Second Military Aggression in Peniwen Village. The KNIL soldiers' atrocities against the people of Peniwen sparked protests by the Peniwen Christian Congregation led by Ds. Martodipuro to the World Church World Church Council (WCC). This protest was responded to internationally and resulted in world condemnation of the Netherlands for human rights violations and the murder of health workers which was a war crime. Several efforts to revive and remember the history of the Bloody Events of 1949 have begun to exist, but they are limited to a few community groups. This should receive attention and receive support, especially from regional government agencies, especially in maintaining the historical preservation of the Peniwen Affair Monument. Apart from that, it is hoped that the history of the Peniwen Affair Monument can also be presented in learning activities through local history lessons with the aim of maintaining historical memory. Martodipuro ke Gereja Dunia World Church Council (WCC).

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the internalization process of the da'wah (Islamic propagation) values bequeathed by Sheikh Jumadil Kubro and their implementation in shaping students' character through the History subject in the Merdeka Curriculum. Sheikh Jumadil Kubro was a great 14th-century scholar who spread Islam in the Nusantara region. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study aimed at exploring Sheikh Jumadil Kubro's da'wah values. The research findings reveal that Sheikh Jumadil Kubro possessed three characters relevant to the Pancasila Student Profile: 1) noble character, 2) global diversity, 3) critical reasoning. Thus, the integration of Sheikh Jumadil Kubro's da'wah values into the teaching of History in the Merdeka Curriculum can serve as a relevant model for producing a generation with an Islamic and patriotic character.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the crucial issue of education. Globalization provides benefits for countries to develop, but is not conducive to character education. Globalization brings many new values that cause the implementation of moral, cultural and religious values in children to decline. Education is the key to forming a young generation with character, so reactualization needs to be pursued. Character education is closely related to Islamic education. Many local traditions hold cultural and religious values, including the baritan tradition preserved by the community in Ngeni Village, Blitar Regency. The purpose of this research is the reactualization of Islamic education, especially culture-based by taking Islamic values in the baritan tradition.  This research uses descriptive qualitative research to present research based on natural settings. The results showed that in the midst of globalization, character education requires refreshment, so that local culture is not displaced by foreign cultures. In the baritan tradition, there are cultural and religious values that must be introduced and taught to the younger generation so that they do not fade and disappear in the times. The reactualization process is carried out through four steps, namely exemplary, habituation, supervision, and punishment and reward.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe process of Islamization in Nusantara, especially in Java, cannot be separated from the role of Wali Songo. This role found momentum in the form of Islamic institutionalization through the Demak Sultanate, which was the first Islamic sultanate in Java. This sultanate could dominate almost all Java regions, including Kediri. Islam in Kediri was spread by Sunan Geseng, a student of Sunan Kalijaga who was given the task of spreading Islam to the southern part of Java. Researchers found that Sunan Geseng played a role in the spread of Islam in Kediri around the 15th century. In this research, researchers used historical methods with research stages, namely, heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This research aims to determine Sunan Geseng's role in spreading Islam in Kediri around the 15th century. Researchers found that Sunan Geseng traveled around the 15th century to spread Islam, including Kediri, after the Demak sultanate's founding. In Kediri, he used the Bil-hikmah da'wah method in preaching, founded a hermitage to teach Islamic teachings, and gave advice related to Islam. Keywords: Islamization, Kediri, the Role of Sunan Geseng ABSTRAKProses Islamisasi di Nusantara khususnya di Jawa tidak terlepas dari peran Wali Songo.
