Abstract

This study aims to examine various teaching strategies used by teachers to enhance reading interest among elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The data were obtained from relevant national and international publications published between 2015 and 2024. The review identified six main categories of effective strategies: (1) storytelling and read-aloud activities, (2) reading corners and literacy-rich classroom environments, (3) the use of digital, visual, and interactive media, (4) collaborative or group-based reading activities, (5) reward systems and positive reinforcement, and (6) parental involvement and home-based support. The findings indicate that increasing students’ reading interest cannot be achieved through a single approach, but rather through a combination of strategies tailored to learners’ needs and school contexts. This review is expected to serve as a reference for teachers, schools, and policymakers in designing literacy learning that is more creative, adaptive, and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to review the effectiveness of deep learning in enhancing students’ critical reasoning skills through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus databases covering publications from 2015 to 2025, using the keywords “deep learning,” “critical reasoning,” and “higher-order thinking.” A total of 20 selected articles were analyzed based on relevance, research design, and findings. The results indicate that deep learning effectively enhances students’ abilities to analyze, evaluate, and reflect by engaging them in meaningful and contextual learning processes. The most effective models include Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PJBL), and Case-Based Learning, which foster collaboration and higher-order thinking. The success of deep learning implementation is also determined by the teacher’s role as a facilitator who cultivates a reflective and critical classroom culture. Therefore, integrating deep learning into instructional design is recommended as an innovative strategy to strengthen students’ critical reasoning and prepare them for 21st-century education challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze various research findings on the effectiveness of storytelling activities in improving reading interest among elementary school students. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by examining scholarly articles published between 2015 and 2025 sourced from Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus. A total of 75 studies were reviewed, and 24 met the inclusion criteria based on topic relevance, research design, and discussion focus. The findings reveal that storytelling significantly enhances children’s reading interest through affective (emotional and motivational), cognitive (story comprehension and vocabulary), and social (interaction and empathy) dimensions. Storytelling not only serves as entertainment but also as a contextual literacy medium that fosters joy and engagement in reading from an early age. Furthermore, the emergence of digital storytelling platforms has expanded children’s access to engaging reading materials, thereby increasing their motivation to read. The study concludes that both traditional and digital storytelling practices play a vital role in cultivating a sustainable reading culture among Indonesian children.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of school bulletin boards as an effort to improve the numerical literacy of elementary school students. The background of this study stems from the low ability of students to understand numerical concepts contextually in the school environment. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research subjects being teachers and students at an elementary school in Surakarta. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model. The results show that the use of school bulletin boards can increase students' interest in learning and numerical abilities through the presentation of information based on numbers, graphics, and everyday problems. Furthermore, bulletin boards serve as a collaborative medium that fosters students' creativity and critical thinking skills. This study implies the need for teachers to integrate school media into numerical learning as a contextual literacy strategy based on the learning environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis berbagai hasil kajian mengenai peran guru dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah artikel-artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2015–2025, baik nasional maupun internasional. Hasil sintesis literatur menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran multifaset sebagai pendidik, pembimbing, pengarah, evaluator, dan teladan moral dalam menanamkan kedisiplinan. Strategi yang diterapkan mencakup pendekatan keteladanan, pembiasaan, penegakan aturan, serta sistem penghargaan dan hukuman. Selain itu, faktor pendukung keberhasilan pembentukan karakter disiplin antara lain dukungan kepala sekolah, kolaborasi dengan orang tua, dan budaya sekolah yang kondusif. Namun, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi tantangan seperti lemahnya kesadaran diri siswa, pengaruh lingkungan sosial, dan kurangnya konsistensi penerapan aturan. Kesenjangan penelitian menunjukkan perlunya kajian yang lebih empiris mengenai efektivitas strategi berbasis digital dan kolaboratif dalam membentuk kedisiplinan siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya perlu mengkaji model pendidikan karakter berbasis teknologi yang selaras dengan paradigma pendidikan 5.0 untuk memperkuat nilai disiplin di era transformasi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran media gambar hasil karya sendiri dalam meningkatkan sikap disiplin siswa sekolah dasar. Disiplin merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan karakter yang perlu ditanamkan sejak dini agar siswa mampu mengatur diri, menghargai waktu, dan mematuhi aturan sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kepustakaan yang menelaah berbagai teori dan penelitian terbaru tahun 2020–2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan gambar karya siswa sendiri tidak hanya meningkatkan kreativitas, tetapi juga melatih tanggung jawab, ketekunan, dan kepatuhan siswa dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Siswa yang terlibat langsung dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan pada kedisiplinan, baik dalam menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu, menjaga kerapian, maupun menaati aturan kelas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis karya siswa dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam menanamkan nilai karakter disiplin sejak dini.

Abstract

Mental health in primary schools is important to know. This study aims to 1) identify mental health in primary schools; 2) identify mental health factors in primary schools; and 3) analyze published articles (objectives,methods and research results) in scientific journals for the period 2010-2022 that are relevant to mental health in primary schools. This study used a systematic literature review method with all articles found which were then selected according to the inclusion, exclusion and quality assessment criteria. The resulting 36 scientific articles can be analyzed in accordance with the research questions that have been set. The results of the study are in the form of a description of mental health in elementary schools which has not been widely discussed by previous studies including the factors that influence it, the methods or techniques used and research trends during the period 2010 -2022. This research has implications for the discovery of future research that can be used as an initial foothold for future researchers who have an interest in the theme of research on mental health in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mensintesis berbagai hasil studi terkait pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi digital terhadap pertumbuhan peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR), dengan penelusuran artikel ilmiah pada database Google Scholar, Scispace, Elicit, dan Consensus. Proses seleksi difokuskan pada literatur yang diterbitkan dalam rentang tahun 2015 hingga 2025 dengan kriteria inklusi berupa artikel yang relevan, terindeks nasional/internasional, serta membahas keterkaitan antara aplikasi digital dan pertumbuhan peserta didik, baik secara kognitif, afektif, maupun psikomotorik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi digital memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap perkembangan peserta didik secara holistik. Aplikasi interaktif seperti Kahoot dan Quizziz terbukti mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan belajar siswa, sedangkan aplikasi berbasis adaptif dan kolaboratif mendukung peningkatan pemahaman konsep serta keterampilan sosial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa aplikasi digital bukan hanya sebagai alat bantu teknis, tetapi juga sebagai media strategis dalam mendorong pertumbuhan peserta didik secara menyeluruh. Diperlukan pengembangan aplikasi yang lebih kontekstual dan pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru agar pemanfaatan teknologi pendidikan dapat optimal.
