Abstract

This study aims to find out how the relationship between students' self -efficacy and self -efficacy in the reaction rate material. This type of research is an experimental study with pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this study was a random sampling technique, namely by choosing 3 high school (SMA) in Bengkalis Regency, namely SMA Negeri 2 Mandau, 8 Mandau State High School, and IT Al-Kautsar State High School. The correlation test was carried out to find out whether between two variables there was a relationship, and if there was a relationship, how the direction of the relationship and how much the relationship was. Based on the results of the correlation test that there is a positive correlation between the ability to solve problems and self -efficacy in students in high school, medium and low.

Abstract

Tempeh juice with probiotics is considered as functional probiotic foods with health benefits. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of packaging type (glass bottle and aluminum foil), and cold storage duration on chemical, microbial and sensory properties of probiotic tempeh juice. The research used a two-factorial Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. ANOVA was used to analyze the data and it was followed by DMRT test at 5% significance level. The results showed that storage duration had no significant effect on viscosity and other chemical analysis, but was significant on sensory attributes of color, aroma, taste, and overall acceptability. Protein decreased on the 8th day probably due to protein hydrolysis by microbial activity, but increased on the 12th day of storage due to the accumulation of microorganism cell walls during storage. However, sensory changes included a paler color, a stronger fermentation aroma, an acidic alcoholic taste, and overall acceptance was acceptable. It was concluded that glass bottle packaging was more effective in maintaining the stability of protein content, pH, and sensory of probiotic tempeh juice beverage compared to the aluminum foil standing pouch with a spout, with the estimated shelf life was 8 days in cold storage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ problem-solving abilities in acid-base material through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in class XI of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design. The population in this study were All students of class XI of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. The research sample was 36 students selected through a simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a problem-solving ability test validated by 3 validators. Data analysis through normality tests, paired sample t-tests and N-Gain tests. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students’ problem-solving abilities after the application of the PBL model, indicated by the calculated t value > t table (25.983 > 2.03011) and an average N-Gain value of 0.71 with a high category. These results indicate that the PBL model is effective in improving students’ abilities in understanding, planning, and implementing problem solving in acid-base material.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of website-based interactive learning media on the topic of atomic structure and the periodic table of elements for grade X students of senior high school (SMA/MA) or equivalent. The development was carried out using the ADDIE model which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection included validation of media and materials by experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, and limited trials. The validation results showed that the learning media met the “valid” criteria in all aspects assessed, including content feasibility (92.5%), language (93.75%), presentation (93.75%), graphics (97.91%), and concept structure (95.31%), with an overall average of 94.64% for material experts. Media experts assessed the visual design and software utilization aspects at 92.5% and 100%, respectively, with an average of 96.25%. In this study, the research sample was 10 grade X students of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru and 10 grade X students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru as well as 2 chemistry teachers in each school. In the implementation stage, a user response trial will be conducted by the research sample. The user response trial by teachers and students also showed very good results, with an overall average score of 91.80% and 91.76%, which is categorized as "very good". These findings indicate that the developed website-based interactive learning media is effective, practical, and appropriate to support independent and meaningful learning, especially in mastering abstract chemical concepts such as atomic structure and the periodic table.

Abstract

This study used classroom action Research to improve student learning activities and outcomes on buffer solutions for Grade XI 1 at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru through discovery learning. The model was applied through stages of stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. CAR cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection addressed learning problems arising from the abstract and microscopic nature of buffer concepts. Participants were 36 students of class XI 1. Results show student learning activities increased from 57.61% (Cycle I, adequate) to 71.10% (Cycle II, good), meeting the success criterion. Student learning outcomes similarly improved, with classical mastery rising from 63.88% in Cycle I to 94.44% in Cycle II, and mean scores increasing accordingly. Findings indicate that systematically implemented discovery learning, supported by teacher scaffolding and iterative refinement, effectively enhances both engagement and achievement in buffer solution topics. The study recommends broader application and further Research on scaffolded discovery approaches across classes.
