Abstract

ABSTRAKCa Mammae is the most prevalent cancer among early adult women aged 15–39 years, accounting for 5.6% of all invasive breast cancer cases in younger women compared to older age groups (Rebecca H. Johnson, MD, 2021). In 2023, the Bogor City Health Office reported breast cancer as the leading cancer type, with 597 recorded cases. This study aimed to identify determinants of Ca Mammae incidence among adolescents and early adults at Bogor City Hospital. A quantitative study with a descriptive cross-sectional design was conducted. The population consisted of 30 adolescents–early adults diagnosed with Ca Mammae, with total sampling applied. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square tests and multivariate binary logistic regression. Statistical significance was set at p 0.05. The results showed significant associations between Ca Mammae incidence and age at menarche (p = 0.037), family history (p = 0.011), stress (p = 0.042), and consumption of ready-to-eat food (p = 0.033). No significant association was found between obesity and Ca Mammae incidence (p = 0.261). Multivariate analysis identified consumption of ready-to-eat food as the most dominant determinant factor (p = 0.018). In conclusion, dietary patterns, particularly the consumption of ready-to-eat food, represent the strongest contributing factor to Ca Mammae incidence among adolescents and early adults at Bogor City Hospital. The findings are expected to serve as a scientific reference and educational resource for STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang in strengthening academic materials related to determinants of Ca Mammae incidence in young populations                                                 ABSTRACTCa Mammae merupakan kanker yang paling prevalen pada perempuan dewasa awal berusia 15–39 tahun, dengan proporsi sebesar 5,6% dari seluruh kasus kanker payudara invasif pada kelompok usia muda dibandingkan kelompok usia yang lebih tua.

Abstract

As of March 31, 2020, Indonesia reported 1,528 confirmed Covid-19 cases with 136 deaths and a case fatality rate (CFR) of 8.9%. Covid-19 pandemic limited activities, including the dissemination of information; thus, an intensive education was required to build community preparedness. The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of counseling through WhatsApp on the preparedness of Villa Pamulang Depok community in dealing with Covid-19. This study used an analytical quasi-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design method. The samples of this study amounted to 44 people who were selected by proportional sample technique. The respondents received education via WhatsApp for 14 days. The effects of information dissemination through WhatsApp was measured by using paired sample t-test. The results of this study showed that there was a relationship between the spread of Covid-19 information via WhatsApp on the community preparedness at Villa Pamulang Depok in facing Covid-19 with p-value 0.004. The findings also showed the difference of Covid-19 preparedness before and after providing information about Covid-19 through WhatsApp. This research was expected to enrich knowledge of community preparedness as an effort of Covid-19 prevention.

Abstract

According to an analysis conducted by the World Bank Group, WHO, and UNICEF, around 144 million children who are under the age of five (21.3%) were affected by stunting worldwide in 2019. By 2022, this figure had risen to an estimated 148.1 million children (22.3%). This study aims to evaluate the health promotion interventions utilizing a prototype of a stunting health information system and a 3D pageflip e-module in enhancing attitudes and knowledge for the prevention of stunting in South Tangerang. This study applied a quantitative approach combined with a quasi-experimental design, utilizing a two-group design with a pretest and post-test measurements framework. A total of 106 individuals surveyed were included, divided equally into two groups: one group received the prototype stunting health information system intervention, and the other was provided with the 3D Pageflip e-module, comprising 53 participants for every group. The Wilcoxon test showed the prototype of the stunting health information system group showed a significant difference for knowledge (p = 0.046) and attitude (p = 0.025), and the 3D pageflip e-module group showed a significant difference in knowledge and attitude (p = 0.000). The Mann-Whitney test showed that there was a significant difference for knowledge (p = 0.000) and for attitude (p = 0.042). The effect size test for knowledge is 1.06 and for attitude 0.27. It can be concluded that the prototype of the stunting health information system and the 3D pageflip e-module effectively increase mothers' knowledge and attitudes regarding stunting prevention. Keywords: Prototype, Stunting Health Information System, 3D Pageflip E Module, Knowledge, Preventive, Attitude
