Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the Quran memorization learning process using the results of the STIFIn intelligence test as a reference. This is done by analyzing the planning, implementation, and assessment of learning. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research location was chosen at SD Abi And Ummi, Medan, based on initial observations that showed the application of the STIFIn method in Quran memorization learning. The subjects of the research consisted of school administrators, teachers, and students, totaling 3 administrators, 14 teachers, and 57 students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that Quran memorization teachers plan their lessons by utilizing the results of the STIFIn intelligence test. They adjust their teaching methods to the students' learning styles, as seen in children with Feeling intelligence who are more responsive to audio-based learning. School documentation also confirms the existence of systematic planning, including the use of the STIFIn intelligence test as an initial step to understand student characteristics. With active involvement from school management, these programs have the potential to be further improved so that Quran memorization lesson planning based on the results of the STIFIn intelligence test can be more effective and efficient in the future. SD Abi And Ummi demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing Quran learning by understanding student characteristics through the STIFIn test. Structured support from administrators, teachers, and students aims to optimize the quality of learning based on the results of the STIFIn intelligence test. This assessment is crucial in ensuring that each student receives support according to their needs, thereby improving learning outcomes in Quran memorization.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Farkiyah Box as a teaching aid in improving students' understanding of the Fiqh al-Janā'iz material. This material requires a practical and applicable learning approach so that students not only understand the theory but are also able to implement it in real socio-religious life. The limitations of this study are that it only focuses on the evaluation aspect on a limited scale in one particular school, using a pre-experimental method that does not involve a control group. This study uses a quantitative approach of the pre-experimental type with a one-group pretest-posttest design and a response questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 36 ninth-grade students of SMP IT Baiti Jannati, Sunggal, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used pretest-posttest, response questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis technique used the n-gain value to measure effectiveness and the average questionnaire score for efficiency. The results of the study showed that the use of Farkiyah Box had an n-gain value of 0.742 on a scale of 0-1 which is in the high category, indicating a significant increase in student understanding. Meanwhile, the results of the response questionnaire showed an average score of 3.346 on a scale of 1-4 which indicated that this teaching aid was efficient and positively received by students. Thus, it can be concluded that Farkiyah Box has proven to be an effective and efficient teaching aid in learning Fiqh al-Janā'iz. It is worthy of being developed and applied more widely in Islamic educational institutions. This study recommends Farqiyah Box as a new prototype teaching aid model for teaching Fiqh al-Janā'iz.

Abstract

Reading is a basic human ability to obtain information by understanding the meaning contained in each piece of writing. Teachers have a very important role in designing the use of methods, media and strategies to stimulate students' reading abilities and achieve learning goals. This research aims to analyze the application of the phonics method in beginning reading learning to find out how to stimulate students' reading abilities at Tadika Al-Fikh Orchard Ayer Tawar Perak Malaysia. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study type of research and a field approach (Field Research), data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out through 4 stages, namely data collection, data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions (verification). Early childhood children's ability to read is usually driven by environmental factors, be it family, teachers or appropriate learning systems. The steps for initial reading learning using the phonics method are: planning initial reading learning using the phonics method, implementing initial reading learning using the phonics method, and evaluating initial reading learning using the phonics method. Based on the research results, early reading learning using the phonics method is very good for developing students' language skills, especially in reading.

Abstract

This research departs from the problem of students' low time management skills which have an impact on learning disorganization, habit of postponing tasks, and lack of discipline. Therefore, the researcher integrated three main components, namely Gimkit media, classical guidance services, and Understanding by Design (UbD) approach as an intervention strategy to improve students' time management skills. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the gimkit media strategy in UbD-based classical services can improve students' time management skills. The research method used is classroom action research in the form of a spiral cycle consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The sample was students of class X.10 of State Senior High School 3 Medan. Data were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results showed a significant increase in students' time management skills after participating in classical guidance services designed using the Understanding by Design (UbD) approach and Gimkit interactive media. This can be seen from the increase in the average score of the questionnaire from 23.6 in the pre-cycle to 36.2 in cycle III, as well as the increase in the number of students in the “Good” and “Very Good” categories from 11% to 95%. Gimkit media effectively increased student engagement in the service process. Classical guidance services as a group coaching medium proved to be able to create a reflective and solutive learning atmosphere. Through discussion, open reflection, and evaluation of personal commitment, students showed awareness and changes in mindset and behavior towards time management.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the business process in the implementation of school accreditation in North Sumatra. The implementation of School Accreditation is carried out by the National Accreditation Board for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Secondary Education, in the Province of Sumatra in 2024. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a narrative type. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and data searches sourced from key informants. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive method, and data validity testing by extending the research and increasing accuracy, because the data to be presented is accurate data that is the result of school accreditation in North Sumatra in 2024. The results of the study show that the accreditation process in North Sumatra has followed the established procedures, the target quota for accreditation in 2024 has also been achieved well, although many obstacles were faced, but in the end the accreditation process can be completed. The conclusion of this study is that by complying with the rules that have been set in the school accreditation business process, the implementation of accreditation in the province will be carried out properly and smoothly.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of moral education in the view of Yunahar Ilyas and its relevance in Indonesia. Moral education is an integral part of Islamic teachings, occupying a special and very important position, as evidenced by the many verses of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet that discuss it. The concept of morality itself etymologically means character, temperament, behavior, or nature, which regulates human relations with God, others, and the universe. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach, collecting data from written materials such as books, journals, and articles, with the book "Kuliah Akhlaq" by Yunahar Ilyas as the primary data source. The results of the study show that Yunahar Ilyas places moral education as a fundamental foundation that does not grow by itself, but requires coaching, training, and hard work. This view is very relevant considering the degradation of morality in today's young generation, which requires educational institutions to conduct introspection and change in order to instill good moral and ethical values. Moral education, according to Yunahar Ilyas, is the foundation of true happiness in this world and the hereafter and is crucial to overcoming the moral crisis and forming a generation of integrity. This confirms the contribution of Yunahar Ilyas' thoughts in the context of moral education in Indonesia, which seeks to produce principles and truths according to the teachings of the Qur'an and as-sunnah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan kurang kreatifnya guru dalam menggunakan media dalam pembelajaran yang dilakukan di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 17 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre eksperimental tipe one group pretest- posttes design. Dalam penelitian ini populasinya adalah 30 anak dengan sampel penelitian 15 anak. Hasil rata-rata pretest 2.27, setelah dilakukan pretest dilakukan kemudian diberikan perlakuan berupa penggunaan media Lossparts untuk melihat berpengaruh tidaknya media Lossparts terhadap kemampuan seni anak, selama melaksanakan treatment terlihat pengaruh media Loosparts  terhadap kemampuan seni anak dengan rata-rata 3.60. Untuk melihat terdapat pengaruh tidaknya atau perbedaan dalam kemampuan seni anak pada penggunaan media Loosparts dapat dilihat dari nilai Sig yang diuji menggunakan SPSS, nilai Sig dibandingkan dengan taraf Signifikan 0.05, apabila nila nilai Sig > 0.05 maka tidak terdapat pengaruh sedangkan jika nilai Sig<0.05 maka terdapat pengaruh. Maka hasil dari pengujian Hipotesis dengan menggunakan SPSS denga nilai Sig ,000 < 0.05 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, Artinya trdapat pengaruh dalam penggunaan media Loosparts.Kata Kunci: Media loosparts; kemampuan seni anak.This research is motivated by the teacher's lack of creativity in using media in learning conducted at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 17 Medan. Abstract

The issue of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning based on the yellow book at MTs. Alwashliyah Ismailiyah Medan is influenced by students who are not madrasa graduates, causing difficulties and unfamiliarity in understanding the yellow book. Additionally, students' lack of interest in studying the yellow book also impacts the success of the learning process. This study aims to examine the role of teachers in addressing these challenges so that the learning process can run effectively. The research uses a qualitative method with a location at MTs. Alwashliyah Ismailiyah Medan. Primary data sources include three Islamic Religious Education teachers based on the yellow book and the head of the curriculum department, while secondary data is gathered from the principal and students. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that teachers play a significant role in overcoming these issues through various approaches, such as building cooperation with homeroom teachers and other teachers to integrate other subjects with the yellow book. This helps students who do not have a madrasa background to understand and identify Arabic sentences, while also enhancing the abilities of students with a madrasa background in understanding the concepts of Islamic education using the yellow book as teaching material.
