Abstract

Kampung Jawa Lama is one of the villages in the city of Lhokseumawe, which has a dense population. An unbalanced comparison between the availability of urban space and the increasing number of residents impacts community space activities. This research study is focused on the old Javanese village settlements, which have ambiguity between the boundaries of space for activities such as private space and public space in everyday life in society. It can be seen from community activities that use public space for personal gain. The spatial boundaries in the old Javanese village occur because they grow and develop irregularly, resulting in social interaction factors and community activities that dominate the space. This research uses a descriptive qualitative survey method that is exploratory with a rationalistic approach. The characteristics of territoriality can be seen from the influence of the components in the space, where the function has its role in the emergence of activities. Community agreements with supporting elements for activities such as activities around residential spaces, routine activities, and scheduled activities also form territories that occur in the settlements of Kampung Jawa Lama. In addition, the activities that occur cause a change in the function of the public space used for personal interests by residents in the neighborhood around the house.

Abstract

The study was undermined by student’s numeracy literacy skills which were still low with an average score of 27. Students were not accustomed to do numeracy literacy questions because there was no valid collection of numeracy literacy questions. So, this research aims to provide and evaluate the viability, usefulness, and efficacy of numeracy literacy questions based on quizizz by applying Tebing Tinggi’s sociocultural context. The ADDIE development model comprising the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation was employed in this study. The subjects of this research were class VIII student at SMP Ir. H. Djuanda Tebing Tinggi. Based on the findings of research and development, it is possible to see that the product of numeracy literacy questions on quizizz which was developed using comparative material that is feasible and practical but is not effectively used by student at SMP Ir. H. Djuanda Tebing Tinggi.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a science that bridges mathematics and culture. One of the Toba Batak cultures that is related to mathematics is the traditional craft of Saddum ulos cloth which they use as clothing in rituals or series of birth, death and wedding events.  Toba Batak culture, in the form of traditional Saddum Ulos cloth crafts, is interesting to reveal and explore through ethnomathematics based on Geogebra software. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the mathematical concepts contained in Saddum ulos cloth and the use of Geogebra software in making the motifs. The research method used was a descriptive method with an ethnographic approach. The data sources were obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed through triangulation of data sources and descriptive methods. The research results show that Saddum ulos batik has mathematical concepts such as lines and angles, number patterns, plane geometry, and geometric transformations. Making the Saddum ulos motif using Geogebra makes the Saddum ulos motif better visualized and its relationship with mathematics clearly illustrated.

Abstract

Alat evaluasi yang digunakan di MAN 3 Aceh Utara masih menggunakan alat evaluasi secara konvensional yaitu menggunakan media kertas sehingga kegiatan evaluasi menjadi kurang praktis dan peserta didik merasa bosan karena alat evaluasi kurang menarik. Sekolah tersebut juga belum menerapkan aplikasi ispring suite 9 untuk pembuatan soal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan kepraktisan alat evaluasi berbasis ispring suite 9 yang dikembangkan berdasarkan penilaian dari 2 ahli media, 2 ahli materi serta dari 6 peserta didik dan 27 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model Borg and Gall 7 tahapan. Hasil rata-rata persentase penilaian yang diperoleh: (1) ahli media sebesar 82%, (2) ahli materi sebesar 92,5%, (3) 6 peserta didik sebesar 92,25%, dan (4) respon 27 peserta didik sebesar 84%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan alat evaluasi berupa tes online berbasis ispring suite 9 sangat layak dan sangat praktis digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi pada pembelajaran matematika. Kata Kunci: Alat Evaluasi, Ispring Suite 9, Tes Online

Abstract

Penerapan model keputusan dalam kajian perencanaan  tata ruang  pemukiman warga di kawasan kota  lhokseumawe untuk dapat dikaji ulang karena lokasi daerah tersebut rawan dari musibah dan sangat berbahaya bagi masyarakat yang posisinya dekat dengan pesisir pantai. Diperlukan sebuah Penerapan model keputusan dalam kajian perencanaan  tata ruang kota  yang dimana model tersebut dapat melihat dari semua aspek kondisi dari perencanaan  tata ruang kota. Analisa suatu model keputusan dalam analisis  persepsi masyarakat terhadap perencanaan masa depan yang terbaik sebagai tempat perencanaan masa depan dengan menggunakan model CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index ). Penggunaan model CSI  sebagai salah satu model decision dalam pengambilan keputusan kepada masyarakat. Pengambilan data dari  penelitian ini melalui analisis deskriptif dari persepsi masyakat  terhadap analisis kebijakan perubahan tata ruang kota lhokseumawe meliputi  aspek ekonomi terdiri dari pembukaan bidang pekerjaan, pendapatan yang didapat, dan tingkat penghasilan yang didapat; aspek lingkungan meliputi  konsep estetika, keamanan, fungsi kebersihan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya suatu kebijakan dalam Penerapan Kajian Perencanaan Tata Ruang dan Identifikasi Bentuk Struktur Ruang Kota Lhokseumawe dengan sebuah model,  Hal ini dapat menjadikan solusi yang tepat untuk semua elemen masyarakat memberikan penilaian tempat perencaan tatakota lhokseumawe yang paling baik.

Abstract

Belanda memilih usaha perkebunan sebagai upaya meningkatkan perekonomian mereka di Indonesia. Pada akhir abad ke-19, mulailah usaha perkebunan mulai berkembang dan menyebar hingga ke Sumatera Utara. Pada masa itu suatu wilayah perkebunan Deli Maatschapij dipimpin oleh seorang Administrateur perkebunan atau juga disebut Administartur/Manajer. Administratur perkebunan Deli Maatschapij memiliki rumah untuk menjalankan aktivitasnya sebagai pimpinan perusahaan. Selain usianya yang sudah melebihi 50 tahun sebagai warisan sejarah, rumah ini juga telah memenuhi kriteria cagar budaya untuk didokumentasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan warisan sejarah dari segi arsitektur bangunan Rumah Administratur Perkebunan PTPN-II dengan cara mendokumentasikan secara digital yang meliputi data ukuran yang terukur dengan menggunakan salah satu pedoman standar ICOMOS. Dalam pengumpulan dan menganalisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif survei dengan mengikuti panduan HABS. Rumah Administratur Perkebunan PTPN II merupakan bangunan hasil dari peninggalan perusahaan perkebunan terbesar di Sumatera pada akhir abad ke-19. Rumah tersebut memiliki gaya khas Kolonial Belanda dengan kombinasi rumah panggung sebagai bentuk adaptasi terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Samudera Pasai is one of the Islamic Sultanates in Indonesia which appeared in the Middle Ages or around 1267 AD. Evidence of the existence of the Sultanate of Samuedra Pasai in Indonesia is listed in the book Rihlah ilal-Masyriq (Wanderings to the East) written by Abu Abdullah Ibnu Batutha (1304 - 1368 AD), a Muslim adventurer who traveled to Samudera Pasai in 1345 AD. The spatial pattern of the Samudera Pasai Sultanate is no longer visible because there are no traces of archaeological remains in the form of any remaining buildings, except for the tombs of Sultanate figures and historical records of foreign adventurers who have explored the Samudera Pasai Sultanate. This record strengthens the evidence of the existence of the Samudera Pasai Sultanate. The methodology used in this case is a phenomenological approach and a historical approach, which are expected to approach optimal results in uncovering spatial patterns in the development of Islam. The spatial arrangement of the sultanate generally used the concept of catur gatra tungga, which was arranged in the form of: alun-alun (the square) as the center of space, markets to the north of the square, palaces to the south of the square, and mosques to the west of the square. The spatial arrangement then formed a spatial pattern that became the center of the Samudera Pasai Sultanate.

Abstract

Basically, functional aspect in masjid can easily understand that there are divergence phenomena between the present masjid compared to the physical appearance and function of the Prophet's Masjid in the beginning. The objective of study is to reveals the existence of the Prophet's Masjid regarding the process and physical description of the masjid through hadith, sirah nabawiyah and related references as a guideline for comparative thinking on the present masjid. Critical descriptive research method is used as an analytical instrument to     assess present masjid by adopting the idea of function in architecture knowledge and collaborate with the idea of social values as a  reflection of the paradigm of Muslims towards the present masjid. Discussion find out that the people's perspective on present masjid tends to be statically trapped in the shape, form and visuals from the legacy of Islamic civilization after the time of the Prophet’s Muhammad PBUH.

Abstract

Abstrak_ Ruang Grand Studio Program Studi Arsitektur Fakultas Teknik Universitas Malikussaleh (GS-PAFT) merupakan satu ruang studio baru yang menggunakan penghawaan alami pada prodi Arsitektur universitas tersebut. GS-PAFT merupakan ruang studio yang paling luas yang dapat menampung 60 orang mahasiswa dengan luas 168.48 m2dan baru digunakan satu semester. Dalam penggunaannya, dirasakan kondisi termal yang tidak nyaman baik bagi mahasiswa maupun tenaga pengajar.Studi ini melakukan investigasi untuk membuktikan sensasi ketidaknyamanan subjektif tersebut dengan data sehingga bisa dipertanggung jawabkan secara objektif dengan pengukuran adaptive comfort.Tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan data sensasi termal sehingga pihak prodi arsitektur dapat mengambil langkah yang benar untuk penyelesaian masalah tersebut.Metode yang dipakai adalah metode simulasi komputer dengan teknik parametrik menggunakan Rhinoceros, Grasshopper dan Ladybug & Honeybee.Ruang GS-PAFT dibagi menjadi sembilan zona berdasarkan orientasi dan modul bangunan untuk memudahkan analisis.Simulasi dilakukan dari pukul 08.00 sampai 17.00 yang merupakan waktu pemakaian ruang pada hari kerja.Hasil menunjukkan kurang dari 40% waktu sepanjang tahun dirasakan nyaman.Zona yang paling nyaman dan paling tidak nyaman secara berurutan adalah zona 8 (Timur, tidak terpapar matahari) dan zona 20 (Barat Daya, terekspos matahari) dengan persentase waktu nyaman tahunan 39.23% dan 33.53%. Kata kunci : Adaptive Comfort; Sensasi Termal; Simulasi Kenyamanan Termal; Metode Parametrik; Ruang Studio.Kata kunci : Adaptive Comfort; Sensasi Termal; Simulasi Kenyamanan Termal; Metode Parametrik; Ruang Studio.Abstract_ Grand Studio Technic Faculty of Architecture Department in  Malikussaleh Uniersity (GS-PAFT) was a latest studio room using natural  ventilation on Architecture Department of Malikussaleh University.  GS-PAFT was the largest studio which accommodated 60 students with the area of 168.48 m2 and it had been utilized only for one semester.  The thermal sensation of the space was uncomfortable both for students and lecturers who had used the studio.  Thisinvestigation of this study is to prove the subjective of uncomfortable sensation that can become responsible objective using measurement of adaptive comfort.  The paper was aimed for providing data of thermal sensation, in order to guide the architecture department solving the thermal comfort problem.  This study used computer simulation method with parametric technic using Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Ladybug& Honeybee.  The GS-PAFT room was divided into nine zones based on its orientation and the building modular for easier analysis.  Simulation was conducted from 08:00 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. which was the time of the space was utilized within the working days.  The result showed that less than 40% of the time from the whole year was thermally comfortable.  The most comfortable and uncomfortable zones consecutively were zone 8 (East, no sun exposure) and zone 20 (South West, sun exposed) which revelead 39.23% and 33.53%  the comfortable time percentage of the whole year.Keywords : Adaptive Comfort; Thermal Sensation; Thermal Comfort Simulation; Parametric Method, Architecture Studio

Abstract

Abstrak_ Pencahayaan Alami Siang Hari (PASH) perlu diterapkan pada bangunan sebagai langkah awal penghematan energi pada bangunan dan peningkatan kinerja pengguna. Untuk mencapai PASH yang baik perlu dihadirkan desain fasad yang dapat mengoptimasi PASH. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Gedung Laboratorium Fakultas Teknik Universitas Malikussaleh, Lhokseumawe, Indonesia. . Selanjutnya, studi ini mengadopsi Climate Based Daylight Modeling (CBDM) dengan metrik Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI) sebagai kriteria PASH. Metrik PASH tersebut hanya efisien dan akurat dilakukan dengan metode simulasi komputasional. Studi ini menggunakan Daysim yang merupakan mesin simulasi PASH tahunan yang dikembangkan dari mesin simulasi Radiance. Mesin simulasi tersebut diakses melalui piranti Grasshopper dan Ladybug Tools. Hasil simulasi pada lantai 1 didapat nilai rata-rata UDI <100 Lux = 27,55%, UDI 100-2000 Lux = 62,89% dan terakhir UDI >2000 = 9,51%. Sedangkan Hasil simulasi pada lantai 2 didapat nilai rata-rata UDI <100 Lux = 26,01%, UDI 100-2000 Lux = 65,56% dan terakhir UDI >2000 = 8,38%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa ruangan yang sama tidak mendapatkan PASH yaitu ruangan yang terletak di bagian dalam dan terhalangi oleh ruangan terluar. Sehingga hal ini perlu dilakukan optimasi kondisi PASH dengan cara memodifikasi desain fasad pada gedung laboratorium tersebut dengan tujuan kinerja PASH pada gedung menjadi lebih baik. Kesimpulan kategori yang didapat untuk PASH dari Gedung Laboratorium Teknik Elektro adalah 64,23% dan termasuk dalam Kategori Baik Kata kunci : Pencahayaan Alami Siang Hari; Simulasi Komputasi, Pemodelan PASH Berbasis Iklim; Desain Fasad; Iluminasi Cahaya Matahari Bermanfaat. Abstract_ Daylighting is required for a building as an initial step for energy saving and improvement of its users’ performance. To achieve good daylighting, it requires a proper façade design. This research investigated the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering building of Universitas Malikussaleh, Lhokseumawe, Indonesia. Next, this study adopted Climate Based Daylight Modeling (CBDM) utilizing Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI) metric as the criteria for the daylight performance. The metric calculation is only efficient and accurate using computational simulation. Also, this study utilized Daysim, the Radiance derivative, as the annual daylight simulation engine. The engine was accessible through the interface of Grasshopper and Ladybug Tools. The simulation results on the 1st floor obtained an average value of UDI <100 Lux = 27.55%, UDI 100-2000 Lux = 62.89% and UDI> 2000 = 9.51%. While the simulation results on the 2nd floor obtained an average value of UDI <100 Lux = 26.01%, UDI 100-2000 Lux = 65.56% and UDI> 2000 = 8.38%. Results showed several internal spaces had not obtained the daylight at all caused by its adjacent perimeter spaces that blocked the daylight. Therefore, it is required to optimize the façade design of the building by altering the façade of the laboratorium building for better daylight performance inside the spaces. The conclusion of the category obtained for PASH from investigated the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering building is 64,23% and is included in the good category Keywords: Daylighting; Computational Simulation; Climate Based Daylight Modeling; Facade Design; Useful Daylight Illuminance.
