Abstract

Aceh is one of the regions in Indonesia.Aceh is known as "Seurambi Meukkah," which has a diverse character and identity, starting from the language, the proverbs, and the cultures passed for generations.Aceh cultural character education is close to Islamic Sharia, which has applied for a long time.However, in reality, in the school environment, violence still exists in schools; for instance, being pinched, beaten, cursed, and bullying. The subjects in this study were high school students in Aceh who were randomly randomized and selected students who were true were native Acehnese. In this study, researchers needed 35 students. The results of this study indicated that out of 50 items, 39 items were valid, 11 items have been dropped, that the coefficient ? is at the significance level, 05>, 282 and a Cronbach alpha coefficient value of 0.932 was obtained. Based on the benchmark in interpreting the degree by using the degree of reliability, the alpha Cronbach value was 0.814, so that the Aceh cultural character education inventory could be said reliable.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the contribution of self-concept to career planning. The study is to be descriptive with population class XI and XII in SMAN 1 V Koto Timur which totaled 272 students with samples of the study amounted to 162 students. The technique used in sampling uses stratified random sampling. The research instrument uses a Likert measurement scale model. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques. The research findings show that self-concept: (1) the perceptual or physical self-concept are a picture of a person associated with physical appearance being in the category of high; (2) conceptual or psychological self-concept which is also called psychological self-concept is a picture of a person of himself, his abilities or disabilities, his future, and includes the quality of his life change, honesty, self-confidence, freedom, and courage on the category of high; (3) attitudinal is a component that involves how individuals weigh their feelings about themselves about individual attitudes now and also hopes are in the high category. Students still lack self-understanding related to their future. Ideally, students who have careful planning for their careers have positive self-concepts. The successes and failures of students in determining their career planning are closely related to students 'self-understanding, students' understanding of the environment and career information obtained from career guidance in their schools.

Abstract

The deviations of sexual behavior are the behavior or behaviour that is not necessarily done by each individual in the course of teenagers as humans who are experiencing the transition or transitioning as not in accordance with the norms Applicable, whether it is religious norms, customs and legal norms. Nowadays, there have been many sexual behavior deviations done by the teenagers such as holding hands with the opposite sex, embracing, kissing, and even having intercourse like a husband and wife. Sexual behavior deviations are caused by internal and external factors. Internal factors can occur due to the sexual arousal that occurs in the age of adolescence and want to channel it to the opposite sex, while external factors can occur due to the environment that makes adolescents commit sexual behavior irregularities, as there are pornographic sites seen by teenagers, then they demonstrate with the opposite sex and lack the education. The purpose of this research is to look at the adolescent perception relationship about the maturity of reproductive tools with sexual behavior deviations. This study uses propotional stratiefied random sampling techniques. Based on research done, it was found that there was a significant link between juvenile perception of the maturity of reproductive tools and sexual behavior deviations.

Abstract

Contribution of academic self-concept and parental social support to learning motivation. This research is motivated by the low student motivation. Academic self-concept and parental social support are thought to have an effect on student motivation. This study aims to describe: (1) academic self-concept, (2) parental social support, (3) student learning motivation, (4) Contribution of academic self-concept to student learning motivation, (5) contribution of parental social support to student learning motivation , and (6) the contribution of academic self-concept and parents' social support together on learning motivation. This research uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The study population was students of class X and XI at SMKN 6 Padang, totaling 983 students, a sample of 284 students, who were selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that academic self-concept and parental social support together have a significant effect on learning motivation at SMKN 6 Padang by 64.5%. The implications of the results of this study can be used as a needs analysis in making Guidance and Counseling service programs at SMKN 6 Padang.

Abstract

Guru merupakan salah satu unsur terpenting dalam perwujudan kurikulum. Guru yang secara langsung berhubungan dengan objek pendidikan yaitu siswa. Individual siswa memiliki perbedaan yang unik. Perbedaan individu ini mencakup banyak hal yang terdiri dari fisik, tingkat intelegensi, kepribadian, psikologi, perbedaan kecakapan bahasa dan Gaya Belajar. Sebagai calon guru sekolah dasar, aspek ini sangat penting dipahami karena perbedaan individual ini akan terlihat dengan jelas ketika SD. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi kepustakaan untuk mengetahui pentingnya pemahaman individual differences bagi calon guru sekolah dasar. Untuk itu, mata kuliah yang diberikan sebagai dasar dalam pemahaman perbedaan individual ini seharusnya menjadi perhatian penting bagi calon guru khususnya sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Homosexuality is defined as romantic attraction, sexual attraction, or sexual behavior between the same sex or gender. Gay is one of the sexual disorders where man is attracted to other straight or gay man. Mostly, teenagers are unaware of this current emerging phenomenon. So, some may get involved or even dragged into this crisis which will lead them to miserable mental state. Their lack of knowledge about the concept and detrimental effect of gay behavior is also the main concern. Hence, a preventive approach should be taken to hinder teenagers, especially male students, from the negative outcome of gay behavior through guidance and counselling program. The paper followed the procedure in descriptive research design. The research population was all public high school students in Padang and there were 100 respondents which was chosen through purposive sampling. Based on the research findings, 15 students (15%) responded in the highest scale, extremely concerned. 23 students (23) were moderately concerned. 58 students (58%) seemed in uncertainty. 4 students (4%) were at loss or slightly concerned facing this crisis. In brief, most students had low awareness of this crisis. Thus, their understanding in gay behavior must be enhanced. The aid offered to help them protect themselves is providing information about the concept of gay behavior, gay characteristics, the causes of gay behavior, the impact of being a homosexual man and how they find a sexual partner through guidance and counseling program.

Abstract

Adolescents are at risk and need serious attention, especially in sexuality in the development of adolescent life. Premarital sexual in Indonesia from time to time is very worrying. Nowadays teens consider premarital sexual as a normal and normal thing to do. Adolescent attitudes affect the behavior carried out.This study reveals the relationship of self-control with attitudes toward premarital sexual initiation of adolescence. This study uses the correlational method and data collected from a sample of 277 students, which were found using proportional random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a self-control scale (23 valid items, = 0.876), and a scale of adolescent attitudes about pre-wedding sexual behavior (25 valid items = 0.913). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, because to describe the object studied through the sample as it is. The results show that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-control and attitudes towards premarital sexual initiation of adolescence. It can be concluded that the higher the self control of students eating the lower the attitude of students towards premarital sexual initiation of adolescence.

Abstract

Underlying this present study was the importance of increasing the learning motivation of students who were expelled from previous schools. Self-concept and parental support were considered as the factors affecting learning motivation of the students who were expelled from previous schools. The aimed of this study was to reveal the contribution of self-concept and parental support towards the learning motivation of the students who were expelled from their previous schools. This study used a descriptive correlation-quantitative method. The population of the study were the 11th and 12th grade students in Sungai Penuh City, which numbered 2666 in total. The samples of the study were 62 students, taken by purposive sampling technique, namely students who were expelled from the previous schools. The instrument used was a Likert scale. The research findings showed that self-concept and parental support respectively and simultaneously had a significant contribution to the learning motivation of the students who were expelled from their previous school.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying in Indonesia is very worrying for the development of teenagers’ life. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The design used was a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The data were collected from 33 students as the sample of this study taken by using a purposive sampling technique. The experimental group was divided into 3 groups, namely group A, group B and group C. Each group consisted of 11 members. The data were collected by using a questionnaire students’ BMB3 conditions about bullying (55 valid items = 0.889). Data were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon signed rank test with the help of SPSS version 20.00 to measure the differences between two paired groups on ordinal data. The findings of the study showed that intelligent character education-group format was effective for improving the conditions about thinking, feeling, behaving, acting, and being responsible for the students against bullying so it can prevent bullying behavior.

Abstract

Some aspects that are thought to be factors that cause success or failure of students in obtaining good learning outcomes are the ability of students to deal with and solve problems they experience (adversity quotient). The purpose of this study was to look at the effect of adversity quotient (AQ) on student learning outcomes of students and their implications in guidance and counseling services. Based on the results of the study it was found that adversity quotient give contributed to student learning outcomes. The implications of the results of this study can be used as an analysis of the needs of students in the preparation of Guidance and Counseling service programs in schools, especially at Muhammadiyah Middle School in Padang.
