Abstract

Children with special needs are children who need the same education and services as other children, so that they can realize that every human being must have advantages. One of the problems of children with special needs is their low self-esteem. Therefore, the problem to be studied in this research is, "Analysis self-esteem of children with special needs in Padang and its implications in guidance counseling". This type of research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study were 4 children with special needs and 8 informants. The research instruments used in this study were interview guidelines, observation and documentation. The results showed that, self-esteem of children with special needs in the aspect of self-liking was in the low category and the self-esteem in the self-competence aspect is in the medium category. The concluded is every child with special needs has a different self-esteem.

Abstract

Perilaku bullying merupakan suatu perilaku agresif yang dilakukan seseorang atau kelompok kepada orang lain baik secara fisik, verbal, dan sosial/relasional yang dilakukan secara berulang-ulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perilaku bullying pada siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 112 orang siswa, dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling dan ditetapkan sebanyak populasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan intrumen perilaku bullying dengan model skala likert. Data diolah menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku bullying pada siswa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang (58,93%). Hasil penelitian perilaku bullying pada siswa dapat dilihat dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) perilaku bullying fisik berada pada kategori sedang (50,00%) (2) perilaku  bullying verbal berada pada kategori sedang (51,79%) (3) perilaku bullying sosial/relasional berada pada kategori sedang (60,71%).

Abstract

Procrastination still occurs in the world of education, including in students who excel. Students tend to procrastinate in doing assignments and prefer to participate in other activities. Factors that cause academic procrastination are: (1) internal factors, namely: factors that come from within the individual, and (2) external factors, namely: factors that come from outside the individual. This study aims to describe the factors that cause academic procrastination in students who excel academically at SMPN 30 Padang. The results showed that the factors behind the high procrastination of doing assignments in students who excel academically are: (1) internal factors are in the low category with a percentage of 36%, (2) external factors are in the medium category with a percentage of 36%. Based on the results of this study, guidance and counseling services that can be provided to reduce academic procrastination to students who excel academically are content mastery services, individual counseling services, and group guidance services.

Abstract

A phenomenon that is currently occurring among teenagers, especially students, is hedonism behavior. One factor that can influence hedonism behavior is self-control. The lack of self-control possessed by students is the cause of hedonism behavior. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-control and students' hedonism behavior in using the marketplace. This research is a type of descriptive and correlational quantitative research. The results of this study show that (1) self-control is in the medium category (57.34%), (2) hedonism behavior is in the medium category (84.17%), (3) The results of the correlation analysis show a negative and significant relationship between self-control (X) with hedonism behavior (Y) with a calculated r value of -0.954 with a significance level of <0.001 at a medium relationship level. Based on the research results, guidance and counseling teachers/counselors can provide assistance to prevent and overcome hedonism behavior by providing information services, individual counseling services and group guidance services.
