Abstract

Warunk Upnormal merupakan sebuah tempat makan di Kota Bandung yang saat ini menjadi tren anak muda Bandung untuk nongkrong menghabiskan waktu bersama teman sambil bersantap menu-menu yang spesial. Warunk Upnormal juga sebagai warung pertama di Indonesia yang menghadirkan konsep warung indomie dengan kemasan kekinian (Pelopor Warunk Indomie Kekinian). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan pembentukan brand awareness Warunk Indomie Up advertorial online normal melalui food blogger di Kota Bandung. Bagaimana peran food blogger dalam menarik perhatian, menciptakan pemahaman konsumen, dan menciptakan ingatan konsumen mengenai Warunk Indomie Upnormal. Metode penelitianyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara terstruktur, observasi partisipasi pasif, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek menarik perhatian yaitu dengan menceritakan pengalaman yang jujur, mengutamakan isi konten, menyelipkan meme lucu, dan komentar positif dari pembaca. Aspek menciptakan pemahaman yaitu dengan mencantumkan informasi yang jelas, memberi keterangan pada setiap foto, bahasa yang disesuaikan dengan target pembaca dan menceritakan keunikan Warunk Upnormal. Aspek menciptakan ingatan yaitu dengan penyebaran informasi mulut ke mulut, meng-upload advertorial online dan kuis, menceritakan kepuasan, dan membuat promosi unik dan menarik. Saran sebaiknya ulasan Warunk Upnormal menampilkan foto yang lebih variatif dan inovatif dibandingkan review tempat makan lain, dan dalam membentuk ingatan sebaiknya menu utama indomie yang lebih sering ditampilkan dibandingkan menu-menu lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses repositioning, renaming, redesigning, dan relaunching Grand Indonesia oleh Departemen Marketing Communication PT Grand Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Grand Indonesia yang terletak di Menara BCA Lantai 37, Jalan MH. Thamrin No. 1 Jakarta Pusat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Grand Indonesia dalam melakukan proses rebranding melalui empat tahap. Pertama, repositioning dengan perubahan target market dan konsep mal. Kedua, renaming perusahaan yang semula Grand Indonesia Shopping Town menjadi Grand Indonesia. Ketiga, redesigning elemen tangible dan visual lainnya, seperti logo, iklan, alat tulis kantor, merchandise, dan interior serta eksterior mal. Keempat, relaunching konsep dan brand baru berupa publikasi secara implisit kepada publik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pada tahap repositioning, perubahan target market yang menjadi fokus rebranding direncanakan dengan matang dengan upaya pergantian tenant dan konsep mal. Pada tahap renaming dan redesigning yang berupa perubahan nama dan logo disesuaikan dengan baik berdasarkan konsep baru mal. Namun, tahap relaunching yang menjadi akhir dari proses rebranding belum optimal, dikarenakan masih banyak publik yang belum mengetahui proses rebranding Grand Indonesia tersebut. Saran pada penelitian ini adalah agar manajemen segera merampungkan pergantian tenant yang sesuai dengan target market baru, membenahi persepsi publik mengenai nama dan logo baru Grand Indonesia yang kerap masih salah, dan mengadakan tahap relaunching secara resmi agar publik mengetahui secara pasti mengenai proses rebranding yang dilakukan, serta dibutuhkan publikasi yang menarik dan konsisten agar mampu meningkatkan awareness publik terhadap perusahaan.

Abstract

The development of communication and information technology supports the use of various media to convey messages or information to the public. Therefore, the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia, as one of the largest institutions in Indonesia, is expected to be proactive in utilizing new media to utilize information. Various new policies will be implemented, including using the NCO as the spearhead of public communication in this digital era. However, these non-commissioned officers are uncomfortable sitting in their position as public relations officers who act as police communicators with digital technology that accompanies their work. This study explores the adaptation process carried out by young non-commissioned officers who manage police communications through social media and the obstacles they face in the adaptation process. To explore these activities, the researchers will use two theories: technological adaptation and the Social Construction of Technology. This research is a case study research with the descriptive data type. Data collection is based on interviews, observation, and also documentation. The results and discussion of this research show that public relations personnel at the West Java Police must adapt because they do not have a qualified educational background in public relations, especially communication in the digital era. SOPs and management for communication depend on what the leader is inclined to do. Public Relations personnel attended training from within the police organization. However, the training cannot improve their abilities in the short term. Ensuring that our Regional Police have SOPs in managing social media and conducting training could be the problem-solving needed.

Abstract

Background: The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs created an advertising campaign for the “Makan Bergizi Gratis” Program. This advertisement drew much criticism from netizens because it used generative AI. Netizens considered the use of AI disrespectful to local animators and Indonesia’s creative industry. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the network and classification of comments on the AI-generated advertisement of “Makan Bergizi Gratis” released on YouTube by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. Methods: This study adopted a quantitative-qualitative (mixed method) approach with two methodological tools: social network analysis and content analysis. Results: Comments on the advertisement of “Makan Bergizi Gratis” are dominated by argumentative, critical comments directed at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. In this criticism, netizens expressed disappointment due to the use of generative AI in the advertisement, which devalued animators and human-made animation works. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of the comments, netizens are divided into three groups: individuals who understand that the advertisement is AI-generated and call it generative AI; individuals who understand that the advertisement is AI-generated and call it AI animation; and individuals who call it animation. The researchers also concluded that Indonesians are struggling to distinguish between animation, generative AI, and AI. Implications: Policymakers, communication practitioners, and academics must share the vision that the development and use of generative AI require a strong framework of communication ethics to guide responsible practices. This research could also be an evaluation source for the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. It could trigger all creative industry players in Indonesia to formulate a code of ethics for using generative AI in Indonesia.
