Abstract

In-service teachers are required to fulfill responsibilities for administrative and non-administrative stuffs. However, there are some teachers who developed English materials in the form of textbooks for young learners. These teachers were involved in this study on developing English materials for elementary school students. This research is aimed at revealing the in-service teachers’ problems in developing the materials into English textbooks for young learners and their solutions. This research involved seven in-service teacher authors developing English textbooks in some private elementary schools in Yogyakarta city. It applied qualitative research method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire containing open-ended questions. It revealed the data on the teachers’ profiles, the teachers’ problems in developing English textbooks and their solutions. The data were put into categories to help achieve the research objectives. From the study, it was found out that the problems in developing English materials are related to the material selection, language points suitable for young learners, presentation of the materials. The research subjects set these strategies to solve the problems faced during the materials development by sharing and discussion, supervision, finding other existing resources, and creating their own materials. The finding highlights that examples of materials and various forms of material presentation need to be exposed to teacher authors as well as to pre-service teachers and other textbook authors to help them develop better teaching materials.

Abstract

Due to Covid-19, virtual learning at all education levels has been implemented. Storytelling is one of the courses conducted online. The aim of this study is to find out the students’ perceptions on the importance of storytelling, the tasks in an online class of storytelling, and the advantages of learning outcome of online storytelling. This research is qualitative. The data were collected from a storytelling class in an English Education Department in Yogyakarta. They were obtained from an open-ended question questionnaire and interview with 22 students who have attended in storytelling online class. The results show that the students have positive perceptions on storytelling in language teaching. Two of the tasks supporting the storytelling are students’ video recording for storytelling and creating new stories. In relation to the learning outcome, the students’ views that it is advantageous to enhance speaking skills and it results in the learning product such as a story book. This study can be taken into account to improve quality, policies, and program development in English Education Department.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the intrinsic motivation of students in participating in the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at the Pondok Darut Tauhid Pesantren Zainul Hasan Genggong. The main focus of the study is how internal motivation such as love for the Qur'an, the desire to gain Allah's pleasure, and the spirit of achieving personal achievement play a role in the success of the tahfidz program. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of students who are active in the tahfidz program. Data analysis was carried out descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing meaning from field findings. The results of the study indicate that intrinsic motivation of students has a significant role in the sustainability and achievement of memorizing the Qur'an. Students who have strong internal motivation tend to be more consistent, disciplined, and have higher resilience in facing challenges during the memorization process. In addition, the supportive pesantren environment and the role of ustadz in providing spiritual guidance also strengthen this motivation. This finding provides an illustration that the success of the tahfidz program is not only determined by the teaching method, but is also greatly influenced by the strength of motivation from within the students themselves.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis flipbook digital untuk mata pelajaran Akuntansi di kelas X SMK. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE, yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan bahan ajar, pembuatan, implementasi, serta evaluasi. Flipbook digital ini dilengkapi dengan elemen interaktif seperti teks, gambar, video, dan latihan soal untuk membantu siswa memahami materi dengan lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini tidak hanya memudahkan pemahaman materi, tetapi juga meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan penilaian para ahli, media ini memenuhi standar kelayakan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas soal pilihan ganda berbasis HOTS menggunakan software Anates versi 4.0.9. for Windows yang terdiri dari 15 soal. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel terdiri dari 30 siswa/i kelas 10 SMK Jurusan Akuntansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 14 butir soal memiliki kriteria mudah dan sangat mudah, 1 soal kriteria sedang, 0 butir soal memiliki kriteria susah. Analisis daya pembeda menunjukkan 10% soal kategori baik, 40% kategori cukup baik, dan 50% kategori kurang baik. Analisis efektivitas pengecoh terdapat soal yang baik sebesar 80%, soal yang direvisi 0% dan soal yang tidak baik sebesar 20%. Hasil analisis validitas dikategorikan soal yang valid berjumlah 10 soal dan 5 soal tidak valid. Koefisien Reliabilitas sebesar 0,91 sehingga soal ini reliabel atau memiliki nilai reliabilitas yang sangat tinggi. Rata-rata skor analisis soal adalah 12,03; simpang baku sebesar 3,39 dan korelasi XY sebesar 0,83.

Abstract

The demand on using English as a means of communication is still a challenge for learners of English as a foreign language. The objectives of this study are finding out students’ difficulties in learning English speaking and the factors causing students' difficulties in learning English speaking. This study is descriptive qualitative. The data were obtained through interview. The research involved 10 students of the second semester of high school in a muslim school, in the South of Thailand. The results of the research showed that the students had difficulties in learning English speaking. In addition, they also have difficulty in pronunciation. Some sounds are difficult for students to produce. This was caused by internal and external factors. The internal factors include motivation, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, fluency, shyness and also lack of self-confidence. It made students difficult to speak English. The external factors include the environment, teacher, the facility and the students’ lack of the opportunity to use English.

Abstract

Students' learning strategies are part of teaching and learning success concerns, including in the online grammar class. The research objectives are to describe students' strategies in learning grammar through online grammar classes and to find out the students' problems and solutions in learning grammar online. This research is mixed-method where the data are collected through questionnaires and interviews. One hundred twenty-three students completed the questionnaire, and twelve students were involved in the interview sessions. All respondents are from the English Education Department. The result shows that the students used all learning strategies; memory, cognitive, compensation, metacognitive, affective, and social strategies). However, the highest percentage of the learning strategy employed by the students is cognitive strategies (18.30%), while the least is affective strategies (14.76%). Moreover, students learning grammar online face various problems; an unstable internet connection, having no friends to practice together, difficulty in vocabulary, the lecturer's teaching methods, and punctuality issues.

Abstract

Urgensitas teknik, metode dan model dalam pembelajarn mutlak diberlakukan sebagai mediator bagaimana peserta didik terutama pada anak usia dini mampu mengembangkan serta mengkontruksi sebuah pengalaman dan pengetahuan dimiliki untuk mencapai sebuah tujuan instruksional pendidikan, sehingga isi sebuah materi menjadi penting untuk tersampaikan, namun tidak kalah penting adalah metodhologi dalam sebuah penyampaian materi tersebut sebagai batas dan standar materi waktu yang harus disampaikan kepada anak. Inilah substansi efektifitas yang menghasilkan efisiensi serta tolok ukur dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran yang sesuai psikologi seluruh anak bisa menerima, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran untuk anak bisa tercapai dan inilah proses pembelajaran yang mutlak dilaksanakan dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

Motorik kasar anak usia 3-4 tahun rata-rata ditahap masih berkembang. Agar motorik kasar anak berkembang dengan baik, salah satunya dengan kegiatan senam. Oleh karena itu, implementasikan senam anak sholeh dalam mengembangkan motorik kasar anak perlu diterapkan terhadap anak usia dini. penelitian ini mendeskripsikan proses implementasi senam anak sholeh di PG Muslimat Buana Wedoro dengan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sekaligus menggunakan dua teknik analisis data mendeskripsikan proses implementasi atau penerapan senam anak sholeh dalam mengembangkan motorik kasar anak, kemudian membandingkan motorik kasar anak saat sebelum diterapkan senam anak sholeh dan sesudah diterapkan senam anak sholeh. Implementasi senam anak sholeh dalam mengembangkan motorik kasar anak usia 3-4 tahun di PG Muslimat Buana Wedoro memiliki tiga tahapan, yakni tahapan pembuka atau pemanasan, tahapan inti, dan tahapan penutup atau pendinginan. Dalam tahapan pembuka perlu dipersiapkan baik dari segi faslitas dan terutama pengamatan terhadap tingkat kemampuan motorik kasar anak, dalam tahapan inti perlu menyusun dan menyiapkan RPPH, Mencari dan mendownload musik senam anak sholeh di YouTube, Berlatih sebelum memberikan contoh kepada anak dan dalam tahap penutup menyiapkan lembar observasi penilaian siswa. Pentinya administrasi dalam perkembangan peserta didik mutlak adanya, sebagai bentuk evaluasi dini dan revisi pada tahap selanjutnya.

Abstract

Pencapaian perkembangan ketrampilan kognitif anak, guru harus mengetahui tahapan perkembangan membaca dan mengenal angka anak.Pemberian stimulus perkembangan bahasa anak khususnya di RAM NU 89 Al Muniroh 3 Pangkahkulon Ujungpangkah Gresik diberikan sesuaidengan tingkat usianya. Pentingnya permainan menggunakan media gelasangka diberikan agar anak dapat membaca dengan senang dan mudah sehingga tujuan pembelajaran tercapai. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan berlandaskan hasil observasi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyampaian yang mudah, sederhana dapat diajarkan melalui bermain, pengenalan huruf dan angka menjadi responsif bagi perkembangan otak mereka, bukan hanya buku atau memperkenalkan katakata tetapi sekaligus di iringi dengan nada atau intonasi yang lembutkepada mereka dan dengan suasana yang menyenangkan. Oleh karena itukegembiraan dan suasana yang menyenangkan adalah kunci keberhasilan kegiatan belajar membaca dan berhitung. Penerapan media gelas angka,membangun pemahaman peserta didik terhadap lambang bilangan 1-10, hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya efektifitas peserta didik pada saat menghafal mengenal lambang bilangan 1-10, yaitu dari MB (MulaiBerkembang) hingga BSB (Berkembang Sangat Baik).
