Abstract

Standardization of 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke) and waste elimination (Muda) are the 3 main pillars of gemba Kaizen in improvement with a common sense and low cost approach. Dirty and unkempt machines, dirty work environment are some of the problems faced by PT. XYZ. All of this causes a waste of both cost and time. Poor workplace management can also lead to waste. Discipline and morale of the workers are also one of the problems that exist in PT. XYZ. Lack of awareness and discipline of employees can be seen in the ongoing production activities. This study uses a case study method which is part of an interactive qualitative research method that applies the 5S concept in solving problems and uses a linear regression test which aims to determine the significant effect of the simultaneous and dominant 5S Kaizen concept on the work effectiveness of PT. XYZ. The results showed that the concept of Kaizen 5S simultaneously had a significant effect on work effectiveness. While the variables that have the most dominant influence on work effectiveness.

Abstract

The goal of MSME Farida Snack and APHE is to develop skin crackers that are more valuable in the perspective of customers. Taking into account that the COVID-19 pandemic is still causing economic instability today. Because of this, MSME participants must conduct strategic analysis in order to continue operating their business. With the intention of strengthening the MSME strategy through this research. Utilizing study locations in Karawang Regency, a SWOT analysis was undertaken. The research findings based on Swot analysis and actionable recommendations. Thus, using the S-O (Strength-Opportunities), W-O (Weaknesses-Opportunities), S-T (Strength-Threat), and W-T (Weaknesses-Threat) data, a SWOT matrix was created. In order to generate alternative strategies, the SWOT matrix attempts to match opportunities and threats as an external aspect encountered by firms with weaknesses as internal factors. The SWOT matrix, which is a matrix of nine cells each holding four potential cell methods, is used in the study. Next, the study's development took the outcomes of the IFE and EFE analyses into consideration. Next, using the findings of the IE analysis, the position and state of MSMEs.

Abstract

AbstrakSampah merupakan bagian benda yang tidak dapat digunakan kembali oleh manusia, sehingga setelah digunakan akan dibuang. Sejumlah warga di salah satu desa tengah melakukan kerja sama untuk membakar sampah-sampah yang sudah menumpuk. Namun dari hasil pembakaran tersebut malah terjadinya pencemaran terhadap udara. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan saat ini, mencoba untuk mencari tahu bagaimana cara pembakaran sampah dengan polusi asap yang minim. Sehingga dirasa penerapan alat yang akan dilakukan dapat mengurangi jumlah polusi asap yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah perancangan alat pembakaran sampah yang berlokasi di Desa Malangsari, dirancang agar tidak menimbulkan banyak asap. Maka ramah lingkungan dan tidak terganggu dengan pencemaran udara dikemudian hari. Hasil alat tersebut ketika asap yang masuk dari hasil pembakaran sampah akan menyatu dengan air, sehingga saat terjadi proses pembakaran air yang ada di dalam alat akan semakin bertambah. Selain itu, alat pembakaran sampah ini lebih ekonomis dibandingkan yang lainnya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat tidak memerlukan sampah dibawa ke Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA). Kata kunci: polusi asap; sampah; tempat pembuangan akhir. AbstractWaste is a part of objects that cannot be reused by humans, so that after use will be removed. A number of residents in one of the villages are working together to burn the garbage that has piled up. However, from the combustion results, the occurrence of pollution to the air. The purpose of community service is done at this time, trying to find out how to burn garbage with minimal smoke pollution. So that the application of the tools to be carried out can reduce the amount of smoke pollution produced. The method used is the design of garbage burning equipment located in Malangsari Village, designed so as not to cause much smoke. Then environmentally friendly and not disturbed by air pollution in the future. The results of the tool when the smoke that enters from the combustion of garbage will be integrated with water, so that during the process of burning water in the device it will increase. In addition, this garbage burning tool is more economical than the others. It can be concluded that the community does not need garbage to be taken to a landfill (TPA). Keywords: smoke pollution; rubbish; landfills.

Abstract

Abstrak Kehadiran limbah organik dari kegiatan domestik dan limbah cangkang kerang merupakan salah satu persoalan yang ada di masyarakat Desa Tambaksari yang berada di daerah pesisir. Persoalan ini menimbulkan dampak negatif pada masyarakat seperti timbulnya bau busuk dan lingkungan menjadi kurang bersih. Perlu dilakukan solusi yang tepat untuk mengurangi masalah tersebut dengan membuat eco-enzym dari limbah organik dan membuat kerajinan dari limbah cangkang kerang. Pelaksanaan terdiri dari 3 tahap dalam setiap kegiatan yaitu persiapan, sosialisasi, dan pelatihan. Persiapan dilakukan untuk mengetahui permasalahan desa, sosialisasi untuk memberikan dan meningkatkan pengetahuan, dan pelatihan untuk memberikan ketrampilan bagi warga desa. Pembuatan eco-enzym telah sukses meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mencapai 91,66% dan keterampilan pelatihan mencapai 87,5%. Kegiatan pembuatan kerajinan limbah cangkang kerang peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat mencapai 90,56% dan keterampilan pelatihan mencapai 85,71%. Warga desa telah berhasil secara mandiri membuat eco-enzym dan kerajinan kerang sebagai wujud pengolahan sampah secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci:  eco-enzym; kerajinan kerang; pengolahan sampah. Abstract The presence of organic waste from domestic activities and shellfish shells is one of the issues faced by the community of Tambaksari Village, which is located in the coastal area. This issue has negative impacts on the community, such as the emergence of foul odors and a decrease in environmental cleanliness. It is necessary to implement the right solutions to reduce the problem by creating eco-enzymes from organic waste and making crafts from marine debris. The implementation consists of 3 stages in each activity, namely preparation, socialization, and training. Preparation to find out village problems, socialization to provide and improve knowledge, and training to provide skills for villagers. The production of eco-enzymes has successfully increased community knowledge to 91.66% and training skills to 87.5%. The activity of making crafts from shell waste has seen an average increase in community knowledge to 90.56% and training skills to 85.71%. The villagers have independently produced Ecoenzymes and shell crafts as a form of sustainable waste management. Keywords: eco-enzym; shell craft; waste management.

Abstract

Desa Malangsari merupakan sebuah desa yang terletak di kecamatan Pedes Kabupaten Karawang dengan luas wilayah 301 Ha yang terdiri dari tanah sawah seluas 292 Ha dan tanah darat sebesar 9.85 Ha. Salah satu permasalahan yang menjadi prioritas adalah rusaknya infrastruktur jalan Desa. Jalan ini berfungsi sebagai salah satu akses untuk mendistribusikan hasil pertanian. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas, dibutuhkan suatu perencanaan yang baik dalam penanganan infrastruktur jalan Desa Malangsari Kabupaten Karawang. Sosialisasi usulan desain perbaikan jalan dilakukan dengan cara penyuluhan kepada perangkat Desa dan juga perwakilan Masyarakat setempat. Hal ini dikarenakan pemerintah Desa mempunyai program Pembangunan fisik seperti jalan, sehingga dibutuhkan adanya pengembangan kompetensi bagi perangkat Desa untuk mengetahui desain konstruksi jalan yang sesuai dengan kondisi di lapangan. Langkah – langkah yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini diantaranya; 1) Pengambilan sample tanah 2) Membuat desain konstruksi jalan 3) Melakukan observasi awal 4) Melakukan penyuluhan terkait usulan desain konstruksi jalan 5)Melakukan observasi. Dari hasil observasi lapangan dan uji laboratorium yang dilakukan, didapatkan nilai indeks plastisitas sebesar 47% dan jenis tanah tergolong kedalam tanah lempung ekspansif. Usulan desain lapisan jalan yang diberikan yaitu dengan menambahkan batu kapur sebagai lapisan jalan diatas tanah dasar atau menambahakan lapisan membran. Dari hasil wawancara awal kepada perangkat desa, Sebagian besar belum mengetahui pengetahuan dasar seputar infrastruktur jalan. Dengan adanya kegiatan penyuluhan terkait desain infrastruktur jalan ini  dapat meningkatkan wawasan bagi Perangkat Desa mengenai Desain konstruksi jalan diatas tanah lempung ekspansif, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil wawancara akhir dengan nilai rata-rata peningkatan pengetahuan meningkat sebesar 51,25%.

Abstract

The rapid development of the industrial world has made it a necessity for companies to compete with their competitors. Therefore, companies must control the quality of their products well, one of which is by analyzing defective products. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of defects in Toolbox products produced by PT KSKB and provide improvement suggestions to reduce the level of defects in PT KSKB Toolbox products. This research uses data on the number of productions and the number of defective products obtained through field observations and interview processes. The method used in this research is the Seven Tools and Kaizen Five-M Checklist method of improvement analysis. Based on the data processing results, there are three types of defects in Toolbox products: burrs, materials with holes, and cutting with no precision. The most frequent type of defect is burrs (an uneven surface of the object due to the working process), with a value of 52.12%. Meanwhile, from the analysis of the Kaizen Five-M Checklist, periodic training (training and OJT) needs to be conducted for employees, routine machine maintenance needs to be carried out, standard operating procedures need to be evaluated, and work areas need to be evaluated to create a safe and comfortable working environment so that the level of product defects can be reduced.

Abstract

PT WCD is a manufacturing company that operates in the Integrated Security Printing and System industry, producing Documents Security as its main product. In the production process, the company still faces several issues related to defective products, which affect production efficiency, quality costs, and customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the main causes of defects in the Documents Security printing process and to provide suitable improvement suggestions. The method used in this research is Six Sigma with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) stages. Production data and the number of defective products during 2024 were analyzed using several statistical tools, including P-Chart, Pareto Diagram, and Fishbone Diagram. The results show that the most common defects are blobor, stains, and miss register. Based on the data analysis, the average DPMO value is 71,064 with a sigma level of 2.92, which indicates that the current process performance is still below the expected quality standard. Improvement proposals are prepared based on root cause analysis using the 5W + 1H method, along with the implementation of control plans and the use of batch cards to monitor production quality. The use of the DMAIC method in this research proves to be effective in identifying the key factors causing defects and reducing the defect rate, while also helping to improve the efficiency of the production process at PT WCD. Abstract

The rapid growth of the industrial sector in Indonesia highlights the importance of occupational health and safety, particularly in industries involving heavy physical activities such as painting services. This study aims to evaluate the working postures of paint warehouse operators at PT XYZ using the Ovako Work Posture Analysis System (OWAS) method to assess ergonomic risks in manual handling activities. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive observational design through direct observation of lifting, moving, and arranging paint cans. The results indicate that most working postures pose a high risk of musculoskeletal disorders, especially during lifting and moving activities, which were classified as high-risk categories according to OWAS. The study also found that simple improvements, such as adjusting work tables and improving lifting techniques, can effectively reduce injury risks. Overall, this research provides recommendations for posture improvement to enhance worker well-being and company productivity, while serving as a basis for designing a safer and healthier work environment.
