Abstract

Powtoon is an software  animation video that can be accessed online, contains simple and interesting animations, and provides music facilities and can record narration. This study aims to determine the feasibility of an animated video powtoon based on the results of an inventory of macroscopic fungi found in the Sekadau Mount Protection Forest, Sambas Regency. The research instrument used is a validation sheet, which includes aspects of format, content, language, simplicity, illustrations, media quality, and attractiveness. This type of research is research and development with the Plomp model. The results showed that the validation of the animated video powtoon was carried out by five validators with a CVI (Content Validity Index) value of 0.99 which was declared feasible. Based on the validation results, it can be concluded that the animated powtoon video in the class X high school mushroom classification submaterial is declared suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a flash flipbook as learning media followed by testing its validity and reliability. The development model used is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) which is focused on the first 3 stages, namely Analyze, Design, and Development. Validation activities include instrument validation by 2 validators using the Guttman scale and media validation by 5 validators with 4 rating scales based on the Likert scale. Validation is done by filling out a closed questionnaire. Flash flipbook media validation assesses 3 aspects, namely aspects of format, content, and language. Analysis of the results of the flash flipbook validation using the Aiken's V method and the reliability test using the ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient). This study shows that the validation results with the Aiken standard of 0.87 with 1 improvement and the ICC reliability results are 0.985 in the very good category. The addition of the literatures with the latest issue can increase the feasibility of this media. This flash flipbook can provide good visualization for students so as to provide variety in learning activities.

Abstract

Students' knowledge of the diversity of sharks and rays needs to be known as a conservation effort. One of the fishing locations for sharks and rays (Subclass Elasmobranchii) in West Kalimantan, especially Pontianak, is the TPI Sungai Kakap. This study aims to determine the category of knowledge of SUPM Negeri Pontianak students about the diversity of sharks and rays in Indonesia and West Kalimantan based on data from the catch of sharks and rays (Subclass Elasmobranchii) at TPI Sungai Kakap in October 2021. This study used a survey method by conducting inventory and identification of sharks and rays (Subclass Elasmobranchii) caught by fishermen in the Sungai Kakap TPI. Then the research instrument was made in the form of a questionnaire from the results of the identification carried out. The results of the identification of sharks and rays (Subclass Elasmobranchii) obtained were 9 species, 4 families and 340 individuals. The questionnaire consists of 17 questions with 2 components, namely characteristics and diversity of species and aspects of conservation. The questionnaire made was validated and tested first. The questionnaire survey was conducted on 30 students of class XI SUPM Negeri Pontianak. The knowledge of the SUPM Negeri Pontianak students is at a value of 34 which has a medium category, meaning that their knowledge must be improved again.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the phytochemical content and potency of the ethanol extract of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) stem and red galangal rhizome (Alpinia purpurata) in inhibiting the growth of Shigella sonnei in vitro. Phytochemical testing of ethanol extract using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Antibacterial test was carried out by applying the Kirby Baeur disk diffusion method with swab technique with a series treatment of extract concentrations of 6.25%, 12.5%, 25%, 50%, positive control (tetracycline 20%), and negative control (DMSO 10%) with 5 replicates. From the results of phytochemical tests, showed that secondary metabolites of flavonoids and terpenoids were found in red galangal extract. While the lemongrass extract showed positive results for alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids and phenolic compounds. The ethanol extract of lemongrass stem and galangal rhizome potential as an antibacterial with the highest inhibitory activity obtained at a concentration of 50% in both lemongrass and galangal extracts, respectively 8.4 mm and 7 mm. The results of the antibacterial test showed that red galangal extract and lemongrass extract had phytochemical contents that could inhibited the growth of S. sonnei.

Abstract

One of activities that can involve students’ activeness in learning according to the demand of 2013 curriculum is inquiry learning. The practical and operational teaching materials that can support student learning activities are LKPD. This study aims to find out the feasibility and students' response to guided inquiry-based LKPD in Structure and Function of tissue plant for students in grade XI of SMAN 8 Pontianak. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with a development model by Borg and Gall that was conducted through several steps, there are potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product trial. Instruments used in this research are product validation sheet and students' response sheet. There were 5 validators. The result of V Aiken's analysis for aspects of content feasibility, linguistics, presentation, and graphics get an average score of 0,90, therefore it is indicated as valid. The result of students' responses gets an average score from the aspect of cognition, affection, and conation of 90,44% which is very positive. From the result that has been obtained, it can be concluded that the developed LKPD is feasible to be used as teaching materials.

Abstract

Bajakah Jie Xue Teng (Spatholobus suberectus) is an endemic plant from West Kalimantan which is the potential as a natural antimicrobial, but its antimicrobial ability has not been widely reported so that it can be tested on Micrococcus luteus bacteria which is the agent causing dandruff. The purpose of this study is to describe the phytochemical content of Jie Xue Teng (Spatholobus suberectus) bajakah ethanol extract and its potential to inhibit M. luteus in vitro. The phytochemical content of the extract was tested using the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method. The type of research is a laboratory experiment using the Kirby Baeur disk diffusion method with swab technique with a series of extract concentrations of 1000 mg/ml, 500 mg/ml, 250 mg/ml, and 125 mg/ml, positive control (30% amoxilin), and negative control (DMSO 10%) with 4 repetitions. The phytochemical content of the ethanol extract of bajakah that was tested shows secondary metabolites of steroids, flavonoids, saponins, and alkaloids. Bajakah ethanol extract has the inhibitory potential against M. luteus for all test concentrations which fall under the moderate category. The diameter of the amoxicillin inhibition zone was still larger than the extract inhibition zone.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat media pembelajaran yang interaktif pada submateri peranan bakteri SMA kelas X dengan informasi tambahan berupa uji antibakteri ekstrak daun salam pada bakteri Shigella sonnei. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) model 4D yang direduksi menjadi 3D, yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), dan develop (pengembangan). Media divalidasi oleh lima orang ahli menggunakan angket validasi dan analisis validasi diadaptasi dari Aiken’s V. Selanjutnya dilakkan uji reliabilitas dilakukan menggunakan ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient) menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Media animasi PowToon dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan nilai minimum Aiken’s V yang diperoleh sebesar 0,87 dan nilai ICC sebesar 0,799 dengan kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesepakatan antar validator dalam menilai video animasi PowToon.Kata kunci: Aiken’s V; Media Pembelajaran; Metode R&D; PowToon; BakteriDevelopment of Powtoon Media for Sub Material Role of BacterialABSTRACTThe research aimed to create interactive learning media the sub-material of the role of bacteria on the tenth grade of Senior High School with additional information in the form of antibacterial test of the bayleaf on bacteria Shigella sonnei. The media was validated by 5 experts using the validation checklist and the analysis of the validation was adapted from Aiken’s V. Futthermore, the reliability test was carried out using ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient) by SPSS software. The PowToon animation media was claimed to be usable with the minimum score of Aiken’s V obtained was 0,87, and the ICC score was 0,799 which was categorized as good. It was showed that there was an agreement among the validators in assessing the PowToon animation video.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the unavailability of activity-based electronic teaching materials in the school so that it encourages author to make teaching materials in the form of inquiry-based e-modules. This research aims to determine the feasibility of guided inquiry-based e-modules as teaching materials on fungi material class x high school. The research instrument used is a validation sheet, which includes 5 aspects of the assessment consisting of content feasibility, language, presentation, graphics and effectiveness. The method used in this study is a Research and Development method (R&D) with 3D models (define, design and development). The result of validation by 5 validators obtained a CVI value of 0.96 with a valid criteria. Based on the validation results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based e-modules can be used as teaching materials in the fungi material class X high school. abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum tersedianya bahan ajar elektronik berbasis kegiatan di sekolah, sehingga mendorong penulis untuk membuat bahan ajar berupa e-modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan e-modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing sebagai bahan ajar pada materi jamur kelas X SMA. Instrumen yang digunakan pada peneltian ini adalah lembar validasi yang terdiri dari 5 aspek penilaian yaitu, kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, kegrafisan dan keefektivan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 3D (define, design and development). Hasil validasi oleh 5 orang validator diperoleh nilai CVI (Content Vlidity Indeks) sebesar 0,96 dengan kategori layak/valid. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis inkuri terbimbing layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada materi jamur kelas X SMA. Abstract

The use of learning media and information that is less varied is the reason for the need to develop video tutorial media. This study aims to determine the development and feasibility of antibacterial test tutorial video media on the sub-material the role of bacteria in tenth grade senior high school. This research uses the Research and Development method, which is a 4D model but is limited to three stages (define, design, develop). The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and validators consisting of 5 people with 4 aspects and 25 assessment criteria. The validation results use Aiken’s V formula to calculate the validity coefficient and test its reliability using the ICC formula. The result indicate that the tutorial video can proceed to the next stage by obtaining a minimum Aiken’s V value of 0,87 and an ICC value of 0,964. Abstrak. Penggunaan media pembelajaran dan informasi yang kurang bervariasi menjadi alasan perlunya dikembangkan media video tutorial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan dan kelayakan media video tutorial uji antibakteri pada Submateri Peranan Bakteri kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development yaitu model 4D namun dibatasi dengan tiga tahap (define, design, develop). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi dengan lima validator dengan 4 aspek dan 25 kriteria penilaiannya. Hasil validasi dianalisis menggunakan formula Aiken’s V untuk dihitung koefesien validitasnya dan diuji reliabilitasnya dengan menggunakan rumus ICC. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial dinyatakan layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap selanjutnya dengan memperoleh nilai minimum Aiken’s V sebesar 0,87 dan nilai reliabilitas ICC sebesar 0,964.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how students responded to interactive PowerPoint media on the human circulatory system material in class VIII of Kristen Immanuel II Sungai Raya Middle School. The research method in this research is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this study was 10 students in class VIII of Immanuel II Sungai Raya Christian Middle School. The population in this study were all students of the Christian Immanuel II Sungai Raya Middle School. The technique used was a simple random sampling technique with a lottery system. Data collection techniques in this research include interviews, observation and questionnaires. The overall average percentage of student responses to interactive PowerPoint media was 85.68% in the very positive category. the cognitive aspect obtained an average of 85.83% in the very positive category, the affection aspect 85.42% in the very positive category, the conation aspect 85.63% in the very positive category, and the overall average was 86% in the very positive category.
