Abstract

The development of the 21st century is marked by the use of information and communication technology in all aspects of life, including in the learning process. The learning process at SMA Negeri 7 Mataram experienced problems related to the not optimal use of learning media, especially in learning physics. This development research aims to: (1) find out how to develop learning media with Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on simple harmonic vibration material. (2) determine the feasibility of learning media with Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on simple harmonic vibration material. This research is development research (R&D) with the model used as 4D Models (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The process of assessing learning media feasibility was carried out by giving questionnaires to five material expert validators and media experts. The study results were learning media products for simple harmonic vibration material with Adobe Flash Pro CS6 with the results of the assessment of six material expert validators getting an average score of 3.34 in the very feasible category. The assessment results of the six media expert validators got an average score of 3.50 in the very feasible category. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the learning media using Adobe Flash Pro CS6 for simple harmonic vibration material are declared suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of a learning device with a cognitive conflict approach that is feasible on momentum and impulse concepts. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the research model developed in 4D Models, which consisted of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The feasibility of the developed learning device is seen from the average result of the calculation of the six expert's assessment scores calculated by the device's validity and reliability. Furthermore, the distribution of response questionnaires was carried out to undergraduate students of physics education, University of Mataram, and students of class XI and XII was majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The research results based on expert judgment indicate that the results of the development of learning tools have a feasibility value with very valid and reliable criteria on the syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and the developed test instruments. The results of student and student responses show a very good response. It can be concluded that the learning device with the cognitive conflict approach is feasible to proceed to the operational trial phase in learning to improve the students' momentum and impulse problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop guided inquiry physics high school physics learning tools through an appropriate science process skill approach. The learning kit was designed using the 4-D model, followed by implementing the assessment with fellow students. Data collection was done through device validation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results obtained indicate the device's validity, including syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, and learning achievement test instruments using the CVR and CVI categorized as very valid. Reliability of learning tools that implement the syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, and test instruments using the Percentage Agreement (PA). The learning tools developed are reliable in terms of the achievement of learning indicators that have a PA value of more than 75%. Students' response is positive towards the development of learning tools. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based learning device through the science process skill approach that was developed is feasible to be used in learning activities to improve students' physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 outbreak disrupted the education sector. These conditions cause the Indonesian government to directly eliminate all face-to-face education activities, including for lecture activities in Higher Education. Alternative solutions offered are lecture activities that are carried out online by utilizing various digital platforms. This study aims to describe general studies' results related to online lectures' effectiveness by using various digital platforms, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses the descriptive content analysis study method with information sources derived from various scientific, national, and international articles, which are then analyzed and drawn conclusions to obtain recommendations as a literature study. The review results show that digital platforms such as Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Schoology, and Edmodo have a positive and effective impact in improving the quality of online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Signal constraints that are less stable and wasteful of quotas during online lectures can be circumvented by selecting and combining digital platforms to minimize these obstacles while maintaining quality and reducing online courses' essence.

Abstract

The learning process of a school in the city of Mataram still does not involve students and teachers do not pay attention to the ability to think creatively. The solution to these problems is by using learning methods that are by the demands of the 2013 Curriculum such as a conceptual change model. Based on the description above, the specific target in this study is to develop learning tools with a conceptual change model to improve students' creative thinking skills in physics as a valid product, so that it is suitable for use in learning. Learning tools developed in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, and evaluation tools for creative thinking skills. This type of research is a research and development (Research and Development) using a 4-D model which consists of 4 stages of development, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. This research is limited to the development stage, which includes the validity test. Based on the research results it can be concluded that the learning device is categorized as very valid and reliable. This means that the learning tools developed are feasible and can be used in high school physics learning.

Abstract

A common problem that occurs in students is the lack of ability to understand concepts. This is because the physics learning process does not vary. So that innovative learning design efforts are needed. One of the efforts that can be done is by using the CUPs learning model assisted by LKPD. This study aims to determine the effect of learning model Conceptual Understanding Procedures LKPD assisted towards the student’s concept mastery in physics of high school. This research is a quasi experimental research using untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 4 Mataram. While the sampling using purposive sampling technique consisting of students’ class XI IPA 4 as experimental class and students of class XI IPA 1 as a control class. The concept mastery data is obtained through a written test in the form of a description item. The result of hypothesis test analysis shows that there is influence of learning model of LKPD-assisted Conceptual Understanding Procedures toward the student’s concept mastery in physics of high school.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and influence of a PhET-assisted generative learning model on improving students' understanding of physics concepts. This research employed a quantitative approach utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using a concept understanding test and analyzed using the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) score to determine effectiveness, as well as a paired sample t-test to assess statistical significance. The results yielded an N-Gain value of 0.40, categorizing the improvement as moderate. Furthermore, the t-test analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Consequently, it can be concluded that while the PhET-assisted generative learning model significantly influences students' concept understanding, its implementation is currently classified as less effective, suggesting the need for further optimization.
