Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive learning media based on Google Sites on students' understanding of concepts. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Narmada with the research subject of students in class XI MIPA 5. The data collection instrument used to measure the effectiveness of learning media is a test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions. The analysis of the effectiveness of learning media was assessed based on the increase in pre-test and post-test results. The results showed that the average pre-test and post-test of students were obtained by 39.80 and 84.71, respectively. Based on this increase, an N-Gain test score of 0.74 was obtained, so interactive learning media based on Google Sites on students' understanding of concepts is included in the criteria and is quite effective. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, it can be concluded that interactive learning media based on Google Sites is quite effective in improving students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of a video-assisted problem-based learning (PBL) model on enhancing students' understanding of momentum and impulse concepts. The research involved all class X MIPA students from a Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in East Lombok. Purposive sampling was employed to select class X MIPA 1 as the experimental group and class X MIPA 2 as the control group. A nonequivalent control group design was utilized, with the experimental group receiving video-assisted PBL instruction and the control group receiving conventional learning. Seven indicators were used to measure concept understanding through a nine-item essay test. Data analysis using a polled variance t-test revealed that the video-assisted PBL model significantly improved students' understanding of momentum and impulse concepts.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aimed to examine the effect of implementing Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on students' creativity in physics learning. The study was conducted on eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Kediri, using a control group pretest-posttest design. The sample was selected purposively, with class XI MIPA 2 as the experimental group (receiving PjBL) and class XI MIPA 3 as the control group (receiving conventional learning). The results showed an increase in creativity in both groups, but the increase in the experimental group was significantly higher than in the control group. The hypothesis testing results confirmed that the PjBL model positively affects students' creativity in physics learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the response of teacher and students to learning device based on the cognitive conflict approach in the blended learning model. This learning device was developed to improve students' mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 6 Mataram. The learning tools developed are learning plans (RPP), learning materials, LKPD (students worksheets), and evaluation instruments. The subjects of this research were a physics teacher at SMA Negeri 6 Mataram and students in class XI MIA 4. The responses of teachers and students were part of a practical analysis. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire. Teachers and students were given questionnaires to respond to the learning tools developed. The teacher responds to the entire device while the students respond to the learning process, learning materials and LKPD that they study. The results of the analysis show that the learning tools are categorized as practical. This means that the learning tools developed can be used in learning. A more complete and detailed explanation of these results is presented in this article.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Google Sites as a digital learning platform in science education, specifically examining the prevailing challenges and pedagogical opportunities. Utilizing a systematic literature review of ten peer-reviewed articles, the research analyzes the platform's efficacy in enhancing conceptual understanding, scientific process skills, and problem-solving abilities. The findings indicate that Google Sites serves as a versatile and interactive medium capable of accommodating diverse instructional materials and learning styles. Evidence suggests a positive correlation between platform implementation and increased student engagement and motivation. However, critical barriers persist, including the necessity for specialized teacher professional development in digital content curation and the requirement for robust technological infrastructure. The study concludes that while Google Sites offers significant potential for innovation in science pedagogy, its success is contingent upon strategic planning and sustained institutional support to ensure long-term educational quality.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and find the effect of the discovery learning model in improving students’ critical thinking skills on elasticity material. This research was carried out at SMAN 1 Sukamulia. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group research design. The population in this study was all students in class XI MIPA for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 2 classes. Meanwhile, the sample for this research was class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class with a total of 30 students. Meanwhile, XI MIPA 2 is the control class with 25 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used is a written test in the form of a description (essay) with a total of 6 questions that have been tested. The results of this research show that the average value for the experimental class is 62.86 and the control class has an average of 54. The results of the hypothesis test show that both classes are homogeneously and normally distributed. By using the t-test pollet variance formula, t(calculation) is 2.15 and t(table) is 2.02 so that t(calculation) is greater than T(table), then Ho is rejected and ha is accepted, thus it can be concluded that there is The influence of the discovery learning model in improving students’ critical thinking skills on elasticity material.

Abstract

The shift in science education towards a constructivist approach requires integrating learning strategies that foster deep student engagement and understanding. This research systematically investigates the integration of multimodal approaches into Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) models in science education, and evaluates their effectiveness on student learning outcomes. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA protocol, this study covers peer-reviewed sources from various international databases over the last 15 years. Findings consistently indicate that multimodal integration through simulations, virtual laboratories, multiple representations, videos, and other digital tools significantly improves conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, creativity, and positive motivation and attitudes towards science. While each model offers specific advantages (PBL excels in problem analysis, PjBL in artifact creation, and IBL in scientific exploration), successful implementation depends heavily on the teacher's role, student readiness, and contextual support. This review recommends well-planned multimodal learning designs that align with learning objectives and the specific model's characteristics.

Abstract

This study examines students’ perceptions of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) implementation, focusing on the perceived benefits, support needs, and challenges among pre-service teachers in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, University of Mataram.  Data were collected through a survey of 64 respondents. The results indicate that the majority of students perceived PjBL as beneficial for enhancing conceptual understanding, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Notably, 98.4% of respondents supported the continuous implementation of this model. Key support requirements identified include step-by-step guidance, project examples, and adequate references. Meanwhile, the primary challenges involved time management, group dynamics, facility limitations, and supervision intensity. The study concludes that while PjBL is effective in developing prospective teachers' competencies, its implementation demands more structured planning and consistent supervision to optimize outcomes.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding of prospective physics teachers regarding the role of laboratories and the importance of practical work in physics learning. The event involved 40 students currently undergoing education to become physics teachers. The activities were conducted through interactive lectures and laboratory practical sessions. The lectures provided in-depth information about the role of laboratories in physics education, explored the benefits of practical work as a means of applying theoretical concepts in real-life situations, and identified potential challenges in implementing practical work in schools. The laboratory practical sessions offered direct experiences for students to apply the physics concepts learned in the classroom. The results of this activity demonstrated a significant improvement in the understanding of prospective physics teachers regarding the role of laboratories and the importance of practical work in learning. Thus, this activity contributes positively to enhancing the quality of physics education at the primary and secondary education levels.
