Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to analyze the competence of teachers as part of the teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge in applying scientific approach in Mathematics PLPG (in-service teacher education and professional training) program rayon 138 Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2014. The research method used is descriptive with quantitative approach. The subjects of the study consisted of 23 mathematics teachers including mathematics teachers of junior high school, high school and vocational school from Kebumen, Purworejo, and Magelang. Data was collected by filling in a questionnaire at the beginning and end of the training, observing microteaching activities, and documenting the learning material arranged by PLPG participants. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that PLPG especially PLPG rayon 138 Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2014 gives benefits for the development of teachers’ PCK, especially in terms of teachers’ competence in applying scientific approach. Based on the analysis of learning materials arranged by the teachers and analysis of learning videos, it is known that the majority of the teachers have been able to construct a learning material using scientific approach and implement it properly.  Keywords: teacher’s competence, pedagogical content knowledge, scientific approach, PLPG

Abstract

Background: Caring behavior of nurses is the essence of nursing science ("the heart of nursing"), as this is what determines the quality and service quality nursing care and will directly affect coping strategies family (primary caregiver) who had family members get care in the emergency department (ED). This study aims to identify the correlation between nurse caring behaviors with family coping strategies (caregiver) whose family members were treated in the ED. Methods: This study used a descriptive correlation approach, with a total sample of 75 respondents, the sample selection was conducted by sampling proposive. The research instrument used Assesmant Caring Behavior Tool (CBA) and F Copes (Family Crisis Oriented Personal Scales). Results: of the study found that there is no correlation between nurse caring behaviors with family coping strategies whose family members were treated in emergency care with a value of P 0.938 and r -0.009 Conclusion: of this study imply that nurses caring behavior should be used as a culture in providing nursing care and hospital management determines the policies related policies on caring behavior of nurses in emergency department service

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh Latihan Ketrampilan sosial terhadap kemampuan sosialisasi pada lansia yang mengalami kesepian di  Panti wredha. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental, pre-post test with control group.  Tempat penelitian di Panti Wredha A (Intervensi)  dan  Panti Wredha B (Kontrol) di Kabupaten Semarang. Sampel penelitian adalah 27 lansia kelompok intervensi dan 28 lansia sebagai kelompok kontrol yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan skor kemampuan sosialisasi lansia setelah dan sebelum dilakukan Latihan Ketrampilan Sosial. Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan sosialisasi pada lansia pada kelompok intervensi. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah Latihan Ketrampilan Sosialisasi direkomendasikan pada lansia dengan kesepian.

Abstract

The inability to socialize in an environment that is different from the previous life is a significant stressor for the elderly. The aim of this research was to analyze the correlation between social skill training and socialization ability of eldery with loneliness in nursing home. This research used quasi experimental pre-post test with control group design. The research took place at nursing home”A” for intervention group with 27 subjek and nursing home “B” for control group with 28 subjek. The result showed a significant difference of elderly socialzation ability before and after that there was training with social skill training. It is proved by an increase of social ability of eldery in intervention group. This research recommended that social skill training needs to be given in elderly with loneliness

Abstract

Mental retardation is a special needs child who has a physical or social limitations that need care and responsibilities of all time. Care and responsibility it takes time, effort, and cost quite a bit, and could pose a anxiety to the family, so the need to strengthen support in the form of supportive group therapy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of supportive group therapy toward the anxiety level in the care of children at SLB Banyumas District. This study used a quasi experimental design, pre-post test with control group, which will be compared to family anxiety levels between the intervention group and the control group. The results of the statistical test obtained p value of 0.008 indicating a significant difference in anxiety levels between the family intervention group and the control group after administration of supportive group therapy (p≤: 0.05). Supportive group therapy contributes to improved family functioning psychologically so as to reduce anxiety levels of caring for mental retardation. Recommendations of this study is to establish a parent support group in SLB, composed of families who have children with mental retardation.

Abstract

The number of homosexuals in Indonesia continues to rise each year. In Padang, there were 662 men with gay sexual orientation. This qualitative study aimed to determine the practice of life as homosexuals. This phenomenological study described the lived experience of men with homosexuality. The participants of this study were six men with same-sex sexual orientation who lived in Padang and could communicate in Bahasa or Minangnese language. They were collected using snowball sampling techniques. The results of this study were analyzed using the Colaizzi method. The results of this study obtained eight themes, namely the causes of same-sex relationships, early experiences in relationships, the process of partner selection, potential physical and psychosocial problems, self-concept of sexual orientation, the roles of parents and mothers, and stabilization of gender status choices. Of these 8 themes, the initial causes of having a relationship were the most dominant experiences.  All participants expressed the beginning of being homosexual just for fun, starting pleasure, and influenced by friends. Besides, the relationship process such as how to get a partner, location, and sexual relationship constraints in most participants had also included in the discussion.

Abstract

Perilaku kekerasan merupakan respons terhadap stressor yang ditunjukkan dengan perilaku mencederai diri sendiri, merusak lingkungan, dan mencederai orang lain, baik dilakukan secara verbal maupun dalam bentuk perilaku. Perilaku kekerasan dapat menimbulkan berbagai macam dampak seperti peningkatan biaya perawatan, sehingga perlu segera ditangani. Salah satu tindakan keperaatan yang dapat digunakan untuk klien dengan risiko perilaku kekerasan adalah Assertivenesss Training (AT). Penulisan karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan hasil tindakan Assertivenesss Training (AT) pada klien risiko perilaku kekerasan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu laporan kasus. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara mengukur tanda gejala dan kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan tindakan keperawatan AT pada 4 pasien risiko perilaku kekerasan. Hasil pemberian terapi AT menunjukkan terjadi penurunan tanda gejala risiko perilaku kekerasan dan peningkatan kemampuan pasien, namun pada umumnya pasien masih meninggalkan 1 tanda gejala. Dapat disimpulkan pemberian terapi AT ini bermanfaat untuk menurunkan tanda gejala dan meningkatkan kemampuan klien risiko perilaku kekerasan.

Abstract

Fractions are well known to be difficult to learn, but it is should not be surprising considering the complexity of the concepts involved. In working with fractions, children learn new rules that often conflict with well-established ideas about whole numbers. Many studies have revealed that fractions division has been thought to be the most complex of the mathematical operations in elementary mathematics. However, fractions and the operations have been recognized as an important foundation for the understanding of our number system. Therefore teachers should provide meaningful learning experiences that relate to division of fractions. This present study aimed to analyze secondary school students construction of knowledge in fractions division. This descriptive study was conducted with 44 seventh grade students in Pangudi Luhur Junior High School in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. During a one-week unit of lesson on division of fractions, students were given a task-based activity specifically designed to promote students understanding. Data sources in this study included observation of learning process and a pre and posttest of students conceptual knowledge and procedural computation skills. Abstract

This research aims to investigate mathematical literacy of students grade VIII SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Yogyakarta before and after learning using the Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) approach. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 36 students of class VIII-F, SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Yogyakarta. This research was conducted in March until July of 2016. The data was collected through observation, instructional video recording, and the results of pretest and posttest. Pretest and posttest was designed based on the characteristics of PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) problem. Instructional video was analyzed in qualitative with making a transcript of the video, determining topics of the data, and categorizing the data. The results of pretest and posttest were analyzed qualitatively to determine the students ability of mathematical literacy. The findings showed that before the implementation of PMRI the students get a better result in solving PISA problem level 2 compared with the result in solving PISA problem level 3, but after the implementation of PMRI the students get a better result in solving PISA problem level 3 compared with the result in solving PISA problem level 2. It is affected by PMRI learning which applied more focused to guide students to construct their mathematical knowledge instead of doing routine exercises of solving PISA problems.doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2017.010106

Abstract

Family is the closest person to the elder person who has an important role in caring for elder person. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the cordial older family nursing model in an effort to improve the quality of family care in elder person. The study approach was the study of literature with expert agreement. The search method for library resources was done online, which uses databases such as Science Direct, Scopus, Sage, Pubmed and ProQuest. The keywords used were "elder mistreatemnt", "intervention" and "family approach". Literature search was only limited in 2008 to 2019 and in English. The results obtained 15 research articles analyzed. There were three themes obtained, namely the provision of information through training, giving positive perceptions to families who care for the elderly and counseling. Training was oriented towards family coping and coping strategies in caring for the elder person aimed at caregivers, cadres and health workers. Planting suggestions were given in groups or individually to families who care for the elderly, and counseling is given individually to families who need it. Further research is expected to be able to identify the quality of life of the elder person related to the application of the cordial older family nursing model. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah memberikan gambaran model keperawatan keluarga santun lansia dalam upaya peningkatan kulitas asuhan keluarga pada lansia. Pendekatan studi adalah studi literatur dengan kesepakatan pakar. Metode pencarian sumber pustaka dilakukan online yaitu menggunakan basis data seperti Science Direct, Scopus, Sage, Pubmed dan ProQuest. Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah “elder mistreatment”, “intervention” dan “family approach”. Penelusuran literatur hanya dibatasi dalam tahun 2008 hingga 2019 dan dalam bahasa Inggris. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah didapatkan 15 artikel penelitian yang dianalisis. Ada tiga tema yang didapatkan, yaitu pemberian informasi melalui pelatihan, pemberian persepsi positif pada keluarga yang merawat lansia dan konseling. Pelatihan berorientasi pada dukungan dan strategi koping keluarga dalam merawat lansia yang ditujukan kepada pelaku rawat, kader dan petugas kesehatan. Penanaman sugesti diberikan secara berkelompok ataupun individual pada keluarga yang merawat lansia, dan konseling diberikan secara individual bagi keluarga yang memerlukannya. penelitian lanjutan diharapkan dapat mengidentifikasi mengenai kualitas hidup lansia yang berkaitan dengan penerapan model keperawatan santun lansia.
