Abstract

There are problems with students having difficulty reading almost every school year. For students in grade 1 elementary school, they are already faced with textbooks in the form of reading. When they were in kindergarten, they were not required to be able to read when they graduated. So the problem arises when grade 1 students are not fluent in reading, even though the subject matter is already in the form of reading. Therefore, the author makes an effort to improve reading skills in students by using the great child method (AHE). The AHE method consists of 6 steps, namely brain gymnastics, remediation, reading modules, enrichment, writing and games. With a maximum duration of about 30 minutes in each meeting, the students' concentration will be well maintained. The teacher provides guidance by giving praise, encouragement, and should not use negative words when students are wrong in reading. Hopefully, with teachers using the AHE method, there will be no more students who experience learning difficulties.

Abstract

Self-confidence is also known as Self efficacy, which means a person's belief in their ability to exercise a form of control over their own functioning and events in the environment. Low self efficacy in students can make students engage in procrastination behavior, this is the basis for this study. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between self afficacy and students' academic procrastination behavior. In this study, the method used was quantitative with the type of correlation research, the population in this study was 360 students. The sample of this study took 20% of the population so that the sample used was 72 students determined by cluster random sampling technique. Based on the Pearson product moment correlation test, the calculated r value is 0.694, while the r table for a sample size of 72 is 0.229. Therefore, 0.694> 0.229, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between self efficacy and academic procrastination behavior in SMA Negeri 3 Pemalang. The positive relationship means that if self efficacy is high then academic procrastination behavior is low and vice versa if self efficacy is low then academic procrastination behavior is high.

Abstract

The Correlation of Parenting Patterns to the Independence of Career Selection of Class X Students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Weleri is motivated by students making career plans based only on their will and desire without considering their abilities. Student career selection is not just a job that is chosen, but a job that is truly in accordance with their potential, so in this case parenting patterns from parents are intended to provide motivation and support to students in choosing their careers. The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the correlation between parenting patterns and career choices of class X students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Weleri. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational research design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Weleri. The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling obtained from a questionnaire of parental parenting and career choice independence. The results of this study indicate that the results of the correlation test, obtained that the sig.(2-tailed) value on the parental parenting variable is 0.463 and the sig. (2-tailed) value of career selection is 0.463. In this hypothesis test analysis, it can be concluded that the sig.(2-tailed) value of parental parenting and career selection is 0.463>0.05, so there is a significant relationship between parenting and student career selection. The sample amounted to 96 students with a significance level of 5%, the r table value was 0.199. Therefore, r count < r table or 0.76 < 0.199 means that there is a relationship between parenting patterns and the independence of student career choices.

Abstract

Resilience Of Children From Broken Homes In Building Self-Efficacy.Not all children grow up in harmonious family conditions, there are some who grow up in broken homes which will affect their resilience ability in building self-efficacy to survive in life. The fact is that not all children from broken homes are able to be resilient in building self-efficacy. The problem in this research is how resilient children from broken homes are in building self-efficacy? This research aims to determine the resilience of children from broken home family backgrounds in an effort to build self-efficacy. This type of research is qualitative phenomenological research. The research subjects were children under the age of 18 who experienced broken home conditions with a background of children from broken homes with families that were still intact but not harmonious, children from broken homes with the death of one parent, and children from broken homes with divorced parents. The results of the research showed that the three children who experienced broken home conditions had resilience in an effort to build self-efficacy. Although one of the children whose parents died had differences in the aspect of self-efficacy which was only moderate. Keywords: Resilience, Broken Home, Self Efficacy

Abstract

This study explores the impact of outdoor learning activities on increasing children's interest in learning, both physically and mentally. The focus is on early childhood education, emphasizing active creation and experiential learning over traditional lecture methods. This approach encourages children to learn from their own experiences and form conclusions based on their own observations and thoughts. The research investigates how taking students outside the classroom for teaching enrichment provides them with unique learning experiences unavailable within the confines of a traditional classroom setting. By engaging with their environment, students gain opportunities to observe and experience firsthand, fostering a deeper understanding and interest in the subjects taught. The methodology includes observational studies and qualitative analysis of students' responses to outdoor learning activities. Results indicate that learning outside the classroom significantly enhances children's engagement and enthusiasm for learning. This study concludes that incorporating outdoor learning into early childhood education can provide substantial benefits, enriching students' educational experiences and supporting their overall development.

Abstract

Learning is an interaction process involving students, educators, and learning resources within a learning environment. However, today's elementary school students exhibit diverse behaviors, such as restlessness, difficulty in following instructions, and lack of focus, which can indicate emotional and behavioral disorders like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Understanding ADHD symptoms and contributing factors is crucial for educators to minimize associated problems and provide appropriate interventions. This paper aims to describe the behaviors of students with ADHD in learning contexts. Utilizing a literature study method, data were sourced from relevant books and journals. The findings reveal that students with ADHD display inattentive behavior (difficulty paying attention), hyperactive behavior (inability to stay still), and impulsive behavior (acting without thinking). These behaviors significantly impact the learning process, underscoring the need for tailored educational strategies to support ADHD students.

Abstract

Mathematics Olympiad is a prestigious competition that is growing and has many enthusiasts in Indonesia. Thus the need for math olympiad teaching media is getting higher. The purpose of this research is to develop a digital book that is 1) valid, 2) practical and 3) effective for improving learning outcomes and mathematical creativity of elementary school students, which is named MODiB (Mathematics Olympiad Digital Book). MODiB contains Elementary Mathematics Olympiad material according to the OSN syllabus and in solving problems using the Polya Problem Solving Strategy. MODiB development applies the 5 steps of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were SD DCS Semarang students who had passed the selection for OSN guidance. Starting with analyzing the condition of coaching mathematics Olympiads at SD DCS Semarang and recording the needs needed to foster the OSN team, designing and developing MODiB accompanied by validators who are material experts and media experts, and then implementing MODiB at SD DCS Semarang. Evaluation is carried out at each stage and after implementation is complete. From the research results, data were obtained: 1) the feasibility results of the material on MODiB were 89.09% which were included in the feasible category to be tested on students, and the feasibility results of learning media were 88.57% in the feasible category to be tested on students, 2) practical results MODiB according to students is 80.48% which is included in the practical category, 3) the results of the analysis of increasing learning outcomes with the gain test obtained a score 0,244 that is included in the low category based on the Gain score category according to Hake, and 4) the value of mathematical creativity of 16 respondents (53.3 %) increased, 4 respondents (13.3%) remained and 10 respondents (33.3%) decreased. Overall, the average increase in the value of mathematical.
