Abstract

Media pembelajarandalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah perlu terus dilakukanpembaruan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajarane-modulberbasis pendekatan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang valid, praktis, dan efektif.Pada penelitan dan pengembangan inimenggunakan model ADDIE yangterdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu Analysis (Analisis), Design (Perancangan), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation(Implementasi), dan Evaluation (Evaluasi). Untuk data akhirdianalisis dengan menggunakan uji kesamaan dua rata-rata yaitu uji t satu pihakkanan. Darianalisis data akhir dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar pesertadidik kelas eksperimenlebih baik dari peserta didik kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelas yang menggunakan e-modulberbasis pendekatan kontekstual lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tanpa menggunakan e-modulberbasis pendekatan kontekstual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) keefektifan problem-based learning (PBL) ditinjau dari (a) kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, (b) kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, dan (c) self-esteem; serta (2) perbandingan keefektifan problem-based learning dan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari (a) kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, (b) kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, dan (c) self-esteem. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pemberian pretest dan posttest kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis, serta pemberian angket self-esteem sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Uji statistik yang diguna-kan adalah uji proporsi dan uji selisih antara dua proporsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada taraf signifikansi 5% dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) problem-based learning efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, tetapi tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan self-esteem; serta (2) problem-based learning lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari (a) kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, (b) kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, dan (c) self-esteem.Kata kunci: problem-based learning, berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif, self-esteem

Abstract

Mathematical literacy skills are very necessary to face and solve various challenges in today's life, so these abilities need to be honed from elementary school. This research aims to analyze whether the increase in the mathematical literacy skills of students taught using a project-based learning model is higher than the mathematical literacy skills of students taught using regular learning. This type of research is quasi-experimental by dividing 2 sample groups as samples that are taught through regular learning and samples taught by applying a project-based learning model. This analysis uses the t-test to compare the means of the two sample groups. The sample in this study was 26 grade 4 children at state elementary school 064967 Medan, North Sumatra. The results of this research were the increase in the mathematical literacy skills of students taught using a project-based learning model was higher than the mathematical literacy abilities of students taught using regular learning. Through project activities, students can provide a rich understanding of concepts and ideas.

Abstract

The learning program carried out by teacher continuously includes planning, implementing and evaluating learning activities. The purpose of this study was to describe the lesson planning carried out by high school mathematics teachers in Semarang. This evaluation research is oriented towards learning planning program and achievement of program results is seen with the Context, Input, Process, Product evaluation model approach. The results obtained are context evaluation covering the vision and mission of the school, paying attention to the predictions of community needs for education, support of laws and regulations regarding education and understanding of learning tools; input evaluation includes opportunities, and support for increasing teacher competence, fulfillment of school facilities and infrastructure for learning mathematics, teacher understanding of students; process evaluation includes teacher participation in training activities and MGMP for enhancing teacher competence, preparing and developing learning tools; and product evaluation includes the suitability of learning tools with process standards.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' reflective thinking skills in solving mathematics problems in terms of the learning styles of junior high school students. This type of research was descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Candimulyo, Magelang Regency, in the academic year 2020/2021. The subjects of this study were 2 visual learning style students, 2 auditory learning style students, and 2 kinesthetic learning style students. Data collection techniques in this study were learning style questionnaires, tests of reflective thinking skills, and in-depth interviews. Triangulation in this study using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that subjects with visual and auditory learning styles can meet the reflective thinking ability phase (Reacting, Comparing, and Contemplating) with each indicator being met so that the subject was at a reflective level. Kinesthetic learning style subjects were able to meet the reflective thinking ability phase (Reacting, Comparing, and Contemplating) but several indicators were not fulfilled, so the subject was at a fairly reflective level. Therefore, the profiles of students’ reflective thinking skills in visual and auditory learning styles were both at a reflective level, while the profiles of students' reflective thinking skills in kinesthetic learning styles were different because they were at a sufficiently reflective level.

Abstract

Kemampuan numerisasi penting dimiliki siswa agar dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan atau pemecahan masalah dengan baik. Kemampuan numerisasi memberikan kemampuan pada anak berpikir logis dan sistematis dalam mengambil keputusan. Artinya jika seseorang yang memiliki kemampuan numerik maka akan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan numerisasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah distribusi peluang binomial pada siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII yang dipilih berdasarkan gaya belajar yang dimiliki. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket penelitian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Siswa dengan gaya belajat visual memiliki kemampuan numerik yang baik dalam hal perhitungan sistematis, berpikir logis, mengkoordinasikan, serat kemampuan mengindeitifikasi pola. Siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial memiliki kemampuan untuk berpikir logis tetapi masih kurang dalam perhitungan secara matematis. Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik memiliki kemampuan numerik yang baik namun memiliki kelemahan pada kemampuan mengidentifikasi pola-pola yang ada pokok permasalahan.

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) to improve students' multi-representation ability. A quasi-experimental design was used in this research. Sixty-four samples from the seventh-grade students of Junior School were randomly selected and divided into two classes: experimental class was treated using RME and control class was treated using conventional learning, with each class consisting of thirty-two students. The essay test was used to measure the multi-representation ability of students and the questionnaire was used to measure students' responses in RME learning. The data from the essay test were analyzed by N-Gain test and t-test in which normality and homogenity test were conducted previously, while the students' learning completeness and student responses were presented descriptive quantitative. The result of the research concluded that the multi-representation ability of students who get RME learning is better than the multi-representation ability in students who get conventional learning. 87.25% of students who get RME learning with the developed device have completed the KKM, and many students are very enthusiastic and interested in RME based learning, thus increasing their learning spirit in a learning process.

Abstract

Salah satu prestasi yang dicapai oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah kemampuan mereka dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pemecahan masalah, yang perlu terus dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMA menggunakan langkah-langkah Polya pada materi kaidah pencacahan dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning/PBL). Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dan melibatkan siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 9 Semarang sebagai subjek penelitian. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 35 siswa kelas XII IPS 1, dengan 11 siswa laki-laki dan 24 siswa perempuan. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang mengikuti langkah-langkah Polya pada materi kaidah pencacahan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMA kelas XII berdasarkan langkah-langkah Polya pada materi kaidah pencacahan tergolong sangat baik sebesar 20%, sedangkan kategori pencapaian yang mendominasi adalah cukup dengan persentase sebesar 42,9%.

Abstract

MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Batang telah berdiri sejak lama namun belum ada kesepakatan terkait pertemuan rutin dan rancangan kegiatan bagi pada anggotanya. Selain itu, para guru di MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Batang belum mengenal STEM-AR yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Urgensi dan fokus kegaiatn pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan aplikatif yang mengintegrasikan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) dan Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pembelajaran matematika sehingga guru dapat mengembangkan Modul Ajar berbasis Pendidikan STEM-AR dan menerapkannya di kelas matematika. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah membentuk Komunitas Belajar STEM-AR dengan fokus pada bidang sosial kemasyarakatan dan manajemen melalui metode pelaksanaan (1) memberikan pelatihan STEM, AR, dan pembuatan Modul Ajar berbasis Pendidikan STEM-AR, dan (2) penerapan hasil pelatihan dalam mengembangkan Modul Ajar berbasis Pendidikan STEM-AR. Kegiatan PkM Pendidikan STEM-SR bagi Guru Matematika di Kabupaten Batang telah terlaksana hingga pelaksanaan penggunaan teknologi tepat guna. Pada kegiatan pelatihan, Guru SMA di Kabupaten Batang telah memahami dengan baik terkait pendidikan STEM, AR, dan pengembangan modul ajar berbasis STEM-AR. Sudah 100% guru matematika di Kabupaten Batang telah mampu mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis STEM-AR. Guru Matematika Kabupaten Batang juga telah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis STEM di kelas matematika, namun memang masih perlu ditingkatkan agar pembelajaran dapat berjalan lebih efektif. Siswa dalam kelas tampak antusias dengan pembelajaran berbasis STEM ini karena merupakan pengalaman baru bagi mereka. Perlu adanya perbaikan berkelanjutan dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga kelas menjadi lebih efektif.

Abstract

Soft skills are essential factors in preparing students to face the increasingly competitive job market. However, traditional learning methods often pay less attention to the development of these non-technical skills. This study aims to analyze the impact of project-based learning integrated with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) on improving students' soft skills in the Organic Chemistry course, particularly in the topic of hydrocarbons. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design. The sample was selected purposively, involving 33 students who took the Organic Chemistry. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using Google Form, and the data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The results showed that the project-based learning method integrated with STEAM (PJBL-STEAM) had a significant impact on the development of students' soft skills, with a determination coefficient (R²) value of 0.300. This indicates that the method explains 30% of the variation in soft skills improvement, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors beyond this study. In conclusion, this study highlights that PJBL-STEAM is not only effective in enhancing students' technical abilities but also plays a crucial role in developing the non-technical skills required in professional settings.
