Abstract

This activity is the second year of community service which is a continuation of training activities and making digital teaching materials to support project-based learning (PjBL) in sekolah penggerak for chemistry teachers in Padang city. This second year of community service activities has the theme of training to digitise project-based learning teaching materials developed at the Chemistry Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) in Padang city. This activity aims to provide direction to Padang city chemistry teachers in implementing digital teaching materials. This community service was carried out in the lecture building of FMIPA Universitas Negeri Padang on 9 August, 16 August, and 23 August 2024. The implementation methods carried out in this community service activity are: (1) conducting a needs analysis, knowing the situation of teachers towards the implementation of PjBL-based learning through questionnaires distributed, (2) delivering material to community service participants related to PjBL and an overview of teaching materials that have been designed using the PjBL learning model explained by the speaker, then (3) delivery of materials and discussions related to differentiated learning with the PJBl learning model, and (4) delivering material related to the digitalisation of project-based teaching materials or PjBL using liveworksheet. The results of the service activities carried out can provide motivation, provide experience, and understanding for Padang city chemistry teachers regarding the digitalisation of project-based learning teaching materials so that chemistry teachers in Padang city can prepare digital chemistry teaching materials, especially with liveworksheets using the PjBL model that can assist learning activities so that learning can run effectively and efficiently in accordance with the demands of the curriculum and the times.

Abstract

Teaching materials for Sekolah Penggerak should be prepared based on a creative thinking learning model such as project-based learning (PjBL). However, based on the needs and situation of teachers towards the implementation of PjBL-based learning, implementation of PjBL in learning is still low, since the teachers in Padang need the advance training of preparation in PjBL learning material. The Community service activities have been carried out to provide experienced chemistry teachers in developing teaching materials based on Project-Based Learning. The implementation methods carried out in this activity are: (1) Analyzing the needs and situation of teachers towards the implementation of PjBL-based learning through questionnaires distributed, (2) Submission of material to service participants related to the PjBL learning model and syntax in this learning model explained by the speaker, then (3) Teachers are given the task of compiling and designing chemistry LKPDs using the PjBL model, (4) Teachers will present the results of the LKPD design compiled, and (5) evaluation of activities. The results of the service activities carried out can provide experience and understanding for chemistry teachers in Padang city regarding the PjBL learning model. Participants who attended this service activity could prepare chemistry teaching materials using the PjBL model so that teachers could be more innovative and creative. This activity service can provide motivation for teachers to prepare teaching materials in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum Merdeka, especially in the implementation of project-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching material on thermochemistry to support learning in Phase F SMA/MA Merdeka Curriculum. Educational Research Design (EDR) were used as the design approach and limited to prototyping stage. The subjects were three chemistry lecturers, two teachers who teach chemistry subjects and nine phase F students. Data was collected using validity and practicality questionnaires which resulted average content validity of 0.85 and construct validity of 0.87, where it can be classified as valid. Furthermore, the percentage of practicality is 96% for teachers and 94% for students, which can be classified as very practical. From these findings, it can be concluded that the developed teaching material is valid and practical.

Abstract

Konsep mol merupakan materi dasar dalam stoikiomteri yang bersifat abstrak, banyak konsep, hukum, dan rumus yang harus dikuasai peserta didik, sehingga dianggap bagi peserta didik. Modul pembelajaran yang inovatif sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mengatasi kesulitan peserta didik dalam mempelajari materi konsep mol. Tujuan dari studi ini untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran dan mengetahui tingkat validitas dan praktikalitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur Educational Design Research (EDR) model Plomp, terdiri dari tiga tahap: tahap investigasi awal, tahap pengembangan prototipe, dan tahap penilaian. Jenis data yang diperoleh berupa data primer, menggunakan instrumen validasi dan pratikalitas. Hasil validasi dengan Aiken’s V diperoleh nilai rata-rata 0,87 dengan kategori valid. Hasil penilaian praktikalitas terhadap penilaian guru dan peserta didik diperoleh persentase sebesar 92% dan 88% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sudah valid dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar materi konsep mol.

Abstract

Tersedianya bahan ajar berupa LKPD kajian asam basa dengan model PBL yang dapat membantu memudahkan pelajar dalam memahami konsep nantinya, yang sudah dilaksanakan pengujian terhadap keabsahan dan kemudahan penerapannya namun belum diuji efektivitasnya terhadap prestasi akademik pelajar. Pengkajian ini dilaksanakan dengan maksud menentukan efektivitas dari penggunaan LKPD model PBL sebagai bahan ajar terhadap prestasi akademik pelajar pada kajian asam basa fase F SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek. Pengkajian ini termasuk Pengkajian percobaan yang merupakan lanjutan dari Pengkajian pengembangan oleh Yulinda Sari. teknik yang dimanfaatkan pada pengkajian ini yaitu teknik quasi experiment dengan desain pengkajian Non-equivalent control group design. Pengambilan informasi dalam pengkajian ini memakai instrumen pengkajian berupa 10 soal berganda dan 3 soal essay, kelompok individu pengkajian ini adalah fase F SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek. Teknik pengambilan model uji coba dilaksanakan dengan memakai Teknik purposive sampling yang disesuaikan mengacu pada tinjauan tertentu yaitu pengajar yang mengajar. model uji coba Pengkajian yaitu kelas kimia 4 sebagai kelas percobaan dan kelas kimia 2 sebagai kelas pembanding yang terdiri dari 29 siswa di masing-masing kelas. Data temuan pengkajian dievaluasi memakai uji n-gain dan uji hipotesis. mengacu pada temuan evaluasi data, diperoleh nilai n-gain pada kelas pembanding sebesar 0,53 dengan kategori sedang dan kelas percobaan sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori tinggi. temuan uji-t didapatkan nilai relevansi kecil dari 0,05 yaitu sebesar 0,012. Evaluasi data tersebut dapat dirangkum bahwa hipotesis diterima, artinya penggunaan LKPD berlandaskan Problem Based Learning pada kajian asam basa efektif mengoptimalkan prestasi akademik pelajar fase F SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek.

Abstract

Air sumur merupakan sumber air utama yang digunakan masyarakat indonesia untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menjaga kualitas air sumur dengan mengidentifikasi keberadaan logam berat terutama timbal (Pb), maka dari itu dilakukannya analisa kadar Pb pada air sumur warga di kecamatan Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru melalui analisis menggunakan Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA). Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom dipilih untuk menganalisis kadar timbal (Pb) dalam penelitian ini karena mempunyai sensitivitas serta akurasi yang memadai untuk dilakukannya analisis logam terlarut di dalam sampel air. Timbal (Pb) adalah logam berat dengan sifat toksisitas yang tinggi. Paparan timbal dalam jumlah yang tinggi dapat mengakibatkan berbagai masalah kesehatan kronis, dimulai dari kulit pucat, penurunan tekanan darah, diare hingga kerusakan hati dan ginjal bahkan menyebabkan karsinogenik. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di peroleh kadar Pb pada sampel air sumur sebesar 0,086 mg/L. Kadar air ini berada diatas batas maksimum yang diizinkan untuk air minum (0,01 mg/L) dan air untuk keperluan hygiene sanitasi (0,05 mg/L) berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 dan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No32Tahun2017. Pencemaran air sumur dapat disebabkan oleh limbah rumah tangga, perkotaan, pemukiman, pasar, pabrik, jalan, industri, pertanian dan sumberl ainnya yang mencemari badan air. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengawasan kualitas air sumur untuk melindungi kesehatan masyarakat dari risiko paparan timbal. Dengan demikian, diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk mengontrol dan memperbaiki kualitas air agar memenuhi standar kesehatan yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Inflamasi merupakan pertahanan tubuh saat terjadi rangsangan berbahaya pada jaringan tubuh. Namun inflamasi berlebih dapat menyebabkan rusaknya jaringan dan penyakit degeneratif. Enzim Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) memiliki peran penting dalam proses inflamasi sehingga penghambatan ennzim tersebut dapat menjadi pengendalian inflamasi. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) menjadi pengobatan konvensional untuk mengatasi inflamansi namun terkadang memiliki efek samping yang tidak diinginkan. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengeksplorasi interaksi senyawa dari ekstrak daun kacang gude (Cajanus Cajan) dengan Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) dalam upaya menemukan obat antiinflamasi dengan pendekatan in silico menggunakan perangkat lunak MOE. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh 2 senyawa sebagai ligan terbaik yakni ?- selinene dan ?-tocopherol dengan nilai energi ikatan masing-masing 1.2433 kcal/mol dan 1.4352 kcal/mol dan nilai RMSD masing-masing -6.4444 Å dan -8.1138 Å. Selain itu, pengujian Lipinski Rule of Five menunjukkan hasil yang sesuai aturan dan memenuhi kriteria obat. Namun, untuk mengonfirmasi potensi aktivitas antiinflamasi dari senyawa tersebut secara menyeluruh, diperlukan validasi lebih lanjut melalui studi in vitro dan in vivo, guna membuktikan efektivitas biologis serta keamanannya sebelum dapat dikembangkan sebagai kandidat obat antiinflamasi.

Abstract

The material of the basic laws of chemistry is an important foundation in understanding various advanced concepts in chemistry, especially those related to quantitative calculations such as the concept of moles. However, the abstract and mathematical characteristics of the material are often an obstacle for students in understanding the concept thoroughly. The purpose of this research is to develop a guided inquiry-based learning system integrated with flipped classroom assisted by Discord application on the material of basic laws of chemistry. The research employed the Educational Design Research (EDR) method using the Plomp model, which includes three stages:preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase, with limitations up to the small group trial stage (prototype IV). The research subjects consisted of 3 lecturers, 2 chemistry teachers, and 9 students of class XI SMAN 8 Padang. Needs analysis revealed that chemistry learning remains abstract and heavily mathematical, leading to student difficulties and misconceptions. To address this, a learning approach was designed incorporating three levels of multiple chemical representations (macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic) integrated flipped classroom that supports independent learning, with guided inquiry syntax. Discord was selected as the supporting platform due to its comprehensive features that facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning. The product was tested through validation by experts and evaluation of students. The results of content validity of 0.89 and construct validity of 0.93 indicate that the product is valid. The practicality value of 93% obtained from the analysis of the practicality questionnaire of teachers and students with a very practical category. These findings suggest that the developed learning system is appropriate for use in chemistry education and can effectively help students independently and meaningfully understand the basic laws of chemistry. Furthermore, this study supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the integration of technology-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Flipped Classroom learning system based on Guided Inquiry using the Discord application on the Atomic Structure material to improve the understanding of high school students, tested up to the validity and practicality stages. The product is considered valid if the validity score (V) is above 0.8 and highly practical if the practicality percentage score exceeds 86%. The method used in this study is Educational Design Research (EDR) with the Plomp model. In the development stage, formative evaluation was conducted through four prototypes. The first prototype was developed based on needs analysis, context analysis, and literature study. The second and third prototypes were refined through expert review and one-to-one evaluation, with results showing excellent content and construct validity. The research subjects consisted of 3 chemistry lecturers from UNP. Meanwhile, the practicality test on the fourth prototype, which involved teachers and students, showed that this learning system was highly practical, with 2 chemistry teachers and 9 students from SMAN 8 Padang. The data collection instruments used in this study were validity and practicality test questionnaires. Based on the results, a validity score of 0.86 and a practicality score of 92% were obtained, indicating that the system is valid and highly practical.

Abstract

Hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga di SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang tergolong rendah yaitu 57,0 dan 56,0 yang tergolong rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur efektifitas Penggunaan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga di SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang. Jenis Penelitian adalah Quasi Eksperimental dengan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik prposive sampling. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen yaitu 79 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yaitu 68. Hasil efektivitas pretest dan posttest uji n-gain kelas eksperimen 0,71 dengan kategori cukup efektif. Berdasarkan analisis data menunjukkan data terdistribusi tidak normal dan homogen, sehingga dilakukan uji U, diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig <0,001 maka keputusan H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Artinya hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol secara signifikan.
