Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Problem-Based Learning Electronic Student Worksheet to improve learning outcomes in acid-base material for Grade XI students. The research employed a developmental design using the Plomp model, encompassing preliminary investigation, design and prototype development, and assessment phases. Data collection involved expert validation, teacher and student evaluations, and pre-test/post-test assessments with Grade XI students from a public senior high school selected through purposive sampling. The results demonstrated high validity with Aiken's V values of 0.86 for content validity, 0.83 for media validity, and 0.86 for learning validity. Practicality assessment revealed high acceptance with teacher ratings of 4.38 on a five-point scale and 90.46% student acceptance rate. Effectiveness testing showed significant improvement in learning outcomes, with mean scores increasing from 71.61 to 89.44. Statistical analysis using paired sample t-test indicated significant differences with Cohen's d effect size of 2.26, demonstrating substantial educational impact. The study concluded that the Problem-Based Learning Electronic Student Worksheet is valid, practical, and effective for enhancing student learning outcomes in acid-base chemistry, providing a valuable digital learning resource for twenty-first century chemistry education

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and practical learning system in addressing the need for an instructional design that fosters digital literacy in first-year chemistry students. Using the Educational Design Research framework, the learning system was developed on Discord and integrated flipped-guided inquiry learning models. The study involved lecturers and students from Department of Chemistry, Universitas Negeri Padang. The system was structured with a server and channels to facilitate each stage of the learning process. The evaluation assessed the validity and practicality of the system. The overall results indicated the system was highly valid with overall validity of 0.85 (construct validity 0.85 and content validity 0.86) and practical (student practicality 81% and lecturer practicality 83%). These findings suggest that a Discord-based, flipped-guided inquiry system is a highly viable and useful tool for teaching thermochemistry and student’s digital literacy.

Abstract

To response the needs for 21st century competencies among chemistry students, a novel approach on learning in higher education is paramount. This study presents the development and evaluation of a flipped classroom learning system for chemical kinetics, designed to enhance digital literacy and guided inquiry through Discord. This research followed the Educational Design Research (EDR) model outlined by Plomp and Nieveen and limited to development studies; yielding  a refined learning system prototype. The developed learning system was validated by five lecturers from Universitas Negeri Padang, resulted in content (0.85), and construct validity (0.82). Meanwhile, the practicality of the learning system was also evaluated by students and lecturers, resulted in practicality indexes of 88% and 85%, respectively. All of the results suggest high level of validity and practicality meaning the learning system has achieved the quality criteria content, structure, and usage wise. These results imply for the utilization platforms like Discord for higher education learning to promote student-centered learning and digital literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to design a flipped classroom learning system incorporating guided inquiry, using the Discord platform for buffer solution materials in Phase F. The study employed Plomp Educational Design Research framework, which comprises initial investigation, design, construction, testing, evaluation, and refinement. The product underwent validation through expert evaluation and was assessed for practicality and effectiveness. The content validity achieved a score of 0.89, while the media validity scored 0.90, meaning both belong to the valid category. Evaluation of practicality showed that the system was highly practical, with teachers and students giving it an overall score of 90% and 92% respectively. Effectiveness was measured by analyzing pretest and posttest results using the N-Gain formula, yielding a score of 0.75, which is classified as high gain. The overall findings suggest that the developed learning system is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of buffer solutions. Moreover, the integration of Discord provides an accessible and interactive digital environment, aligning with the needs of 21st-century education and the Merdeka Curriculum. Therefore, this model can be recommended as an innovative solution for digital chemistry instruction in senior high schools.

Abstract

Air sumur merupakan sumber air utama yang digunakan masyarakat indonesia untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menjaga kualitas air sumur dengan mengidentifikasi keberadaan logam berat terutama timbal (Pb). Timbal (Pb) adalah logam berat dengan sifat toksisitas yang tinggi. Paparan timbal dalam jumlah yang tinggi dapat mengakibatkan berbagai masalah kesehatan kronis, dimulai dari kulit pucat, penurunan tekanan darah, diare hingga kerusakan hati dan ginjal bahkan menyebabkan karsinogenik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa kadar Pb pada air sumur warga di kecamatan Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru melalui analisis menggunakan Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA). Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom dipilih untuk menganalisis kadar timbal (Pb) dalam penelitian ini karena mempunyai sensitivitas serta akurasi yang memadai untuk dilakukannya analisis logam terlarut di dalam sampel air. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan di peroleh kadar Pb pada sampel air sumur sebesar 0,086 mg/L. Kadar air ini berada diatas batas maksimum yang diizinkan untuk air minum (0,01 mg/L) dan air untuk keperluan hygiene sanitasi (0,05 mg/L) berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 dan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No 32 Tahun 2017. Sehingga diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk mengontrol dan memperbaiki kualitas air agar memenuhi standar kesehatan yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Inflamasi merupakan respon biologis tubuh terhadap rangsangan berbahaya, namun inflamasi berlebihan dapat menimbulkan kerusakan jaringan dan penyakit degeneratif. Enzim Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) berperan penting dalam proses inflamasi, sehingga menjadi target utama dalam pengembangan obat antiinflamasi yang lebih aman dibandingkan NSAID konvensional. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi senyawa bioaktif daun kacang gude (Cajanus cajan) sebagai kandidat agen antiinflamasi melalui penghambatan enzim COX-2. Penelitian dilakukan secara in silico menggunakan perangkat lunak MOE dengan metode molecular docking terhadap sepuluh senyawa bioaktif daun kacang gude terhadap reseptor COX-2 (kode PDB: 1CX2). Evaluasi meliputi nilai energi ikatan, RMSD, serta kesesuaian Lipinski’s Rule of Five dan profil ADMET. Dua senyawa terbaik yang memiliki afinitas kuat terhadap COX-2 adalah ?-selinene dan ?-tocopherol dengan energi ikatan masing-masing 1,2433 kcal/mol dan 1,4352 kcal/mol serta RMSD -6,4444 Å dan -8,1138 Å. Keduanya memenuhi kriteria drug-likeness. Senyawa ?-selinene dan ?-tocopherol berpotensi sebagai kandidat obat antiinflamasi alami melalui penghambatan COX-2. Diperlukan validasi lanjutan melalui uji in vitro dan in vivo untuk memastikan efektivitas serta keamanannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar yang dapat mendukung pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka pada materi larutan peyangga fase F SMA/MA.  Penelitian pngembangan ini menggunakan model plomp dengan jenis penelitian Educational design research (EDR) dilakukan hingga tahap prototyping phase pada uji kelompok kecil. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket validitas dan praktikalitas. Uji validitas dilakukan oleh tiga orang dosen kimia FMIPA UNP dan dua orang guru kimia SMAN 8 Padang. Uji praktikalitas dilakukan oleh dua orang guru kimia SMAN 8 Padang dan sembilan orang peserta didik fase F SMAN 8 Padang. Hasil uji validitas diolah menggunakan rumus Aiken,s v dapatkan hasil dengan rata-rata 0,87 kategori valid dan hasil data uji praktikalitas guru dengan rata-rata kepraktisan 93% dan uji praktikalitas peserta didik dengan rata-rata kepraktisan 91%. Hal ini menandakan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat menunjang pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka pada materi larutan peyangga fase F SMA/MA sudah valid dan praktis.

Abstract

This aims of this research is to develop teaching materials that incorporate multiple representations of chemistry concepts, especially on the salt hydrolysis topic, to support the Merdeka Curriculum and improve students' mental models in the F phase of high school. Educational Research Development (EDR) is the method chosen, using Plomp’s development model. The subject are three UNP chemistry lecturers, two chemistry teachers and nine SMAN 8 Padang students. The developed teaching material have been validated with a construct validity value of 0.89 which is classified as valid and. Then it has also been tested for practicality with a score of 96% from teachers and 94% from students, this shows that the development teaching materials are very practical, which indicates their ease of use and application in an educational environment. It concludes, that the developed teaching materials are for the topic of salt hydrolysis, which incorporate a comprehensive range of chemical representations proven to be valid and highly practical can effectively assist students in building mental models and improving their understanding of chemical concepts and support the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum in fostering deeper student understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching material on thermochemistry to support learning in Phase F SMA/MA Merdeka Curriculum. Educational Research Design (EDR) were used as the design approach and limited to prototyping stage. The subjects were three chemistry lecturers, two teachers who teach chemistry subjects and nine phase F students. Data was collected using validity and practicality questionnaires which resulted average content validity of 0.85 and construct validity of 0.87, where it can be classified as valid. Furthermore, the percentage of practicality is 96% for teachers and 94% for students, which can be classified as very practical. From these findings, it can be concluded that the developed teaching material is valid and practical.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan Lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis problem based learning pada materi larutan penyangga untuk sekolah penggerak fase F dan digunakan untuk mengetahui kevalidan  dan tingkat kepraktisan dari LKPD yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Education Design Research (EDR) memiliki tiga tahapan yaitu preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, dan tahap terakhir yaitu assessment. Namun tahap assessment tidak dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument berupa angket validasi dan praktikalitas. Data validasi yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan skala Aiken’s V, sedangkan data praktikalitas dianalisis menggunakan perbandingan nilai respon peserta didik dan guru dengan nilai maksimal yang diperoleh. Berdasarkan angket validasi yang sudah dianalisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan telah valid dengan nilai V sebesar 0,85 dengan kategori valid. Sedangkan praktikalitas oleh guru dan peserta didik didapatkan nilai NP berturut-berturut sebesar 92% dan 89% dengan kategori sangat praktis.
