Abstract

The design of an Arduino Uno-based water acidity (pH) monitoring device for boilers at Steam Power Plants (PLTU) fundamentally provides significant assistance to field technicians who monitor water acidity levels daily. Currently, the water sampling process for boilers is generally conducted manually, which is inefficient because the water quality in the boiler fluctuates constantly, while sampling is only performed every eight hours. The objective of this research is to design a pH monitoring device for boilers and display the sensor readings on an LCD monitor. The methodology used in this study involves experimental design for both hardware and software. The hardware utilizes a pH sensor with a pH 4502C module as the input, which is then processed by an Arduino and displayed on the LCD. The results indicate that the pH sensor system using the pH 4502C module can achieve a reading accuracy of up to 95.6%, and the device is considered to be in compliance with national standards. During detection, the sensor monitors pH levels between 7.0 and 11.0; if the level exceeds the 11.0 threshold, the buzzer will deactivate.

Abstract

Perubahan struktural dalam kabinet memicu konsekuensi administrasi dan keuangan yang signifikan, khususnya terkait penyelesaian Satuan Kerja (Satker) yang terdampak likuidasi. Kanwil Ditjen Perbendaharaan (DJPb) Provinsi Gorontalo memiliki peran krusial dalam memastikan akuntabilitas dan percepatan proses penyelesaian administrasi keuangan satker tersebut, termasuk penyusunan Laporan Keuangan UAKKBUN.  Kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PPM) melalui KKN Profesi bertujuan memberikan asistensi dan dukungan teknis secara langsung kepada Kanwil DJPb Provinsi Gorontalo dalam rangka mengakselerasi proses penyelesaian administrasi keuangan dan likuidasi satker yang terdampak.  Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui KKN Profesi, di mana mahasiswa terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan rutin, seperti mempedomani pedoman penyusunan Laporan Keuangan UAKKBUN, menghadiri zoom meeting terkait dead-end-unit (DEU), serta membantu proses pemutakhiran data dan dokumentasi sesuai regulasi terbaru (misalnya PMK 85 Tahun 2024).  Hasil dari PPM menunjukkan adanya kontribusi nyata mahasiswa dalam memperkuat kapasitas dan kecepatan Kanwil DJPb Gorontalo. Kehadiran mahasiswa KKN Profesi berhasil mengoptimalkan waktu penyelesaian dokumen, mengurangi beban kerja administrasi pegawai, serta meningkatkan pemahaman tim terkait prosedur likuidasi, yang pada akhirnya mendukung terciptanya tata kelola keuangan negara yang akuntabel. Structural changes within the cabinet have generated significant administrative and financial consequences, particularly regarding the settlement of Work Units (Satker) undergoing liquidation. The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) in Gorontalo Province holds a crucial role in ensuring accountability and expediting the completion of the affected satker’s financial and administrative processes, including the preparation of the UAKKBUN Financial Report. The Community Service Program (PPM) implemented through the Professional Community Service Program (KKN Profesi) aims to provide direct technical assistance and support to the Regional Office of DJPb Gorontalo in accelerating the financial administration and liquidation processes of the impacted satker. The implementation method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through KKN Profesi, whereby students are actively involved in routine activities such as adhering to the guidelines for preparing the UAKKBUN Financial Report, attending Zoom meetings related to dead-end units (DEU), and assisting with data updating and documentation in accordance with the latest regulations (e.g., Minister of Finance Regulation No. 85 of 2024). The results of the community service program demonstrate a tangible contribution by students in strengthening the capacity and efficiency of the DJPb Gorontalo Regional Office. The involvement of KKN Profesi students successfully optimized document completion time, reduced the administrative workload of staff, and enhanced the team’s understanding of liquidation procedures, ultimately supporting the realization of accountable public financial governance.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan sistem absensi siswa berbasis teknologi Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) yang terintegrasi dengan notifikasi WhatsApp secara otomatis kepada orang tua. Program ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 5 Gorontalo sebagai upaya modernisasi sistem administrasi sekolah dan peningkatan keterlibatan orang tua dalam memantau kehadiran siswa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei kebutuhan, perancangan alat dan sistem, instalasi, pelatihan penggunaan, serta uji coba lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sistem RFID mampu mencatat kehadiran siswa secara cepat, akurat, dan real-time. Notifikasi WhatsApp berhasil dikirim otomatis setiap kali siswa melakukan absensi, sehingga orang tua dapat langsung mengetahui kehadiran anak di sekolah. Guru dan staf tata usaha menyatakan sistem ini sangat membantu dalam proses rekap data absensi serta mengurangi penggunaan kertas. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan solusi teknologi tepat guna yang efisien, ramah lingkungan, dan aplikatif, serta berpotensi untuk direplikasi di sekolah lain sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap transformasi digital di dunia pendidikan. This community service program aims to implement a student attendance monitoring system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) integrated with automatic WhatsApp notifications to parents. The activity was conducted at SMK Negeri 5 Gorontalo as part of efforts to modernize school administration systems and enhance parental involvement in monitoring student attendance. The implementation method included needs assessment, system and device design, installation, user training, and field testing. The results showed that the RFID system successfully recorded student attendance quickly, accurately, and in real time. WhatsApp notifications  were  automatically  sent  each  time  a  student  checked  in,  allowing parents to instantly receive attendance updates. Teachers and administrative staff reported that the system significantly simplified the attendance recap process and reduced paper usage. Overall, this program provided an efficient, environmentally friendly, and applicable technological solution, supporting digital transformation in schools. The developed system has strong potential to be replicated in other educational institutions as an example of appropriate technology application in vocational education.

Abstract

The community reporting system in Hutadaa Village, West Limboto District, remains dependent on manual mechanisms, leading to delayed responses, unstructured documentation, and difficulty for village officials in prioritizing issues. This community service activity aims to design a prototype of an AI-based smart village service application integrated with the WhatsApp platform, enabling automated classification of community reports and assessment of urgency levels. The design was carried out through four stages: field interview-based needs identification, system architecture design, workflow simulation, and limited testing with village officials. The system was designed by integrating WhatsApp Business API, an AI-based image processing module, and a report management interface for village officials. Simulations demonstrated that the system can classify reports into categories (infrastructure, sanitation, social, emergency) and assign urgency levels (low, medium, high) based on analysis of photo and text content, achieving a category classification accuracy of 82.5% and urgency assessment accuracy of 77.5% under good image quality conditions. Interface testing by village officials yielded positive responses regarding ease of use and feature relevance. The designed system has the potential to improve the efficiency of public services at the village level. Full implementation and long-term impact evaluation are required in subsequent service activities. Sistem pelaporan masyarakat di Desa Hutadaa, Kecamatan Limboto Barat, masih bergantung pada mekanisme manual yang menyebabkan keterlambatan penanganan, dokumen laporan yang tidak terstruktur, dan kesulitan bagi aparat desa dalam menetapkan prioritas penanganan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan merancang prototipe aplikasi layanan desa cerdas berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang terintegrasi dengan platform WhatsApp, yang memungkinkan klasifikasi otomatis laporan warga beserta penilaian tingkat urgensinya. Perancangan dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap: identifikasi kebutuhan berbasis wawancara lapangan, desain arsitektur sistem, simulasi alur kerja, dan uji coba terbatas bersama perangkat desa. Sistem dirancang dengan mengintegrasikan WhatsApp Business API, modul pemrosesan gambar berbasis AI, dan antarmuka manajemen laporan untuk aparat desa. Simulasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengklasifikasikan laporan ke dalam kategori (infrastruktur, kebersihan, sosial, darurat) dan menetapkan tingkat urgensi (rendah, sedang, tinggi) berdasarkan analisis konten foto dan teks, dengan akurasi klasifikasi kategori sebesar 82,5% dan akurasi penilaian urgensi sebesar 77,5% pada kondisi gambar berkualitas baik. Pengujian antarmuka oleh perangkat desa menghasilkan respons positif terhadap kemudahan penggunaan dan relevansi fitur. Sistem yang dirancang berpotensi meningkatkan efisiensi layanan publik di tingkat desa. Diperlukan implementasi penuh dan evaluasi dampak jangka panjang pada tahap pengabdian berikutnya.
