Abstract

ABSTRACT Soybean (Glycine max L.) is one of the most important food crops in Indonesia after rice and corn. Soybeans are rich in plant-based protein, making them an excellent choice for improving community nutrition due to their health benefits. However, soybean production in Indonesia, including in Jambi Province, still faces many challenges, one of which is the predominance of marginal land, mainly ultisol soils. Therefore, improvements in cultivation techniques are necessary to address these problems. Selecting superior varieties and using biofertilizers such as Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) are potential solutions to enhance soybean productivity. This study aims to determine the different responses of soybean varieties to various mycorrhizal doses and to identify the optimal mycorrhizal dose for each variety. The research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, located in Mendalo Darat Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. Experimental study arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a two-factor factorial pattern. The first factor was the soybean variety, consisting of four varieties: Argomulyo, Dena-1, Dering-2, and Dering-3. The second factor was mycorrhizal application, consisting of three levels: no mycorrhiza, 10 g/plant, and 20 g/plant. The observed variables included plant height, total leaf area, flowering age, infection rate, harvest age, number of pods per plant, number of filled pods, weight of 100 seeds, seed weight per plant, and yield per hectare. Prior to data analysis, normality was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk test. Data that met the normality requirement were then statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if significant differences were found, further testing was conducted using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% significance level (α = 5%). The results showed different responses among soybean varieties to various mycorrhizal doses, particularly in yield per hectare. There were significant effects of the single factors variety and mycorrhizal doses on variables such as plant height, leaf area, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plant, number of filled pods, weight of 100 seeds, and seed weight per plant. However, for the infection rate variable, a significant effect was only found for the mycorrhizal factor, not for the variety factor. A mycorrhizal doses of 20 g/plant gave the best results for Argomulyo, Dering-2, and Dering-3 varieties in terms of total leaf area, infection rate, number of pods per plant, number of filled pods, seed weight per plant, and yield per hectare. Meanwhile, for the Dena-1 variety, the optimal result in yield per hectare was obtained with 10 g/plant of mycorrhiza. Keywords: Soybean Varieties, Mycorrhiza doses, Plant growth and Yield

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yakni meningkatkan pelafasan siswa dalam membaca quran di kelas VII MTs Hidayatul Muhajirin Palangka Raya dengan menerapkan metode Tilawati. Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca qur'an, terutama pada aspek pelafalan huruf hijaiyah, penerapan tajwid, dan kelancaran membaca. Kondisi ini membutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang efektif, menarik, dan mampu meningkatkan kefasihan dalam  membaca quran secara keseluruhan. Pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis pengabdian masyarakat yang akan digunaka yakni Pendekatan  yang memadukan kegiatan akademik dengan pengabdian masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 19 Agustus–22 Oktober 2025, melibatkan 16 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok. Tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi tiga bagian utama, yaitu tahap persiapan (merencanakan materi Tilawati), tahap pelaksanaan (penerapan metode Tilawati melalui latihan membaca dan bimbingan), dan tahap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kelancaran membaca, ketepatan pengucapan huruf, dan penerapan hukum tajwid siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran. Selain meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, metode Tilawati juga mampu menumbuhkan minat dan kecintaan siswa terhadap Al-Qur'an melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan interaktif. Dengan demikian, metode Tilawati terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas bacaan Al-Qur'an sekaligus membentuk sikap religius siswa di lingkungan madrasah.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian pangan dan keterampilan kewirausahaan santri Pondok Pesantren Ma’had Rizqullah melalui pelatihan serta instalasi sistem hidroponik skala kecil. Pesantren yang berada di Desa Simpang Sungai Duren, Muaro Jambi, memiliki keterbatasan ekonomi dan ketergantungan tinggi terhadap pasokan pangan eksternal. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari lima tahap: sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis hidroponik, penerapan instalasi gully system, pendampingan dan evaluasi produksi, serta pelatihan pemasaran. Instalasi dengan kapasitas 1.216 lubang tanam berhasil dibangun dan digunakan untuk menanam sayuran cepat panen seperti pakcoy dan kangkung. Partisipasi aktif santri dan pengurus selama pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis pengalaman efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan pengetahuan praktis. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya memperkuat ketahanan pangan pesantren, tetapi juga membentuk dasar kewirausahaan bagi para santri melalui pengelolaan dan pemasaran hasil panen.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PkM) represents a tangible contribution of universities in supporting sustainable development at the local level. Guntung Ujung Village, which possesses considerable human and social resource potential, still faces challenges related to the quality of housing. Self-help houses built independently by residents often do not meet standards of comfort, health, and safety, thereby affecting the quality of life of the families who inhabit them. Through this PkM activity, efforts are made to improve the quality of self-help housing using a community empowerment approach. The program not only emphasizes the physical aspects of buildings but also enhances residents’ knowledge, skills, and awareness regarding the importance of decent housing. By actively involving the community, a sense of ownership and sustainability in maintaining housing quality is expected to emerge. Furthermore, this activity aligns with government agendas in supporting public housing programs, particularly the improvement of self-help houses. The collaborative approach between academics, village government, and the community is expected to produce solutions that are applicable, efficient, and tailored to local needs. Thus, this PkM is not merely a technical intervention but also a process of empowerment that strengthens the capacity of Guntung Ujung Village residents to realize a healthier, safer, and more dignified living environment.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide technical assistance for structural elevation and the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in the rehabilitation work of ironwood pile foundations at SDN Balah Paikat, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency. The school building stands on swampy land with a low floor elevation so that it often experiences flooding during the rainy season, while the previous building lifting process was carried out manually without adequate elevation control and K3 procedures. The activity was carried out through a participatory approach that included preparation and coordination stages, observation and initial elevation measurements, technical assistance for the lifting process (jacking) in stages and simultaneously using simple measuring tools, the implementation of K3 through socialization and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as evaluation and provision of technical recommendations. The results of the activity showed that the building lifting process became more controlled, the elevation between columns was more uniform, and the distribution of structural loads was more stable. In addition, worker awareness of the implementation of K3 during the work also increased. This activity has an impact on reducing the potential for waterlogging, increasing the safety and comfort of the building, and creating a safer and more usable learning environment.
