Abstract

Information-seeking behavior is an activity in searching for information that is needed or desired with a specific purpose. This study aims to describe the information-seeking behavior of the Masyarakat Anti Fitnah Indonesia (MAFINDO) fact-checking team. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of exploratory research. The data obtained are the results of interviews with MAFINDO fact-checkers as informants and literature studies. The results showed that the information-seeking behavior of the MAFINDO fact-checking team was divided into three stages, namely before searching for information, when searching for information, and after searching for information. Before searching for information, the MAFINDO fact-checking team looked for hoaxes to be verified. When searching for information, the MAFINDO fact-checking team looks for references with predetermined criteria using tools or search engines that match the hoaxes to be verified. After searching for information, the MAFINDO fact-checking team used the references obtained, processed them into fact-checking articles, and published them. The behavior of the MAFINDO fact-checking team in conducting information seeking tends to follow Wilson (1981) information-seeking behavior model, Krikelas (1983) information-seeking behavior model, Wilson (1996) search-behavior model, and Ellis information-seeking behavior model which has been developed and expanded by Meho and Tibbo (2003). And there is no visible tendency to follow Kuhlthau (1991) information-seeking behavior model.

Abstract

Perlakuan A: Frekuensi pemberian probiotik sebanyak 2 hari sekali, Perlakuan B: Frekuensi pemberian probiotik sebanyak 3 hari sekali, Perlakuan C: Frekuensi pemberian probiotik sebanyak 4 hari sekali, Perlakuan D: Frekuensi pemberian probiotik sebanyak 5 hari sekali. Kata Kunci: Udang Vannamei, Lactobacillus sp, AHPND, Bakteri VibrioABSTRACTVannamei shrimp cultivation (Litopenaeus vannamei) in Indonesia is currently developing rapidly and has become the main mainstay of exports of fishery cultivation products. However, in the process of cultivation activities, obstacles are still found, namely the quality of aquaculture waters that are increasingly uncontrolled, resulting in the emergence of several diseases such as acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) caused by pathogenic bacteria. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal frequency of probiotic administration for the treatment of acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in vannamei shrimp. This study uses an experimental method using a Complete Random Design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates. The treatment in this study was in the form of giving probiotics with different frequencies. Treatment A: Frequency of probiotic administration every 2 days, Treatment B: Frequency of probiotic administration every 3 days, Treatment C: Frequency of probiotic administration every 4 days, Treatment D: Frequency of probiotic administration every 5 days. The results showed that the administration of probiotics with different frequencies had a real effect on vibrio growth in the treatment of Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND) in vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in DOC 5 – DOC 30. Keywords: Vannamei Shrimp, Lactobacillus sp, AHPND, Vibrio Bacteria

Abstract

This study is motivated by the futuristic interior design and attractive facilities of the University of Indonesia (UI) Library, which create a comfortable environment. However, statistical data show a significant decline in student visits between September and December 2023. This phenomenon raises questions about the factors influencing users' experiences, particularly their perceptions of the library's interior design, which should ideally enhance comfort and increase visitation. This research is essential to understand how interior design affects user perception and visit rates, and to provide recommendations for improvements that could boost the library's appeal among students. This study employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, literature review, and documentation. The population consists of 15,190 student users of UI Library, and based on Isaac and Michael's formula, a sample of 284 respondents was obtained. Accidental sampling was used as the sampling technique. The results show that users' perceptions of the interior design elements averaged 3, while the interior design principles received an average score of 3.33. Overall, the users' perception of the library's interior design averaged 3.29, falling within the "very good" range (3.28-4.03). Although the general perception is positive, the lowest scores were found in the air temperature aspect (2.63) of the design elements and in the proportion aspect (3.09) of the design principles. Therefore, it is recommended that librarians improve the aspects with the lowest scores to enhance user comfort and maintain the positive perceptions of the library.

Abstract

In the past decade, research in Islamic education and human ethics has seen a significant acceleration, marked by increased publications, global collaboration, and strong interdisciplinary integration, especially after the pandemic. This research focuses on developing a framework that integrates Islamic spirituality, social justice, and technological innovations in education. The study employs a bibliometric analysis to map trends, influential authors, and key themes in the integration of Islamic education with environmental awareness. Findings show an epistemological shift toward Transformative Islamic Humanism, a new paradigm that connects Islamic values with contemporary social issues, such as sustainability and justice. This shift is supported by the dominance of Social Sciences and Arts and Humanities in the research, reflecting the growing humanistic orientation in Islamic education. Geographically, Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia, emerges as a new research hub. The study identifies future research directions, including developing digital ethics in Islamic education, integrating halal values with sustainability, and fostering community empowerment through Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This research contributes to bridging Islamic education with environmental sustainability goals and offers new avenues for international collaboration. Practically, it supports the development of eco-Islamic curricula and policies that align with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Children have a strong connection with various forms of play. In daily life, both traditional and modern games are always part of their activities. Play is considered essential because it serves as a medium to support physical and motor development in Early Childhood. Today, the modern games favored by children in urban areas tend to stimulate cognitive abilities more than motor skills. Therefore, parents living in urban settings are encouraged to introduce games that can strengthen children's muscle development, one of which is through traditional games. Unfortunately, traditional games are increasingly marginalized because they are viewed as outdated and physically demanding. In fact, when examined more closely, various types of traditional games offer numerous benefits, including: (1) developing healthy, fit, strong, and competitive physical abilities; (2) fostering mental aspects such as sportsmanship, tolerance, discipline, and democratic attitudes; (3) building moral character that is sensitive, honest, and sincere; and (4) enhancing social abilities such as competitiveness, cooperation, discipline, friendliness, and national awareness.

Abstract

Coronavirus is a cause of infectious diseases. The European Food Safety Association (EFSA), on March 9, 2020, explained that there is no evidence yet to show that food is part of the coronavirus transmission route (of course, when we consume food in the right and clean way standard). Basic Health Research conducted by the Ministry of Health in 2018 shows that few Indonesian citizens are malnourished or suffer from diabetes. This group risks experiencing fatal health problems when attacked by the coronavirus. The aim of this health promotion is that the post-vaccination participants for COVID-19 in the D3 Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, University of Jember, Lumajang Campus, have a better understanding of consuming healthy food after the COVID-19 vaccination. The service method uses counseling using lectures, question and answer, and demonstrations with X banner and leaflet media for participants after the COVID-19 vaccination, which was carried out on March 17, 2022, taking place at the D3 Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Jember, Lumajang Campus. The results of this community service activity are likely successful. This can be observed in the level of attendance and the activeness of the participants. This activity took place in an orderly and good manner without experiencing significant obstacles. The follow-up that needs to be done is to continue to provide information on healthy food after the COVID-19 vaccination, so that confusing and untrue news can be suppressed so that the people of Indonesia are free of COVID-19, especially the people of Lumajang.
