Abstract

Seni Tani is the first urban agriculture social enterprise in Bandung City that adopts the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) system, connecting consumers with farmers directly. Although there is an increasing trend in the amount of vegetable consumption in Bandung City in 2019-2023, the number of consumers who subscribe to the Seni Tani CSA program is still relatively low. However, when viewed from the number of Seni Tani Instagram followers, it is very high to become a potential members of CSA Seni Tani. This study aims to analyze the influence of 7P’s marketing mix on purchase intention through attitudes in potential members of CSA Seni Tani. This research used a quantitative research design with a questionnaire survey approach. This study used a sample of 100 people obtained through convenience sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study is a path analysis test using the SPSS version 25 program. The results of this study indicate that the marketing mix strategy is proven to have a positive and significant influence on purchase intention through attitudes of potential members. Attitude has a positive and significant direct influence on purchase intention, while the marketing mix does not have a direct influence on purchase intention, but through the mediating variable in the form of attitude.

Abstract

Post-harvest losses remain a major challenge in the paprika supply chain, particularly in agricultural regions such as West Bandung Regency. Variations in supply chain governance practices across different types of suppliers are suspected to contribute to differing levels of post-harvest losses. This study aims to identify and estimate post-harvest losses in paprika under different supply chain management systems. A multi-case study approach was employed, focusing on three types of suppliers in West Bandung: farmer groups, cooperatives, and independent collectors. A qualitative method was used, with descriptive analysis of post-harvest loss estimations based on data collected through interviews and field observations. The results indicate that the highest total post-harvest loss occurred in farmer groups (3.55%), followed by cooperatives (1.82%), and the lowest in independent collectors (1.12%). These findings suggest that differences in supply chain governance significantly influence post-harvest loss levels. Losses are predominantly caused by technical issues such as improper harvesting methods, overproduction, prolonged storage, and damage during transportation. The implementation of contractual systems and strong relational ties between buyers and sellers facilitates more secure product off-take, thereby reducing losses. Meanwhile, the spot market serves as an alternative sales channel for downgraded paprika with declining quality.

Abstract

Potatoes represent one of the alternative carbohydrate sources replacing rice and possess high economic value. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in 2023, Indonesia's potato production increased by 4.21 percent from 1.36 million tons to 1.42 million tons. CV. Bumi Agro Technology (CV. BAT) is one of the potato seed producers that diversify to minimize risks and ensure smooth cash flow. Potatoes, as their flagship commodity, have the highest sales. Strawberry seedlings serve as a substitute commodity if potatoes incur losses, while leafy vegetables ensure quick cash flow availability. To understand its business model, it is necessary to map CV. BAT's business model as a company that cultivates various commodities for diversification. The aim of this research is to map CV. BAT's business model. This research employs a qualitative design with a case study approach at CV. BAT. Data were obtained through observation and interviews. This study uses the analysis of nine blocks of the Business Model Canvas (BMC). The research findings conclude that CV. BAT indirectly fulfills the nine BMC blocks. CV. BAT heavily relies on the quality of its products to maintain consumer loyalty. Good product quality triggers repeat orders and consumer trust. Therefore, CV. BAT needs to maintain the quality of its products, especially potato and strawberry seed products.

Abstract

Honey has become a widely found product with a variety of brands, and an attractive packaging design is one way to distinguish a product from its competitors. However, there are still many honey producers who have not optimized the use of packaging as a tool for marketing products, one of them is UMKM Honey Bees Asy-syifa Babussalam. The study aims (1) to analyze the impact of visibility, information, emotional appeal, and workability of Babussalam Asyfa Honey packaging on consumer purchasing interests, and (2) to analyse the influence of Visibility, Information, Emotional Appeal and Workability on the simultaneously buying interest of consumers. The research uses quantitative research methods with double regression analysis taken through surveys and interviews. The sample in this study amounted to 125 respondents who were drawn through purposive sampling because of the large number of populations with the criterion of consumption of pure honey. The results of this study show that visibility, emotional appeal, and workability have a significant influence on purchasing interests, while information and non-information have significant influences on buying interests.
