Abstract

Implementing regional autonomy gives local governments the authority to provide freedom in regulating and managing their area. Rural development is an essential part of supporting the success of regional development. However, problems were found in the information system and management of village economic data, which resulted in slow village government work processes in collecting information system data and the difficulty for the community to obtain information about the village economy. This study aims to analyze the East Java Provincial Government in initiating the SI Desa Service as a form of providing information system services and computer-based village data management and an integrated website that is easy to access for users. This qualitative research uses an analytical tool as a business model canvas with secondary data because it can develop SI Desa Services through its nine components. The research results by the Provincial Government of East Java through the Community and Village Empowerment Office, which collaborated through a memorandum of understanding with other stakeholders involved in initiating an ideal information system for village economic data management in the SI Desa Service. This integrated service will become a village economic information system and data management that is transparent, accountable, and right on target and can be monitored for its usefulness. The village government can provide excellent service so that all villages integrated with this service can become more resilient and self-sufficient.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) have the potential to strengthen local economic competitiveness but often face challenges in governance and digital marketing. This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of BUMDes Sumber Kamulyan in Wunut Village through the implementation of SIBUMDes Wunut, a website-based information system designed as an appropriate digital tool. The activities were carried out in five stages: initial governance and marketing management, intensive training for 30 participants consisting of village officials, BUMDes managers, women’s groups, and youth organizations, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and sustainability planning. Evaluation using the Total Criteria of Response method indicated an average score of 86.75 percent, categorized as very good. The results showed improvements in management, including digital standard operating procedures and transparent financial recording, and in marketing, particularly through social media content development and tourism branding of Umbul Pelem. Sustainability is supported by the formation of an internal digital management team and partnerships with local stakeholders. In conclusion, SIBUMDes Wunut as a website-based system effectively improves governance, strengthens digital marketing strategies, and enhances the competitiveness of rural enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of zakat and various socio-economic factors on regional economic growth and poverty levels in Indonesia. Using panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia for the period 2019-2021. This study examines the complex relationships between zakat distribution and key macroeconomic indicators within an Islamic economic framework, using a common effects model for the economic growth equation and a fixed effects model for the poverty equation. The results indicate that zakat has a positive significant effect on economic growth and has a negative  significant effect on poverty. This research provides valuable insights into the potential role of zakat in addressing economic inequality and promoting sustainable development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Research aims: The research aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and compensation on performance with job satisfaction as a variable intervening of millennial generation banking employees in Semarang City.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research design is quantitative. This study’s primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to millennial-generation banking employees. The study was conducted for one month. Hypothesis testing in this study used the SEM-STATA method.Research findings: With the object of research being the millennial generation working in the banking industry in Semarang City, compensation and work-life balance positively correlated with employee performance. The results also confirmed the role of the intervening variable, job satisfaction, in the relationship between work-life balance and compensation on employee performance. Theoretical contribution/Originality: The findings supported the existing theories (Spillover Theory, Enrichment Theory, and Equity Theory).Practitioner/Policy implication: For banking companies to pay attention to employee well-being because compensation will satisfy and motivate employees and improve work performance. It is also reasonable for the company to provide job satisfaction to employees to improve employee performance. To enhance the performance of banking employees for the millennial generation in the future through increasing programs that support employees to harmonize their personal lives and work activities to have a relationship with employees’ job satisfaction.Research limitation/Implication: The subject is limited to Millennial Generation and does not capture other generations, such as Baby Boomer and Generation X. It would be better if future researchers could analyze the different characteristics and personalities in the workplace. This paper also only tested the model by Millennial Generation who work in the banking industry in the Semarang City area. It cannot be generalized to other sectors and regions.
