Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics, validity, teacher and student responses to developed LKS.  The method used in this research is Borg and Gall research and development method which is done until the first 5 stages. This research was conducted by involving teachers and students in Senior High School in Bandarlampung. Expert validation results on content conformity, construction, and legibility aspect consecutively are 86.85%, 92.10% and 85,36%, so it is valid. The percentage of teachers' response on contentness, readability, and construction aspects consecutively are 88.85%, 93.15%, and 88.46%, with very high criteria. Percentage of student responses on aspects of attractiveness and readability consecutively are  93.69%, and 94.36% with very high criteria. Based on these results then this LKS is valid to be used as one of the learning media in school especially in colligative properties of solution material.Keywords: LKS, everyday life phenomena, coligative properties of solution  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik, validitas, tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dilakukan sampai 5 tahap pertama.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa SMA di Bandarlampung. Hasil validasi ahli pada aspek kesesuaian  isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan diperoleh persentase berturut-turut sebesar 86,85%, 92,10%, dan 85,36%, sehingga dinyatakan valid. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kontruksi berturut-turut sebesar 88,85%, 93,15%, dan 88,46%, dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek kemenarikan dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 93,69%, dan  94,36% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka LKS ini layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya pada materi sifat koligatif larutan.Kata Kunci : LKS, everyday life phenomena, sifat koligatif larutan

Abstract

The learning process is strongly influenced by the ability and accuracy of teachers in selecting and applying the learning model. The model can be applied to improve of  simple explanation and inferencetion skill is a model of problem solving. The purpose of this study was to describe the model of problem solving that are effective in improving simple explanation and inferencetion skills on the material electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution. This research use a quasi-experimental methods with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The samples in this study were high school students Bandar Lampung Fransiskus X4 and X5 class even semester 2012-2013 School Year. Effectiveness of the learning model of problem solving is measured based on a significant increase in gain and t-test. The results showed the average value of n-Gain a simple explanation skills for the control and experimental classes 0.47 and 0.75, while the average n-Gain inferencetion skills to control and experimental classes 0.54 and 0.66. This suggests that learning is effective in improving of simple explanation and inferencetion skills with problem solving.Keywords: Problem Solving, a simple explanation skills, inference skills

Abstract

This research aimed to develop animation media based on chemical representation of electrolyte and non electrolyte solution; describe the characteristics animation media based on chemical representation of electrolyte and non electrolyte solution; describe the teacher and students responses to a animation media based on chemical representation of electrolyte and non electrolyte solution; and know the obstacles encontered when developing animation media based on chemical representation of electrolyte and non electrolyte solution. This research used the Research and Development method. The result showed that based on teacher and students responses the complaince content of animation media was very high 86,87% according teacher, the attractiveness was very high 83,43% according students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit; mendeskripsikan karakteristik media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit; dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang dihadapi ketika mengembangkan animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil tanggapan guru diperoleh data bahwa pada aspek kesesuaian isi media animasi dengan kriteria sangat tinggi sebesar 86,87% dan memiliki tingkat kemenarikan sangat tinggi sebesar 83,43% menurut siswa. Kata kunci: media animasi, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of buffer solution student worksheets based on dicovery learning to impove the SPS related to gender. The method of the research was quasi experimental with 2x2 factorial design. The population was students of grade XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung on academic year 2016-2017 with the 11th of science 2 and 11th of science 4 as sample that which was obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Instruments used were students worksheets based discovery learning and conventional, pretest and postest question. The statistical analysis used two ways ANOVA, t test and t test. The research result showed that there was no relation between learn using student worksheets and gender to SPS, student worksheets on learning using was effective to improve the SPS, male student SPSs was lower than female student SPSs that used student worksheets based on discovery learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS larutan penyangga berbasis discovery learning untuk meningkatkan KPS ditinjau dari gender. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung T.P 2016-2017 dengan kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 4 sebagai sampel penelitian yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah LKS berbasis discovery learning dan konvensional, soal pretes dan postes. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji ANOVA two ways, uji t dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS dan gender terhadap KPS, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS, dan KPS siswa laki-laki yang menggunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning lebih rendah daripada siswa perempuan yang menggunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning.Kata kunci: gender, KPS, larutan penyangga, LKS

Abstract

The research aim to develop student worksheet based science process skills on factors affecting reaction rate topic. This research use research and development (R D) method according to Sugiyono (2008).  But in this research, the steps are only done until main product revision. This research have three steps. The 1st step is needs analysis that consist of literature study and field study. The 2nd step is planning and development that consist of planning preliminary product, develop preliminary product, validation, and preliminary product revision. The 3thstep is preliminary field test and main product revision. The results of this research are student worksheet based science process skills on factors affecting reaction rate topic have very good quality for contents suitability aspect with score 98,46%; for readability aspect according to teacher is 98,00% 87,88% according to students; for beauty aspect according to teacher is 98,46% 86,52% according to students.Key words :  student worksheet, science process skills, factors affecting reaction rate topic.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the discovery learning model to increase students’ flexibility thinking skills on acid-base matery. The method of the research was quasi-experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was all students grade XI in science class of SMA Negeri 1 Pagelaran whose sit in second semester academic in year 2013/2014. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique then obtained XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 classes as sample of reseach. The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between control and experiment classes. The results showed that the average n-Gain in control and experiment classes respectively 0,34 and 0,63. Proving the hyphothesis (t-test) showed that discovery learning model is effective to increase students flexibility thinking skills on acid-base matery.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir fleksibel siswa pada materi asam-basa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pagelaran semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 sebangai sampel penelitian. Efektivitas model discovery learning diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,34 dan 0,63. Abstract

This research aimed to develop interactive e-book anddescribe the responses of teachers and students to interactive e-book developed. The implementation phase of the research was started from need assessment carried out in the Metro city, design and development of interactive e-book products which was developed. Then, the limited test was done at SMA Negeri 1Belitang. Based on the expert validation results, it obtained that the percentages of interactive e-book on aspects of contents suitability with the curriculum,legibility, and construction were 86%; 97.33%; and 100%, respectively. Thepercentages of teachers responses on the aspects of the content suitability of thetest with the curriculum and the graphics were 94% and 92%, respectively,while the students' responses on the aspects of legibility was equal to 89.09%.Based on the result, the interactive e-book on the thermochemical material basedon chemical representation was prospered to be used as learning sources.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif dan mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan. Tahap pelaksanaan penelitian ini dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan yang dilaksanakan di kota Metro, perancangan dan pengembangan produk e-book. Kemudian dilakukan uji coba terbatas di SMA Negeri 1 Belitang. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli diperoleh persentase e-book interaktif pada aspek kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum, keterbacaan, dan konstruksi sebesar 86%; 97,33%; dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek uji kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum dan grafika adalah sebesar 94% dan 92%, sedangkan respon siswa pada aspek keterbacaan adalah sebesar 89,09% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, e-book interaktif pada materi termokimia berbasis representasi kimia layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci: e-book interaktif, representasi kimia, termokimia

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe scientific attitude and improvement of science process skills (SPS) on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution subject using discovery learning. The design of this research is matching only pretest-posttest control group design. Sample were taken by purposive sampling tehnique obtained by class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3. The results showed that learning with discovery learning model is effective to improve science process skills on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution subjct, the percentage of students belonging to the high attitude category on the attitude of curiosity, conscientious, cooperation, and responsibility, has increased every meeting on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution subject using discovery learning model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap ilmiah dan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit menggunakan model discovery learning. Desain penelitian ini adalah the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA 1 dan X IPA 3 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit; serta persentase siswa yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sikap tinggi pada aspek sikap ingin tahu, teliti, kerja sama, dan tanggung jawab mengalami peningkatan di setiap pertemuannya pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit menggunakan model discovery learning.Kata Kunci: discovery learning, larutan elektolit dan non elektrolit, KPS, sikap ilmiah

Abstract

This research was done in SMAN 9 Bandarlampung that aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to improve conceptual understanding on reaction rates topic. Design of this research was the matching only pretest-posttest control group with the IIth grade of XI IPA-5 as experimental class and the IIth grade of XI 6 as control class. The effectiveness of scientific approach was determined by the significant difference of n-gains average between the control and experimental classes and the score of activities. The result showed that n-gain of the control and experimental class was 0.36 and 0.64 respectively. Based on hypotesis testing showed that the different of n-gain was significant. The average of percentage score student activities during learning was 80%. So, it could be conclude that the scientific appoarch effective in improving students conceptual understanding.Telah dilakukan penelitian di SMA Negeri 9 Bandarlampung yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik pada materi laju reaksi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group dengan dua kelas sampel yaitu XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Efektivitas pendekatan saintifik ditentukan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain rata-rata yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen serta skor aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan n-gain rata-rata kelas kontrol dan eksperimen berturut-turut yaitu 0,36 dan 0,64. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan n-gain rata-rata berbeda secara signifikan. Rata-rata persentase skor aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran yaitu 80%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa.Kata kunci : laju reaksi, pemahaman konseptual, pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning model in solubility and solubility product concept to enhance skill in answering questions.  Students who became the subject of this research was  XI grade of Science 1 Batanghari Senior High School in Batanghari Academic Year 2011/2012. This research used the pre-experimental method and one group pretest-posttest design.  The effectiveness of problem solving learning model was determined based on the average value of n-Gain.  The results of this research showed that the average value of n-Gain of skills in answering questions about definition and why were 0,7 and 0,33.  Thus, it can be concluded that the problem solving learning model in solubility and solubility product concept effective to enhance answering question about definition was in high category and answering whyquestion was in medium category.Keywords: problem solving learning, answering questions skills.
