Abstract

This research which used Research and Development method was conducted with the aims to develop the instrument of performance assessment on the experiment activity of mixture separation and to describe teachers responses about it. The research implementation steps were research and collecting the information, planning, developing of preliminary product, preliminary field testing, and main product revision. The characteristics of developed performance assessment instrument were consist of task and the scoring rubric of the most important assessed performance with scoring method that it could help the teachers to solve difficulties when scoring the performance of students simultaneously. The percentage of teachers responses about the product usability, construction, and readability aspect from developed product were 92,00%, 98,09%, and 95,11% respectively. The teachers responses of it was in best criteria.Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen kinerja pada praktikum pemisahan campuran dan mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru. Tahap pelaksanaan dari penelitian ini yaitu penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba lapangan awal, dan revisi hasil uji coba. Karakteristik dari instrumen asesmen kinerja yang dikembangkan yaitu terdiri dari tugas dan rubrik penilaian dari kinerja yang paling penting untuk dinilai dengan metode penilaian yang bisa membantu guru dalam mengatasi kesulitannya ketika menilai kinerja seluruh siswa secara bersamaan. Persentase tanggapan guru terhadap aspek keterpakaian produk, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan dari produk yang dikembangkan berturut-turut adalah 92,00%, 93,33% dan 95,11%. Tanggapan guru tersebut termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik.Kata kunci: asesmen kinerja, pemisahan campuran, pengembangan instrumen asesmen

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem-based learning of detergent waste-pollution improving students’ higher order thinking skills. The method used was quasi experimental by using the matching only pretest and postest control group design. The population of this research was all of students in grade XI MIA one of Senior High School in Bandarlampung and it was obtained class XI MIA1 as experiment class and XI MIA2 as control class. The data analysis technique used was parametric statistic test using t-test. The results showed that posttest score of student’s higher order thinking skills in experiment class was higher than control class and mean of n-gain’s category in experiment class was in medium category, which mean that problem-based learning of detergent waste-pollution was effective to improve students' higher order thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah pencemaran oleh limbah detergen dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching only pretest and postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA salah satu SMA di Bandarlampung dan diperoleh kelas XI MIA1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIA2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik parametrik menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai postes keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dan rata-rata n-gain yang berkategori sedang di kelas eksperimen, yang berarti pembelajaran berbasis masalah pencemaran limbah detergen efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pencemaran oleh limbah detergen, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa

Abstract

This research aims to produce chemical equilibrium module based multiple representations. The research method used is the Research and Development. Subject of this study were 1 chemistry teachers and 20 students of the 2nd grade in 1st state high school Bandar Lampung. The trial results showed that the content of the module is limited in accordance with the curriculum. The presentation of the material in the module has excellent views of the sequence of the material presented, how the presentation of the material, symbolic representation, submicroscopic and macroscopic pre-sented and the questions that have been in accordance with the material and learning objectives. Physically, the modul is a good representation of multiple views of the font size, the separation between paragraphs, layout, use font variations (bold, italic, capital) and color selection. The test results readability aspect above 75% (Strong), or can be said to be good. Keywords: modules, chemical equilibrium, multiple representations

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning to increase students organizing ability on electrolyte and non-electrolyte topic. Population in this research was all of students in the 10th grade of SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung for 2014-2015 academic year. The 1st and 4th of the 10th grade were appointed as sample class by using purposive sampling. This research used quasi experimental method with non equivalent (pretest and postest) control-group design. The effectiveness of discovery learning was showed by the significant difference of the n-Gain in the control and experimental class. The results showed that the average n-Gain of organizing ability of control and experimental class were 0.43 and 0.53, respectively. Based on statistic analysis, discovery learning was effective to improve students organizing ability on electrolyte and non-electrolyte topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan organizing pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014. Kelas X1 dan X4 digunakan sebagai kelas sampel yang diambil menggunanakan purposive sampling. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest and Postest) Control-Group Design. Efektivitas model pembelajaran discovery learning ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan organizing pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,43 dan 0,53. Hasil analisis statistik, disimpulkan bahwa discovery learning efektif meningkatkan kemampuan organizing pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.Kata kunci: discovery learning, elektrolit dan non-elektrolit, kemampuan organizing

Abstract

This research described the effectiveness of hypnoteaching method to increase student’s skills on creative thinking and notion in solubility and solubility products matter.  Subject of this research was 32 students of XI IPA2 SMAN 13 Bandarlampung in academic years 2011-2012.  This research used the one shot chase study. Effectiveness of hypnoteaching learning was measured based on the increasing affective value before and after aplicated it on difined time. The results showed that it could increased both skills.  The creative thinking increased for the first to fifth observation was 21%, 30%, 34%, 44%, and 48%, changed from low to sufficient level.  It’s mean that just a small amount to limit a half of students mastered its.  The other one, notion skill increased for the first to fifth meeting was 27%, 45%, 61%, 70% and 65%, changed from low to good level. It’s mean that just a small amount to big amount of students mastered its.Keywords: hypnoteaching, creative thinking skill, notion skill, pre-experiment, one-shot chase study

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to increase student’s fluency thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material.  The population of this research was all students in XI science class of SMA Negeri 1 Bangunrejo whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013-2014 and the samples were XI 1 and XI 2 of science class.  The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique.  The method of the research was quasi-experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The effectiveness of scientific approach was measured based on the significant difference of n-Gain score between control class and experiment class.  The result of research showed that the average n-Gain score of student’s fluency thinking skills for control class was 0,2462 and 0,5165 for experiment class.  Based on the hypothesis testing, it was known that scientific approach learning was effective to increase student’s fluency thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bangunrejo semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014 dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2.  Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,2462 dan 0,5165.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Kata kunci: kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir lancar, pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

This research was using research and development method which purposed to develop the student worksheets based on science process skills on the topic of stoichiometry, and to describe teachers and students responses about the student worksheets as development product. The student worksheets as development product was tested in the 10th grade of SMAN 14 and SMAN 9 Bandar Lampung to indentity the teachers and students responses. From the results of the teachers responses towards students worksheets which were developed, namely students worksheets based on science process skills on the stoichiometry of chemistry, it were obtained the percentage in aspects of the suitability of the contents, the constructions, and the readability were 88,17%; 88%; and 89,04%, respectively. The results of student responses to the readability and attractiveness were 88,52% and 87,07%, respectively. The result showed that the suitability of contents, the constructions, the readibility, the attractiveness aspects were classified very high category. Based on it, the students worksheets was declared feasible to be used.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis keterampilan proses sains pada materi stoikiometri, dan untuk mendriskripsikan respon guru dan siswa tentang lembar kerja siswa sebagai produk pengembangan. Lembar kerja siswa sebagai produk pengembangan diujikan di kelas X pada SMAN 14 dan SMAN 9 Bandar Lampung untuk mengidentifikasi respon guru dan siswa. Dari hasil tanggapan guru terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan yaitu LKS berbasis keterampilan proses sains pada materi stoikiometri, diperoleh persentase pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan sebesar 88,17%; 88%; dan 89,04%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap keterbacaan dan kemenarikan sebesar 88,52% dan 87,07%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan yang semuanya dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan keterangan di atas, diperoleh bahwa LKS sudah dapat digunakan.Kata kunci: stoikiometri, keterampilan proses sains, LKS

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the effectiveness of interactive e-book on acid-base topic based on chemical representation to improving students' conceptual understanding. The research design used was the matching only pretest and postest control group design. The population in this research weres all students in grade XI IPA SMA Melinting, Lampung Timur. The sample of the research were the students of class XI IPA I and XI IPA 2. The instruments that used were experiments class syllabus, experiments class RPP, pretest and postest equestions. Data analysed by using t-test. The results showed that posttest score of students conceptual understanding in experiment class was higher than control class and mean of n-gains category in experiment class was in high category. The conclusion of this research was learning using interactive e-book based on chemical representation was effective to improve students' conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas e-book interaktif berbasis representasi kimia pada materi asam basa dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah the matching only pretest and postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Melinting, Lampung Timur. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas XI IPA I dan XI IPA 2. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah silabus kelas eksperimen, RPP kelas eksperimen, soal pretes dan postes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai postes pemahaman konsep siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada nilai postes pemahaman konsep siswa di kelas kontrol dan rata-rata n-gain yang berkategori tinggi di kelas eksperimen. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran menggunakan e-book interaktif berbasis representasi kimia efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa.Kata kunci: asam basa, e-book, pemahaman konsep siswa

Abstract

This study aims to develop the student worksheet representation based on the material chemical buffer solution, describe the responses of teachers and students' responses to the worksheet based on the chemical representation of matter buffer solution. This study uses the Research and Development consists of three stages: 1) analysis of requirements, 2) planning and development, and 3) evaluation. Based upon the responses Guru, developed the student worksheet obtained data about aspects of the suitability of the content of 85.00%, 84.00% aspects of legibility and attractiveness of the aspects of 81.53%, while based on student responses obtained data on aspects of legibility at 87.46 % and the aspect of the attractiveness of 85.13%. Results of Teacher and Student response states that the student worksheet has developed a very high quality. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan penyangga, mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu 1) analisis kebutuhan, 2) perencanaan dan pengembangan, dan 3) evaluasi.  Berdasarkan tanggapan Guru, LKS yang dikembangkan diperoleh data tentang aspek  kesesuaian isi sebesar 85,00%, aspek  keterbacaan sebesar 84,00% dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 81,53% , sedangkantanggapan siswa diperoleh data tentang aspek keterbacaan sebesar 87,46% dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 85,13%.  Hasil dari tanggapan Guru dan Siswa menyatakan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas sangat tinggi.  Kata kunci       : larutan penyangga, lembar kerja siswa, representasi kimia

Abstract

This study which was using research and development (RD) method was conducted with the purposes to develop assessment performance instrument, and to describe its characteristics, the teachers responses, the supporting factors and constraints encountered during the research. The characteristics of developed product were included task, scoring rubric with two performance that so representative, scoring method which simple and easy, so that it was possible to use when assessing the performance of students in experiment activities. The teachers gave a very good responses to the content legibility, construction, and product used aspect of developed assessment performance instrument which the percentage of them were 88.15%, 89.33%, and 84.44%, respectively.Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan instrument asesmen kinerja yang sederhana pada praktikum pengaruh luas permukaan terhadap laju reaksi, mendeskripsikan karakteristiknya, tanggapan pendidik kimia, faktor-faktor pendukung dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini. Karakterisitik dari produk yang dikembangkan ini terdiri dari task dan rubrik penilaian dengan dua kinerja yang paling mewakili dan cara penskoran yang mudah dan praktis, sehingga memungkinkan untuk digunakan ketika menilai kinerja siswa pada kegiatan praktikum. Pendidik telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek keterbacaan, konstruksi dan keterpakaian produk dengan persentase dari masing-masing aspek secara berturut-turut 88,15%, 89,33%, dan 84,44%.Kata kunci: instrumen asesmen kinerja praktikum, pengembangan, pengaruh luas permukaan terhadap laju reaksi
