Abstract

This research was aimed to develop interactive e-book and describe its characteristics and validity as well as to describe the teachers and students responses to the product. This research used Borg and Gall method of research and development with only focused on the first five stages. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis. The expert validation showed that the average percentage on content suitability aspect was 97.5% with very high criteria, while construction and readability aspects were 71.4% and 77.26% respectively with high criteria. The average percentage of teachers responses on content suitability, construction, and readability aspects were 100%, 92.4%, and 91.4% respectively with very high criteria, while students responses on attractiveness and readability aspects were 80.3% and 80.5% respectively with very high criteria. Based on the results, the product generated by this research was valid and worthy as a source of learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan validitas e-book interaktif, serta mendesrkispikan tanggapan guru dan siswa mengenai produk tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang hanya dilakukan sampai lima tahap pertama. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase aspek kesesuaian isi sebesar 97,5% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, sedangkan aspek konstruksi dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 71,4% dan 77,26% dengan kriteria tinggi. Rata-rata persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 100%, 92,4%, dan 91,4% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, serta rata-rata persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek kemenarikan dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 80,3% dan 80,5% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, produk yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini valid dan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci: e-book interaktif, ikatan kimia, representasi kimia

Abstract

This quasi experimental research using the matching only pretest-posttest control group design aimed to describe the effectiveness of Science Process Skills (SPS) oriented students worksheets in increasing students SPS at reaction rate topic. Population in this research was all students of XI IPA at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung in 2016/2017 academic year. The sample were obtained by total sampling technique with XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and XI IPA 2 as a control class. The data analysis techniques used in this research were the calculation of pretest value, posttest value, and n-gain of students SPS. The results revealed that the posttest average value of the students in the experimental class was higher than control class. Moreover, the average of students n-gain in experimental class and control class were 0.53 (medium criteria) and 0.30 (medium criteria), respectively. It can be concluded that the SPS oriented students worksheets were effective to improve students SPS.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching only pretest-posttest control group design bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS berorientasi KPS dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi laju reaksi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik sampling total dengan kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan nilai pretes, postes, dan n-gain KPS siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, rata-rata n-gain siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut sebesar 0,53 (kriteria sedang) dan 0,30 (kriteria sedang). Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berorientasi KPS efektif dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, laju reaksi, LKS

Abstract

This study aims to develop scienceprocess skills (SPS) based assessmenton material influence ofthe rate of reaction.The research methodused is theResearchand Development (RD).The results of this assessment, the development of the 15 multiple choice questions on the grounds, and 8 essay questions that measure indicators of cognitive products, and indicator SPS students who presented using macroscopic representation, submicroscopic representation, and symbolic.Results from the limited  testing it is known that SPSbased assessmentis in accordancewith thecurriculum of the SK-KD is the  percentage of 95.20%, is in accordance with the indicator SPS is the percentage 98.18%, has a very highlevel oflegibilityto the percentage of 86.56%, and has a very highlevel of interesting with thepercentage of88.33%. Based on theresponsesof teachers, SPS based assessmentis feasible for students tested.Keywords: assessment, reaction rate, scienceprocess skills

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry model on redox reactions to increase the answering clarification answering questions ability. The samples in this research were the 1st and 2nd of the 10th grade as experimental and control class which obtained by using purposive sampling technique from all of the 10th grade students in SMAN 2 Gadingrejo on 2014/2015 Academic Years. This research used quasi experiment method with non-equivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design. The learning effectiveness was showed by a different significantly of n-Gain in experimental and control class. The results showed that the average of n-Gain of the answering clarification questions ability on experimental and control class were 0.63 and 0.22 respectively. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, guided inquiry model was effective to increase the answering clarification questions ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada reaksi redoks dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menjawab pertanyaan klarifikasi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X1dan X2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dari seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Gadingrejo Tahun Pelajaran 2014-2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan non-eqiuvalent (pretest-posttest) control group design. Efektivitas pembelajaran ditunjukkan dengan adanya perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan menjawab pertanyaan klarifikasi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut adalah 0,63 dan 0,22. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menjawab pertanyaan klarifikasi. Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of advance organizer learning model to enhance the skill of reporting observation result and giving reason skill on the material of solubility and solubility product. The subject in this research were students XI grade of Science 3 SMA N 7 Bandarlampung, Academic Year 2011/2012.  This research used a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The effectiveness of advance organizer learning model was measured by the N-gain mean.  Based on the results of this research, the average of N-gain value for reporting observation result skill is 0,67 and the average of N-gain value for giving reason skill is 0,54. This shows that (1) a model of advance organizer is effective to enhance the skill of reporting observation result in the medium category (2) a model of advance organizeris effective to enhance the skill of giving reason in the medium category.Keywords: Advance Organizer learning model, the observation result report skill and the give reason skill

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s evaluation skills on chemical equilibrium subject matters.  The population of this research was students in grade XI science class of Senior High School Muhammadiyah 1 Metro odd semester of academic year 2013-2014.  The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and these were XI 1 and XI 2 of science class.  The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between control and experiment class.  The result showed that the average n-gain of student’s evaluation skills of control class was 0,37 and 0,64 for experiment class.  The result of hypothesis testing showed that discovery learning model was effective to increase student’s evaluation skills on chemical equilibrium subject matters.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengevaluasi pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Metro semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 .  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Grup Design.  Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain keterampilan mengevaluasi pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,37 dan 0,64.  Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengevaluasi pada meteri kesetimbangan kimia.  Kata kunci: kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan mengevaluasi, model discovery learning

Abstract

This research using RD method was conducted with the aim to develop an interactive e-book on chemical equilibrium topic based on chemical representation and to describes the characteristics of an interactive e-book, the teachers and studentss responses, the supporting factors and constraints encountered during the research. The characteristics of developed interactive e-book were based on everyday life phenomena and accompanied with an image, animation, or video based chemical representation (macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic). The teacher gave a very good response to the contents suitability and graphically aspect and the students gave a very good responses to the legibility aspects of an interactive e-book which the percentage of them were 98.46%; 98.00%; and 86.63%, respectively.Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif kesetimbangan kimia berbasis representasi kimia dan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik e-book interaktif, tanggapan guru dan siswa, faktor-faktor pendukung, dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini. Karakteristik dari e-book interaktif hasil pengembangan ini berbasis fenomena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan dilengkapi dengan gambar, animasi, atau video yang sudah berbasis representasi kimia (makroskopik, submakroskopik, dan simbolik). Guru telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi dan grafika serta siswa telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek keterbacaan dengan persentase dari masing-masing aspek secara berturut-turut 98,46%; 98,00%; dan 86,63%.Kata kunci: e-book interaktif, kesetimbangan kimia, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe effectiveness of advance organizer learning model in improving skill in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion. Subject in this research was Grade XI students in classroom IPA3 in State Senior High School 7 in Bandar Lampung in even semester of academic year 2011-2012. This research used pre-experiment method with One-group Pretest-posttest design. Effectiveness of advance organizer learning model was indicated by improvement of n-gain values of pretest and posttest. The n-gain estimation results were subsequently interpreted with n-gain index suggested by Hake. The research results showed that the averages of ­n-gain of skill in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion were 0.55 (middle category) and 0.47 (middle category) respectively. The conclusion is that the advance organizerlearning model is effective in improving skills of expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion.Keywords: advance organizer learning model, skills in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the abilities of answering questions of what your main point and why on the colloid subject using problem solving models for high, intermediate and low level cognitive group of students. The subjects were students of class XI IPA5 SMA Negeri 1 Natar Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the pre-experimental method, one-shot case studydesign, and descriptive research. The results showed that the ability answering question of what your main point in high level group, 60% were excellent, and 40% were good; intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 40% were good, and 45% were enough; low level group, 10% were good, 60% enough, and 30% were less.  The ability answering question of why in high level group, 60% were excellent, and 40% were good; intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 45% were good, and 40% were enough; low level group, 40% were good, and 60% were enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan apa alasan utama anda dan mengapa pada materi koloid menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk siswa kelompok kognitif tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA5 SMA Negeri 1 Natar tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen, desain one-shot case study, dan analisis data deskriptif. Abstract
