Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is an important horticultural commodity in Indonesia, but its productivity fluctuates, particularly in Jambi Province, where most agricultural land consists of low-fertility Ultisol soil. One solution to improve soil fertility is the use of solid decanter. This study aims to evaluate the effect of solid decanter on phosphorus availability from natural phosphate fertilizer, heavy metal reduction, and its impact on the growth and yield of shallots in Ultisol soil. Conducted in Kenali Asam, Jambi City, using a 4 × 4 factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD), the results show that the interaction between solid decanter and TSP fertilizer significantly affects plant height, bulb count, and bulb weight, but not leaf number or bulb size. The combination enhances nutrient absorption efficiency and supports optimal shallot growth. In conclusion, combining solid decanter and TSP fertilizer doses increases shallot yield, particularly in plant height, bulb count, and weight.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Lulusan perguruan tinggi teknik sipil di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah timur seperti Papua, sering menghadapi kesenjangan antara kemampuan akademik dan keterampilan teknis yang dibutuhkan industri konstruksi. Tujuan: Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi teknis dan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa melalui pelatihan dan uji sertifikasi kompetensi resmi yang difasilitasi oleh Balai Jasa Konstruksi Wilayah VII Jayapura bekerja sama dengan Universitas Yapis Papua. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kuantitatif berbasis pelatihan intervensi dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 30 mahasiswa tingkat akhir dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest, observasi praktik, serta hasil uji sertifikasi oleh LSP. Analisis menggunakan uji t berpasangan dan evaluasi deskriptif. Hasil : Skor rata-rata peserta meningkat dari 58,3 (pretest) menjadi 82,6 (posttest). Sebanyak 90% peserta dinyatakan lulus dalam uji sertifikasi kompetensi oleh asesor tersertifikasi BNSP. Tingkat kepuasan peserta terhadap pelatihan mencapai 4,7 dari 5. Temuan menunjukkan pelatihan ini efektif secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa.. Kesimpulan: Program pelatihan dan sertifikasi kompetensi ini efektif dalam menjawab gap antara akademik dan praktik industri, khususnya di daerah 3T seperti Papua.

Abstract

Lake Sentani, one of the largest lakes in Papua, plays a vital role as a provider of life for the local community but is threatened by human activities. The eco-theology approach emphasizes the moral relationship between humans and nature as a divine mandate. The research method is qualitative and descriptive, with data collected through in-depth interviews with local stakeholders, authorities, and religious figures. Secondary data from previous research and relevant scientific publications are also used. The research findings indicate that maintaining the balance between humans, the lake, and its ecosystem is crucial for the sustainability of Lake Sentani. The local community holds a decisive view of the lake, considering it as “phuyakha phu reai wali” or the lake is my life. This perspective reflects a deep moral connection with the natural environment and their moral responsibility to care for it. Conservation efforts include biodiversity studies, increasing public awareness, and sustainable management. In conclusion, preserving Lake Sentani is not only an ecological issue but also has a strong spiritual dimension. The eco-theological approach highlights the moral responsibility of humans to care for nature as a divine trust. To maintain ecological balance and the well-being of the local community, conservation efforts involving local communities and relevant stakeholders are essential to ensure the lake's sustainability as a source of life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan sistem pengisian baterai yang efektif untuk lampu LED warna merah dan biru, guna mendukung karya seni menggunakan teknik anaglif double exposure. Sebelumnya, telah ada penelitian yang membahas tentang pembuatan teknik gambar dualisme dengan teknik anaglif double exposure, serta karya seniman Carnovsky RGB yang memamerkan hasil karyanya, namun masih belum banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat. Selain itu, penelitian terdahulu juga menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan berpikir kritis pada anak belajar dapat didukung dengan sistem pencahayaan yang tepat. Proyek  ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem penggunaan buck converter sebagai pengisian baterai untuk lampu penerangan bervariasi 3 warna, masing-masing memiliki spesifikasi 12 Volt 5 Watt. Tegangan dari PLN akan digunakan untuk mengisi baterai 12,6 Volt 10 Ah. Sistem pengisian baterai ini menggunakan buck converter yang dikontrol melalui mikrokontroler STM32F103C8T6 sehingga dapat menghasilkan tegangan yang dibutuhkan oleh baterai dengan tepat. Monitoring daya melalui Bluetooth memungkinkan penggunaan lampu yang efisien. Hasil utama dari proyek ini adalah pengembangan sistem pengisian baterai yang berhasil dan dapat memaksimalkan fungsi lampu warna merah dan biru sebagai alat pencahayaan gambar anaglyph. Dengan efisiensi buck converter yang mencapai hingga 84 persen, proses pengecasan dapat berjalan dengan baik pada tegangan masukan 24 Volt dan keluaran stabil 13,5 Volt. Sensor RGB yang digunakan berhasil membaca berbagai macam warna LED sehingga dapat mengidentifikasi warna dan gambar yang terbaca. Proyek ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan teknologi yang mendukung karya seni anaglyph dan memungkinkan para seniman untuk menampilkan karya mereka tanpa khawatir kehabisan daya pada lampu gambar. This research focuses on developing an efficient battery charging system for red and blue LED lights to support artwork using the anaglyph double exposure technique. Previous studies have discussed the creation of dual-image techniques with anaglyph double exposure and the works of artist Carnovsky RGB, who showcased his art, though it remains relatively unknown to the public. Additionally, earlier research indicates that enhancing critical thinking in children can be supported by appropriate lighting systems. This project aims to design a system using a buck converter for charging batteries for varied lighting with three colors, each with specifications of 12 Volts and 5 Watts. The mains electricity (PLN) will be used to charge a 12.6 Volt 10 Ah battery. The battery charging system employs a buck converter controlled by an STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller, ensuring the battery receives the correct voltage. Power monitoring via Bluetooth enables efficient use of the lights. The primary outcome of this project is the successful development of a battery charging system that maximizes the functionality of red and blue lights as illumination tools for anaglyph images. With a buck converter efficiency of up to 84 percent, the charging process works well at an input voltage of 24 Volts and a stable output of 13.5 Volts. The RGB sensor used successfully reads various LED colors, allowing it to identify colors and images accurately. This project contributes to technological advancements supporting anaglyph art, enabling artists to display their work without worrying about the power supply for their lighting.

Abstract

Penggunaan sepeda motor oleh remaja yang baru memiliki SIM menjadi perhatian serius. Banyak dari mereka mengendarai dengan tingkat emosi tinggi, yang tidak hanya membahayakan diri mereka sendiri tetapi juga orang lain di sekitar mereka. Oleh karena itu, pengawasan ketat dari orang tua sangat diperlukan untuk mencegah kecelakaan. Meskipun sepeda motor pada umumnya aman, risiko kecelakaan meningkat secara signifikan karena kecepatan berlebihan dan penggunaan di jalan raya yang tidak sesuai. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem monitoring kecepatan dan lokasi sepeda motor menggunakan IoT. Sistem ini bertujuan untuk melacak kecepatan dan lokasi sepeda motor secara real-time, memastikan agar mereka tidak melebihi batas kecepatan aman dan menghindari rute berbahaya. Dengan demikian, orang tua dapat dengan cepat mengetahui posisi anak mereka dan merespons situasi darurat jika diperlukan. Sistem ini menggunakan mikrokontroler STM32F103C8T6, sensor kecepatan, dan sensor lokasi, dengan perangkat Android sebagai antarmuka pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sensor kecepatan yang diuji memiliki akurasi yang baik. Untuk pengukuran kecepatan dalam rpm, pada tachometer 60,4 rpm, speedometer 58,946 rpm dan sensor mencatat 60 rpm dengan kesalahan 0,66% terhadap tachometer dan 1,78% terhadap speedometer. Untuk pengukuran kecepatan dalam km/jam, pada speedometer 5 km/jam dan sensor mencatat 5 km/jam dengan persentase error 0%, pada speedometer 30 km/jam dan sensor mencatat 31 km/jam dengan persentase error 3,3%. Pengujian sensor lokasi juga menunjukkan akurasi yang baik, yang diverifikasi dengan Google Maps. Dalam sistem ini data latitude dan longitude akan terus berubah sesuai pergerakan sepeda motor, untuk tetap memastikan pemantauan posisi secara real-time. The use of motorcycles by newly licensed teenagers is a serious concern due to their often high emotional state, posing risks not only to themselves but also to others. Hence, strict parental supervision is crucial to prevent accidents. While motorcycles are generally safe, the risk of accidents significantly increases due to excessive speed and improper road usage. To address this issue, this study developed an IoT-based system for monitoring motorcycle speed and location. The system aims to track these metrics in real-time, ensuring adherence to safe speed limits and avoiding hazardous routes. This enables parents to quickly locate their children and respond to emergencies promptly. The system utilizes an STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller, speed sensor, and location sensor, with an Android device serving as the user interface. Test results demonstrate the accuracy of the speed sensor: at 60.4 rpm on the tachometer, the speedometer showed 58.946 rpm, while the sensor recorded 60 rpm with a 0.66% error against the tachometer and 1.78% against the speedometer. For speed measurements in km/h, the sensor accurately recorded 5 km/h when the speedometer read 5 km/h (0% error) and 31 km/h when the speedometer read 30 km/h (3.3% error). Location sensor testing confirmed its accuracy, validated by Google Maps. The system continually updates latitude and longitude data based on motorcycle movement, ensuring real-time position monitoring.

Abstract

Nowadays, sport has become a human need, both entertainment and a hobby for people (Lukito & Fahmi, 2020). Most of the sports that Indonesian people are interested in are game-type sports, one of which is volleyball. Volleyball is one of the most popular sports, and has even been ranked as the sport with the second most fans in the world (Damayanti et al., 2022). In volleyball, basic physical components determine the quality of movement during the game (Asnaldi, 2020). In the game of volleyball, muscle explosive power is the most substantial basic physical component, so this is the background for this research. This research aims to determine the relationship between leg length and leg muscle contraction speed and leg muscle explosive power at Hasanuddin University Volleyball UKM. This research is a quantitative study with a model using a cross sectional approach, the sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained 36 samples that met the inclusion criteria. The results of the correlation test using the Pearson test between the independent and dependent variables showed significance (>0.05). It can be concluded that there is no relationship between leg length and leg muscle contraction speed and leg muscle explosive power in members of Hasanuddin University Volleyball UKM.

Abstract

In recent years, optimization techniques have played a central role in enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making across diverse industrial sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and transportation, energy, healthcare, and agriculture. These sectors face complex, large-scale, and often nonlinear challenges that demand both precision and adaptability. The research contribution of this review is to provide a structured classification of optimization methods—namely exact algorithms, heuristics, metaheuristics, and AI-integrated hybrid models—and to critically evaluate their practical applications, limitations, and emerging trends across industries. This study adopts a review approach to identify and compare those techniques in solving various optimization problems. Through a detailed analysis of over 30 recent publications for last four years, the review highlights how these techniques are being applied in real-world industrial environments, including cold chain logistics, smart energy systems, precision agriculture, and healthcare scheduling. The results indicate a growing reliance on hybrid and AI-enhanced models due to their superior scalability, adaptability, and potential alignment with Industry 4.0 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, challenges remain in areas such as computational efficiency, model interpretability, and real-time data integration. In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners seeking to apply optimization techniques more effectively in industrial systems, while also identifying critical research gaps for future exploration by addressing the growing complexity and sustainability demands of modern industry.

Abstract

Abstract: Home industries producing palm sugar from oil palm sap in several rural areas continue to face various challenges, particularly in product marketing. Limited access to technology, lack of knowledge about digital marketing, and dependence on local markets are the main obstacles in increasing sales productivity. This community engagement activity aims to provide assistance and training to home industry actors so they can utilize digital media as a broader and more effective marketing tool. A participatory approach is implemented in this activity through counseling, hands-on training, and technical assistance in creating digital content, using social media, and accessing e-commerce platforms. Evaluation was conducted through interviews and surveys with business actors before and after the training. The results of the program show an improvement in participants’ understanding of digital marketing, their ability to create promotional content, and success in reaching a wider market. The conclusion of this activity is that digital marketing has a positive impact on increasing the sales productivity of palm sugar and opens up more competitive and sustainable business opportunities for local industry players. Keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi, kurangnya pemahaman tentang pemasaran digital, serta bergantungnya penjualan pada pasar lokal menjadi hambatan utama dalam meningkatkan produktivitas penjualan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan kepada pelaku usaha home industri agar mampu memanfaatkan media digital sebagai sarana pemasaran yang lebih luas dan efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan langsung, serta pendampingan teknis dalam pembuatan konten digital, penggunaan media sosial, dan platform e-commerce. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui wawancara dan survei terhadap pelaku industri sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pelaku usaha terhadap pemasaran digital, kemampuan membuat konten promosi, serta keberhasilan dalam menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa pemasaran digital memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan produktivitas penjualan gula merah kelapa sawit, serta membuka peluang usaha yang lebih kompetitif dan berkelanjutan bagi pelaku industri lokal. Abstract

Water turbine is one of the driving machines where the working fluid is water that is used directly to spin the turbine runner. This research was conducted using a pelton type water turbine installastion with variations In the shape of the turbine blade. The research method used is an experimental method with a laboratory scale experimental design as well as the results of the design of this water turbine used as a practical tool for students majoring in mechanical engineering. The results showed the influence of turbine blade shape on the performance of the pelton water turbine prototype, so it can be concluded that the maximum tangential velocity is 12.141 rad/s, the hydraulic power value is 2.64 Watts, the kinetic power value is 3.886 Watts, maximum turbine power 99.141 Watts, maximum electric generator power 99.141 Watts, maximum turbine efficiency 25.512 %, and maximum electric generator efficiency 0.661 %.

Abstract

Battery is a very important necessity as an electrical energy storage for DC load type. However, as electric energy storage, the battery has a limit storage capacity. The battery must be recharged when the electrical energy stored in the battery has been exhausted to keep the DC load in operation. Unfortunately, batteries in different types of DC loads have different voltages and capacities. So for charging the battery also requires a different voltage. While the existing battery charger is generally static specifically for one type of battery. From this problem, the paper proposed an adaptive power charge system. A system that can adaptively charge electrical energy on batteries that have different voltages and capacities through one port. The converter used in this paper is the buck converter to lower the output voltage from the input voltage. The system uses tracking duty cycle to know the type of DC load. After knowing the type of dc load then the system determines the setting point voltage. To keep the output voltage stable, the system uses PID control. With this adaptive power charge, the charging process will be more efficient and multifunction because it can be used for various types of DC load. The system can provide an output voltage of 19 volts when connected to a laptop and provides an output voltage of 5 volts when connected to a mobile phone on setling time 10ms.
