Abstract

Students must have high self-confidence in learning physical education because self-confidence affects individual motor skill performance. The purpose of this study was to reveal differences in the influence of internal and external visual imagery on students' self-confidence in learning gymnastics with cartwheel material. This research is multiple linear regression experimental research. The number of samples in this study was 68 students. Actions are carried out by integrating internal and external visual imagery exercises in gymnastic learning. The data collection technique uses a self-confidence scale as an instrument. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that internal and external visual imagery had a significant effect on students' self-confidence (p=0.000 0.05), but there was a significant difference between internal and external visual imagery training (p=0.027 0.05) so that the internal visual imagery training method is better than the external imagery method (M=71.2941 67.8824). The results of this study indicate that students' self-confidence in performing wheel motion skills can be increased through internal and external visual imagery exercises that are integrated into the learning process, but internal visual imagery training methods are preferred.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between physical fitness and psychological well-being, on the quality of life of the elderly, who are members of gymnastics groups. This cross-sectional study used the World Health Organization QOL short-form questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF), a senior fitness test, and a psychological well-being scale. The sample consisted of 99 people aged 65 years and members of the elderly exercise community. As a result, no significant relationship was observed. Only three senior fitness test items 6-minute walk, 2-minute step, and sit and reach best explained the overall quality of life in physical, psychological, and environmental domains in the study group. The physical domain and overall quality of life are less significant for all dimensions of psychological well-being. The physical domain correlates only with the environmental mastery dimension, and overall, quality of life correlates better with the two psychological well-being dimensions. In conclusion, psychological well-being is closely related to quality of life, especially in the psychological, social, and environmental domains.

Abstract

EFFECTIVENESS OF BRAIN JOGGING MODEL TO IMPROVE CREATIVE THINKING ABILITY AbstractThis study aims to examine the effect of the Brain jogging model of training to improve the creative thinking skills of elementary school students. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a control group design. The sample in this study were upper class students. The researcher took parallel classes A and B to be designated as the experimental group and the control group respectively. The experimental group was given a learning model based on brain jogging while the control group used the direct instruction model. The experimental group numbered 30, as well as the control group. So that the total population in this study amounted to 60 people. The data collection technique uses the quantitative test method to pre-test data students in each experimental group and control group. Based on the output of pair 1, it was obtained a sig (2 tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average results of creative thinking skills for the experimental class pretest and the post test experiment class (Brain Jogging learning model). Based on the output of pair 2, a sig (2tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05 is obtained, so it can be concluded that there is an average difference in the ability to think creatively for the pre-test control class and the posttest control class with conventional learning models. Based on the post-test t test, it is known that the average experimental class learning result is 21.00 and the control class learning average is 19.18, so it can be concluded that the average experimental class learning result is 1.88 greater than the control class (21.00 > 19.18) and the significance value is less than 0.05 (p = 0.000 <0.05). It can be concluded that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes scores in the experimental class and the control class.
