Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the e-sports view of an athlete, the athlete in question is someone who is engaged in sports involving physical activity and movement with national scale achievements. The method in this research is observational with a quantitative descriptive design. The sample in this study amounted to 158 National athletes of Riau Province. The sampling technique represents all sports in Riau Province which are selected based on being in the appropriate situation, time, and place, with the purposive sampling technique. In this study, using a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale, there were four category assessments, namely strongly agree, agree, disagree, strongly disagree. The data analysis used is a survey method carried out with a questionnaire and the scores obtained and an analysis of the e-sport category using the SPSS 25 application. The results reveal that sportsmen view e-sport as a sport even though there is no strenuous physical activity but there is light physical activity in it. especially in motor movement. The percentage acquisition of 14.6% is good. Then in the sufficient category, the percentage is 25.9%. While the moderate category of the presentation was 30.4%. For the category less the percentage is 20.9%. For the last category is bad 8.2%. The results reveal that sportsmen agree that e-sport is a sport. Abstract

The research was conducted because of the various factors that influence the success of the pointing throw, so the evidence is needed for the factors that contribute to its success. This research aims to analyze the factors that give success in pointing throws. The method applied in this study uses descriptive correlational analysis to obtain a factor of determination on the results of the pointing throw. The subjects were 15 male athletes aged 15-17 years registered at FOPI Pati Regency with a total sampling technique. The results of data analysis show that the analysis of the physical component factors at pointing explains the formation of 3 components in the independent variable. This is shown in each component formed to have their respective contributions. Component 1 with member variables Eye-hand Coordination, Concentration, and Kinesthetic Perception has an effect of 42.937%, component 2 with member variables Arm muscle strength, wrist flexibility, and balancing have an effect of 19.403%, and component 3 with member variable Sleeve length has an influence of 13.508%. This study concludes that athletes with Eye-hand Coordination, Concentration, and Kinesthetic Perception will have a high pointing success rate on petanque.

Abstract

Mastery of skills in tennis is very important to master for tennis players, especially beginner tennis players who need a lot of practice time to master the skills. Currently, tennis players only have a little time to practice, given the short duration of training with a coach. A training model that can improve beginners' mastery of tennis skills is needed. This study aimed to determine the success and effectiveness of the court tennis coach model developed for novice tennis players to improve their skills. The research method used in this study is research and development (R&D). The subjects in this study were divided into 2 stages, a small experimental stage of 15 athletes and a large trial stage of 40 athletes. The instrument in this study used a tennis dyer test. Based on the results of the assessment of sports equipment development materials, tennis coaches who are competent in their fields and sports test and measurement experts in the study "Development of coach-based tennis skills training for novice athletes" stated that the quality of assistive devices is categorized as "good" for use. Based on the paired sample t-test in this study, it is known that the Sig value (2-tailed) is 0.000, which means less than 0.05 or 0.000 < 0.05. Then, there is a real difference between the pre-test and post-test dyer tennis test data for beginner court tennis athletes. The developed model of court tennis coaches is effective for novice field tennis athletes.

Abstract

Background: Emotional management is a key psychological factor influencing futsal performance, but available measurement instruments are still general in nature, lack sport-specific validation, and have not been tested on Indonesian futsal athletes. Aims: This study seeks to rigorously validate and confirm the factor structure of an emotional management instrument designed explicitly for Indonesian futsal athletes, thereby strengthening its scientific and contextual relevance calculations with CFA. Methods:  Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was performed on data from 438 athletes recruited through incidental sampling across multiple regions in Indonesia. The emotional management instrument comprised 23 items that had previously undergone rigorous content validation by experts, including psychologists, national-level futsal coaches, and sport science academics. Model fit indices, convergent validity, and internal consistency reliability were systematically evaluated to ensure the robustness of the measurement model. Results: The five-factor model demonstrated excellent fit to the data (e.g., CFI > .95, TLI > .95, RMSEA < .06, SRMR < .08). All factors had AVEs above 0.50, indicating strong convergent validity. Reliability indices were high, with McDonald's ω and Cronbach's α exceeding .70 for all factors. Conclusion: The results indicate that the emotional management instrument demonstrates satisfactory validity, reliability, and structural integrity for application among Indonesian futsal athletes, thereby providing a robust framework for psychological assessment and supporting future research, talent development, and mental training programs.

Abstract

Study purpose. Physical education learning is still dominated by a teacher-centered approach that emphasizes mastery of technical skills, so that affective aspects such as responsibility and cooperation are often neglected. This situation results in students’ low social skills in actively and collaboratively participating in learning activities. Therefore, an innovative, student-centered learning model is needed to address these issues. The purpose of this study is to enhance the sense of responsibility and cooperation among students with disabilities in physical education classes through the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) method. Materials and methods. This study is a classroom action research project involving 28 eighth-grade students from SMP Pembangunan V Yapis Waena in Jayapura City (average age ±13–14 years), all of whom have disabilities. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 26. Results. The results showed that in the pre-cycle, the average score for responsibility was 40, with 5 students (17.86%) meeting the standard; for cooperation, 3 students (10.71%) met the standard. In the first cycle, the average score was 66, with 13 students (46.42%) meeting the standard for responsibility and 12 students (42.85%) met the mastery criteria for cooperation. In the second cycle, the average score was 75, with 28 students (100%) meeting the mastery criteria. Thus, there was an increase from the first cycle to the second cycle, reaching 100%. Furthermore, 100%  of the 28 students met the Minimum Mastery Criteria of 75. Conclusions. In conclusion, the TGfU model is effective in enhancing responsibility and cooperation among students with disabilities in physical education. This study underscores the importance of implementing game-based learning models to holistically support the character development and social competencies of students with disabilities.
