Abstract

Previous studies have shown that the creativity of students who are prospective biology teacher is still low. Even though some efforts have been made, the level of creativity is still low and needs to be improved. This is important before the students become teachers in the community. This study thus aims to examine the effectiveness of the reflective learning model in improving the creativity of students who are prospective biology teachers. This is a literature review study that collect references from various sources, such as journals on Google Scholar, Science Direct, Mendeley and many more to answer the research question. The results showed that the reflective learning model can improve creativity; thus, it is recommended to be applied by lecturers in teaching students who are prospective biology teachers. Abstract

Berdasarkan survey di MGMP Biologi di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat diperoleh data bahwa guru-guru biologi disana mengalami kesulitan dalam membuat perangkat pembelajaran biologi yang berbasis contoh-contoh kontekstual. Maka dari itu tim pengabdian FKIP Universitas Jambi merasa terpanggil untuk membantu guru-guru biologi tersebut. Metode pelatihan yang akan dilaksanakan di MGMP Tanjung jabung Barat adalah mengindentifikasi materi-materi biologi yang memerlukan contoh-contoh kontekstual. Kemudian mendesain pembelajaran biologi dengan memasukkan contoh-contoh kontekstual. Memberikan ketrampilan mengindentifikasi contoh-contoh kontekstual yang dapat dijadikan media yang ada dilingkungan sekitar. Mengevaluasi ketercapaian peningkatan pembelajaran biologi melalui contoh-contoh kontekstual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 31 juli 2019 bertempat di SMA N 1 Tanjung jabung barat. Diikuti oleh 20 orang guru biologi yang tergabung dalam MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) Biologi. Kegiatan PPM ini dibuka oleh Ketua MGMP Tanjung Jabung barat dan dihadiri oleh Kepala SMA N 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat. Dalam kegiatan ini diikuti secara antusias oleh guru-guru biologi. Materi disampaikan oleh bapak Ali sadikin, M.Pd tentang peningkatan pembelajaran biologi melalui contoh-contoh kontekstual. Diawali dengan materi pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual secara umum kemudian lebih ditekankan pada learning comunity yang merupakan bagian penting dalam pembelajaran kontekstual. Disini guru sangat antusias karena guru diajarkan bagaimana mencari literasi dengan sci-hub, dan pdf drive. Guru sangat mengikuti dan bertanya tentang bagaimana menggunakan sci-hub untuk mencari jurnal internasional dan nasional. Ditambah penggunaan pdf drive untuk mencari buku-buku elektronik secara gratis tanpa perlu membeli. Guru-guru mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian ini sampai selesai dan berharap tahun depan diadakan lagi. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy mahasiswa biologi melalui tahapan pengembangan konseptual modifikasi model inkuiri. Tahapan pengembangan konseptual modifikasi model inkuiri menggunakan prosedur sintesis Lee and Jang dengan pendekatan Theory-driven conceptual Instructional Design Models tipe F1-O1-S1-A1 dan dilanjutkan dengan tahapan eksperimen menggunakan uji-t. Tahapan pengembangan konseptual modifikasi model inkuiri diawali dengan analisis studi literatur dan informasi terbaru yang berkaitan dengan pola ilmuwan bekerja serta melakukan proses validasi dengan teknik delphi tiga putaran. Sedangkan pada tahapan eksperimen meliputi uji pengaruh modifikasi model inkuiri dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy mahasiswa biologi. Pengembangan konseptual modifikasi model inkuiri menghasilkan tujuh tahapan yaitu: 1) merumuskan masalah, 2) merumuskan hipotesis, 3) mengumpulkan data, 4) membandingkan komunikasi ilmiah antar kelompok, 5) membuat kesimpulan, 6) mengkomunikasikan hasil dan 7) mereview hasil melalui analisis kritis. Sedangkan pada tahapan eksperimen menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000, artinya bahwa mahasiswa yang mengimplementasikan modifikasi model inkuiri memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy lebih baik dibandingkan mahasiswa yang tidak mengimplementasikan modifikasi model inkuiri. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh maka dapatlah disimpulkan bahwasanya: tahapan modifikasi model inkuiri memberikan pengaruh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy mahasiswa biologi.

Abstract

AbstrakJenis sarang dan distribusi rayap di habitat alami dapat ditentukan oleh faktor lingkungan, salah satunya vegetasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis tipe sarang dan pola sebaran rayap di Hutan Kota dan perkebunan kelapa sawit di Provinsi Jambi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi habitat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di lokasi hutan kota ditemukan 79 koloni rayap dari 9 jenis dengan 4 tipe sarang, yaitu tipe gundukan, pohon, kayu mati, dan serasah. Jenis rayap yang ditemukan di hutan kota, yaitu Pericapritermes mohri, Termes rostratus, Microtermes sp., Odontotermes oblongatus, Hospitalitermes hospitalis, Longipeditermes longipes, Nasutitermes longinasus, Bulbitermes constrictoides, Prohamitermes sp. Di lokasi kawasan perkebunan kelapa sawit ditemukan 37 koloni rayap dari 7 jenis dengan 3 tipe sarang, yaitu tipe gundukan, pohon, dan kayu mati. Pola sebaran jenis rayap yang ditemukan di hutan kota mengelompok, seragam, dan pola penyebaran acak. Pola sebaran rayap di lokasi perkebunan kelapa sawit, hanya ditemukan tipe menyebar acak. Tipe sarang dan pola sebaran rayap lebih banyak ditemukan di lokasi yang tidak ditanami kelapa sawit. Rayap yang hidup di hutan kota dan perkebunan sawit bervariasi jenis dan tipe sarangnya.AbstractTypes of nests and distribution of termites in natural habitats can be determined by environmental factors, including vegetation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the nest types and distribution patterns of termites in urban forests and oil palm plantations in Jambi Province. Data were collected using a purposive sampling method that was adapted to habitat conditions. The results showed that in the urban forest location, 79 termite colonies of 9 species were found with 4 types of nests, namely mounds, trees, dead wood and litter. The types of termites found in urban forests were Pericapritermes mohri, Termes rostratus, Microtermes sp., Odontotermes oblongatus, Hospitalitermes hospitalis, Longipeditermes longipes, Nasutitermes longinasus, Bulbitermes constrictoides, Prohamitermes sp. At the location of the oil palm plantation area, a total of 37 termite colonies of 7 species were found with 3 types of nests, namely mounds, trees, and dead wood. The distribution patterns of termites found in urban forests were clumped, uniform, and random. In oil palm plantation, the distribution pattern of termites found was only randomly distributed. Nest types and distribution patterns of termites were observed more common in locations with no oil plant plantation. To conclude, termites found in urban forest and oil palms plantation varied in species and nest type.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to develop entrepreneurship-based learning video media on environmental pollution material and its application in science learning in junior high school. Methodology: This research is classified as research and development using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects used were 24 students and 2 teachers to see responses to entrepreneurship-based learning videos using purposive sampling. Data analysis used descriptive statistics (Category, Min, and Max) and inferential (One paired t-test). Main findings: In this study, the results of validation by material experts and validation by media experts were very feasible. The results of the science teacher's responses and student trials in one-on-one, small, and large group trials were obtained in the very good category. And there are significant differences for students in using Entrepreneurship-based learning videos Novelty/Originality of this study: In the era of the industrial revolution and social revolution, human resources are needed to go through this. Therefore, especially in junior high schools, teachers must carry out innovations, one of which is to innovate in the learning media used, namely using entrepreneurship-based learning videos. Today's students must have an entrepreneurial spirit or attitude to compete in the present.

Abstract

The humans’ respiratory system is one of the material subject biology in eight grades of junior high school. Human respiratory system material requires an understanding of the concept. The use of interactive multimedia is one way to presenting the material. Based on the observation in SMP 24 Jambi found that the students are difficult to understand the material because the teacher is not optimal in using the media. Therefore, the teachers need a learning media to describe the material. Interactive multimedia flash can be used as the media. The purpose of this research is to develop and to know the students responses in the multimedia interactive learning material on the human respiratory system for junior high school in VIII class using Adobe Flash Professional Cs6. This research is the development research. The research design in this study follows the ADDIE development model.ADDIE development model has five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Before the multimedia product tested it will be validate by the expert to determine the feasibility of the product, the team experts are material expert and media expert. The result of the validation from material expert obtained 87.1 % score with very good categories and the result of the validation from media expert obtained 80% score with good categories. The students’ response to the media for small group is in very good category with of 87.8% and for large group is classified in very well category with 87.1%. Based on the result, the conclusion this study is the multimedia interactive learning on the material of the human respiratory system got a very good response from the students. Multimedia interactive learning on the material in the human respiratory system can help the teacher in the learning process and can be used as self-learning that students can use at school and outside school hours.

Abstract

Learning media in the form of video is a medium that can be used by teachers to be used in learning. Video media contains learning materials that are equipped with pictures and videos that make it easier to understand the material. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of videos, determine the feasibility, responses of teachers, students, and the effectiveness of video media that have been developed to improve learning outcomes. Video media development uses the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Video media products are validated by media experts and material experts with excellent results. The results of the biology teacher's response as well as small group and large group trials obtained very good results. The results of the effectiveness test using the paired-sample t test showed that there was an effect on the use of video media on the insectivorous predation phenomenon in improving student learning outcomes. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that the media developed is suitable for use in learning. Key words: Video Media, Online Learning, Insectivorous Predation Phenomen   Abstrak. Media pembelajaran berupa video merupakan media yang bisa dipakai oleh guru untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Media Video memuat materi pembelajaran yang dilengkapi dengan gambar serta video yang memudahkan dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa video, mengetahui kelayakan, respon guru, peserta didik, serta efektivitas media video yang telah dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Pengembangan media video menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Produk media video divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi dengan perolehan hasil sangat baik. Hasil respon guru biologi serta ujicoba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar diperoleh hasil sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas menggunakan uji paired sample t test menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pada penggunaan media video pada materi fenomena predasi insektivora dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh maka disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Media Video, Pembelajaran Daring, Fenomena Predasi Insektivora

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of digital comic media on environmental pollution material for class X high school students, as well as students' perceptions of the media. This study uses the ADDIE model development design. The data collection technique used a questionnaire sheet and multiple choice questions. The instrument used was a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the media, teacher, and student-response questionnaires to determine the attractiveness of the media and multiple-choice questions to determine the effectiveness of the media. Data analysis techniques used in research and development are qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of the validation of the development of digital comic media by material experts twice and media experts once the media was declared valid and could be tested, while the teacher response results obtained a percentage of 94% in the very good category, the results of student responses in small group trials obtained a percentage of 93 % in the very good category, the results of student responses in the large group trial obtained a percentage of 87% in the very good category and the results of field trials or effectiveness obtained a score of 54 in the control class and 71 in the experimental class, which means that learning outcomes using digital comic media are more effective. So it can be concluded that digital comics are feasible to be used as teaching materials. Key words: Development, Digital Comics, Environmental Pollution   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan media komik digital pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk siswa kelas X SMA, serta persepsi siswa terhadap media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pengembangan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket dan soal pilihan ganda. Instrument yang digunakan berupa lembar angket validasi untuk mengetahui kelayakan media, angket respon guru dan siswa untuk mengetahui kemenarikan media dan soal pilihan ganda untuk mengetahui efektifitas media. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil validasi terhadap pengembangan media komik digital oleh ahli materi sebanyak dua kali dan ahli media sebanyak satu kali media dinyatakan valid dan dapat diujicobakan, sedangkan hasil respon guru diperoleh persentase 94% dalam kategori sangat baik, hasil respon siswa dalam ujicoba kelompok kecil diperoleh persentase 93% dalam kategori sangat baik, hasil respon siswa dalam ujicoba kelompok besar diperoleh persentase 87% dalam kategori sangat baik dan hasil ujicoba lapangan atau efektifitas diperoleh skor 54 pada kelas kontrol dan 71 pada kelas eksperimen yang berarti hasil belajar dengan menggunakan media komik digital lebih  efektif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa komik digital layak untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Komik digital, Pencemaran lingkungan

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia-based learning media using 3D Pageflip Professional. The developed media discuss material about determining the sex of insects, this research belongs to the Research and Development (R & D) type using the ADDIE method. The research was conducted at SMA N 10 Jambi City in September 2021. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires via google form to students and teachers of biology subjects. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of validation by material experts and media experts stated that this media was categorized as "very good". The test results on students (small groups and large groups) and teachers, stated that interactive multimedia-based learning media using 3D Pageflip Professional was categorized as "very good". Based on this, it can be concluded that the product is feasible to be used as a learning medium. Penelitian ini berutujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif menggunakan 3D Pageflip Professional. Media yang dikembangkan membahas materi tentang penentuan jenis kelamin serangga, penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis  Research and Development ( R & D ) menggunakan metode ADDIE. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA N 10 Kota Jambi pada September 2021. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menyebarkan angket melalui google form kepada siswa dan guru mata pelajaran biologi. Hasil uji coba kepada siswa (kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar) dan guru, menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif menggunakan 3D Pageflip Professional terkategori “sangat baik”. Berdasarkan hal itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract

Technology-based teaching materials were developed to assist student learning activities. The use of teaching materials that can be used in the form of e-modules is one of the teaching materials that can help students to learn. In order for e-modules to be attractive to students, it is necessary to develop more attention to student interests. This study aims to produce comic-based e-modules equipped with factual videos for class VII science lessons on environmental pollution, global warming and the earth's layers. This research is a development research that adapts the ADDIE development model. The ADDIE model development stage consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and Evolution. The stage before testing the e-module is validated first. Validation consists of material validation and media validation. The validation of the very category material and the very good category of media validation, so that the e-module was declared worthy to be tested. The e-module was piloted at SMP IT Nurul Ilmi Jambi class VII. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the comic-shaped module equipped with factual videos in the seventh grade science lesson was declared effective. Key words: E-Module, Comic Based, Factual Video   Abstrak Bahan ajar berbasis teknologi dikembangkan untuk memebantu kegiatan belajar siswa. Penggunaan bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan berupa e-modul merupakan salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat membantu siswa untuk belajar. Agar e-modul yang menarik bagi siswa maka perlu pengembangan yang lebih memperhatikan minat siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan utuk menghasilkan e-modul berbasis komik dilengkapi video faktual untuk pelajaran IPA kelas VII pada materi pencemaran lingkungan, pemanasan global dan lapisan bumi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengadaptasikan model pengembangan ADDIE. Tahap pengembangan model ADDIE Terdiri dari analysis, design,  development, implementation dan Evolution. Tahap sebelum diujicobakan e-modul divalidasi terlebih dahulu. Validasi terdiri dari validasi materi dan validasi media. Validasi materi kategori sangat dan validasi media kategori sangat baik, sehingga e-modul dinyatakan layak untuk diujicobakan. E-modul diujicobakan di SMP IT Nurul Ilmi Jambi kelas VII.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa modul berbentuk komik dilengkapi video faktual pada pelajaran IPA kelas VII dinyatakan efektif.  Kata kunci:E-modul, Berbasis komik, Video faktual
