Abstract

This study aimed to develop a socio-political-based debate text learning module for class X SMA. Following the 3D model (Define, Design, and Development) proposed by Thiagarajan, the module underwent validation by four experts, including two material experts and two design experts. Utilizing a Likert scale questionnaire, the validation sheet assessed material and design aspects. The material's quality received an average score of 3.60 from the first material expert, deemed "valid and good," and 3.55 from the second material expert, also "valid and good." Design assessment yielded an average of 4.44 from the first expert and 4.25 from the second expert, both indicating "valid and very good." Based on these evaluations, the socio-political debate text learning module is deemed feasible for use, meeting the criteria of validity and quality in both material and design aspects.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop folklore teaching materials (sagas/hikayat) assisted by Renderforest media to improve the thinking skills of students in class X PPLG 1, X PPLG 2, and X BDP 1 at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak. The results showed that the teaching materials for folk tales (saga) assisted by Renderforest media were rated "Very Eligible" (97%) by media experts and "Decent" (76%) by teachers. A field test with 66 students from class X PPLG 2 demonstrated the effectiveness of the teaching materials, with activity tests and evaluations yielding an "effective" rating (81%). These findings suggest that integrating Renderforest media into folklore teaching materials can significantly enhance students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impacts of these teaching materials on students' learning outcomes across different subjects and grade levels.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate audio-visual learning media for enhancing poetry writing skills using the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy for grade X students. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale for quantitative analysis, while qualitative data were obtained from expert evaluations, comments, and suggestions. The study involved four validators—two material experts and two media/design experts—to assess the feasibility of the developed media. The research was limited to the development stage, where material validators assigned an average validity score of 76%, categorized as "very feasible", while media/design validators provided an overall score of 72%, classified as "feasible". These findings confirm that the audio-visual learning media for poetry writing skills is valid, practical, and effective for use in school learning environments, making it a potential tool to enhance student engagement and creativity in poetry writing. Future research should explore the implementation stage and assess its impact on students' learning outcomes.
