Abstract

Penyimpangan perilaku para protagonis dalam Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat (2023) merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari sistem kota yang mekanis dan kapitalistis. Perilaku-perilaku aneh tokoh-tokoh dalam cerpen Sony Karsono adalah sebuah bentuk perlawanan warga kota terhadap lingkungan sosial yang mekanis dan kapitalistis. Resistensi aktan-aktan cerita menjadikan tubuh sebagai medium pembebasan kungkungan kota yang serba materialistis, membatasi, dan menindas. Artikel ini berfokus pada perilaku menyimpang karakter-karakter utama cerita demi menghadirkan pengalaman esensial kehidupan kota yang unik, tipikal, karakteristik urban yang dibangun secara kapitalis. Protagonis yang bersetubuh dengan mayat, kawin dengan boneka, menikmati bunuh diri, onani pada saat dengar lagu kebangsaan, menggubah sajak-sajak seks vulgar perkotaan ditengarai sebagai perilaku parafilia. Memanfaatkan paradigma David Harvey mengenai situasi spasial kota, artikel ini memahami jika pelbagai perilaku protagonis yang parafilis adalah sarana untuk melihat kehidupan manusia kota yang ditopang kapitalisme. Perilaku parafilia tokoh-tokoh utama cerpen diletakkan dalam kerangka perlawanan penghuni kota terhadap habitat sosial yang kapitalis. Sistem kota yang mekanis dan kapitalistis sengaja diciptakan oleh pihak rezim kuasa yang ingin menciptakan status quo demi mempertahankan kekuasaan dan dominasi. Cerpen-cerpen dalam Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat menawarkan pembacaan kota secara berbeda agar terlepas dari cengkeraman kuasa kota yang menindas.

Abstract

Relasi antara manusia dengan alam di dalam karya sastra perlu mendapat perhatian khusus. Terlebih di tengah pesatnya akselerasi global yang kian meningkat, gagasan ekologis yang berakar pada pandangan ruralisme berpotensi mengalami degradasi, tergerus oleh pandangan urbanisme. Karenanya, sastra sebagai media representasi sikap dapat dimaksimalkan perannya dalam merawat gagasan dan nilai-nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan representasi keselarasan hidup antara manusia dengan alam yang terdapat dalam novel Kambing dan Hujan karya Mahfud Ikhwan. Pendekatan penelitian ini yaitu kajian ekologi sastra yakni pastoral. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode berupa analisis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian berupa novel Kambing dan Hujan karya Mahfud Ikhwan yang diterbitkan pertama kali pada tahun 2015 oleh PT. Bentang Pustaka. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tiga aspek pastoral yang terdapat dalam novel Kambing dan Hujan, yakni: (1) karakter ‘bucolic’ (penggembala), (2) unsur konstruksi arcadia, dan (3) wacana retreat & return. Sedangkan representasi keselarasan hidup yang ditemukan merujuk pada tiga asas, yakni: (1) principle of independence, (2) principle of change, dan (3) principle of evolution.Kata Kunci: keselarasan hidup, novel, sastra pastoral

Abstract

This study analyzes the structure and function of telling the legend of KRAA. Poerbonegoro which developed in Ambal District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. This legend tells of the heroism of a KRAA. Poerbonegoro who put down the mastermind behind the riots and robbery of agricultural products in the Urut Sewu Region, namely Puja Gamawijaya. for the struggle of KRAA. Poerbonegoro, the mastermind behind the riots in the Urut Sewu area, could be killed. So that in the end, KRAA. Poerbonegoro received the title of duke of Ambal by the Dutch Government. The aim of this study is to explore the structure and function of the KRAA legend. Poerbonegoro in Benerwetan Village, Ambal District, Kebumen Regency. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods, ethnographic approaches, and studies of oral traditions. The research data is in the form of KRAA legend stories. Poerbonegoro obtained through interviews with two informants. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, recording, photographing, recording, transcription, and translation. The research stages included the pre-field stage of observing and seeking informants, the field work stage carrying out the data collection process, and the research completion stage carrying out the process of transcribing the data into written form, translating data from the informant's language into Indonesian, conducting an analysis of the actan structure and function of each story variants, analyzing the functions of each story variant, and discussing structure and function. The results showed the actan structure and function in both variants of the KRAA legend. Poerbonegoro concludes that having a connection or connection between actan and functional structures provides support for the flow of events that occur in the story. Characters or actors who fill in each room with certain functions and roles in the story. Meanwhile, in the function study shows. First, each variant is a projection function in society that is the legend of KRAA. Poerbonegoro is an illustration to the public that people's view of life is how life can be peaceful, harmonious, and not rioting. So that no community groups are harmed. Second, as a function of a tool for validating cultural institutions and institutions for each variant, informants said that the existence of the KRAA legend. Poerbonegoro took part in the culture in society with the aim of acquiring learning values. Third, the function as an educational tool is that each variant of the legend contains lessons that can be taken by the community, both from historical knowledge, heroic character, the principle of cooperation, and creating a harmonious life in society. Fourth, on the function of being a tool for coercing and controlling societal norms in each variant, the informant said that the legend of KRAA. Poerbonegoro provides an overview to the community in terms of acting in society so that stability and harmony in life can occur.

Abstract

Penelitian in bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana bentuk register, jenis register, dan fungsi register dalam Alternate Universe “Eknath” di Twitter serta pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan ajar teks narasi.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan suatu objek penelitian dalam hal ini berfokus pada bentuk, jenis, fungsi register kedokteran hewan yang terdapat dalam Alternate Universe ”Eknath”.Teknik pengumpulan data melalui simak dan catat dengan data yang bersumber pada Alternate Universe “Eknath” karya @sotogapaketomat itu sendiri yang menyangkut reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan terdapat sebanyak 90 data penggunaan istilah kedokteran hewan serta adanya bentuk register berupa abreviasi, afiksasi, komposisi dan reduplikasi. empat jenis register yang ditemukan berupa ragam usaha, ragam santai, ragam akrab dan ragam resmi. Serta fungsi register yang ditemukan berdasarkan penelitian ialah fungsi instrumental, fungsi personal, fungsi representasional, dan fungsi interaksional. Dari hasil yang ditemukan penulis memiliki saran kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk lebih membahasa secara mendalam bentuk, jenis dan fungsi register dari objek yang berbeda.

Abstract

This research will analyze the linguistic aspects contained in the novel. The novel used as the target of research is the novel Merdeka Since Hati by Ahmad Fuadi. The objectives in this study are (1) Describe the maxim form of the principle of language politeness according to Leech (2014). (2) Describe the use of the results of the analysis of the form of language politeness principles as teaching materials for Indonesian learning in high school. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive methods. The subject of this study is the novel Merdeka Since Hati by Ahmad Fuadi, second printing in August 2019. The results of this study show that the novel Merdeka Since Hati has a form of compliance and a form of violation of the principle of politeness in language. The amount of data obtained in this study was 103 data. In the words of the characters in the novel Merdeka Since Hati by Ahmad Fuadi, compliance with the principle of politeness is more found than violations of the principle of politeness in language. Data on compliance with the principle of language politeness were found as many as 71 data, while data on violations as many as 32 data. The following are presented the conclusions of the research results. The use of research results is used as teaching material in the form of handouts in learning Indonesian High School (SMA), namely in class X negotiation text material of the independent curriculum.

Abstract

Tindak tutur ilokusi dalam interaksi talkshow antara pembawa acara dengan bintang tamu mempunyai peranan penting, yaitu sebagai tindakan untuk menyampaikan maksud dan tujuan tuturan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi pada program talkshow yang diantaranya yaitu: Tonight Show Premiere, Kick Andy Show, Mata Najwa, dan Bicara Cinta. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu teknik simak, teknik transkipsi data, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teknik Miles dan Huberman, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Ada lima jenis tindak tutur ilokusi yaitu ilokusi asertif, ilokusi direktif, ilokusi komisif, ilokusi ekspresif, dan ilokusi deklaratif. Sedangkan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi terdapat enam fungsi, yakni fungsi tindak tutur asertif memberitahu, membanggakan, dan menyatakan, fungsi tindak tutur direktif menasehati dan larangan, fungsi tindak tutur komisif memanjatkan doa dan menawarkan, fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif bersyukur dan memberi selamat, dan fungsi tindak tutur deklaratif memberi nama.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of understanding about reduplication which can be used as an activity in language. The purposes of this study are 1. To describe the form and meaning of reduplication in the May 2023 edition of the Karawang Bekasi Ekspres newspaper, the Education & Sports column. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were the May 2023 Edition of the Karawang Bekasi Ekspres newspaper. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, literature study, listening, reading and taking notes, and documentation. Researchers conducted an analysis of form and meaning reduplication in the May 2023 Edition of the Karawang Bekasi Ekspres newspaper. The tools used to collect data were laptops, mobile phones, theory books, notebooks and writing instruments. The results of the study found 22 repeated words in the May 2023 Edition of the Karawang Bekasi Express newspaper which were analyzed in full.

Abstract

This research uses speech act theory according to Prayitno (2011:41) that directive speech acts do not only function to inform something. Directive speech acts have a very important role in everyday communication and are used to achieve various goals in social interactions. The research carried out was related to the analysis of directive speech acts in the "Si Bolang" broadcast on the Edutainment Trans7 Official YouTube channel. With a total of four "Si Bolang" video views on the Trans7 Official Edutainment YouTube channel. Utilization of research results of analysis of directive speech acts in the "Si Bolang" broadcast for junior high school level Indonesian language learning as teaching material for handouts of experimental report text material. With the basic competencies and core competencies of the 2013 curriculum found in class IX odd semester. The results of this research show what forms of directive speech acts and speech act strategies are used in broadcasts. This research uses descriptive qualitative research to analyze the object of study of directive speech in the show "Si Bolang". This research uses a qualitative research approach. The results of this research focus on analyzing the form of directive speech acts and strategies for directive speech acts. The form of directive speech acts has six forms, namely, commands, invitations, advice, prohibitions, criticism and requests. Meanwhile, there are two types of directive speech act strategies, direct speech act strategies and indirect speech act strategies. The results of the analysis contained 139 data (commands), 22 data (invitations), 4 (advice), 2 data (prohibitions), 2 data (criticism) and 12 data (requests). There are two strategies for directive speech acts in the research, namely direct speech act strategies, there are 170 data, and indirect speech act strategies, there are 11 data.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the essential role of lecturers in enhancing student motivation in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at Faculty of Engineering Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY).Method – This study employs a qualitative approach with a focus on literature review to examine the role of lecturers in motivating students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at FT UNY. Interviews are conducted as a complement to provide additional perspectives. The results are expected to offer in-depth insights for developing more effective teaching strategies.Findings – This study found that the role of lecturers as facilitators fostering independent learning, feedback providers, and creators of positive learning environments significantly contributes to students' learning motivation in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at UNY. Lecturers who provide targeted feedback help students improve their learning strategies, while strong interpersonal relationships increase their confidence and engagement. Additionally, relevant academic challenges and recognition of students' achievements drive learning motivation and prepare them for the professional world. These findings highlight the importance of lecturers' multidimensional roles in supporting students' academic growth. Research Implications – This study underscores the need for institutional support in enhancing lecturers’ roles to boost student motivation. Providing professional development, integrating technology, and adopting project-based learning can improve facilitation, feedback, and engagement, ultimately strengthening student autonomy and academic success.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine efforts to optimize MIG welding technique learning through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This study compares three platforms: Monica, Claude, and Perplexity. The results were then evaluated using expert judgment. The background to this research stems from the difficulty students face in recognizing various types of defects in welding results, which results in decreased joint quality and a poor understanding of the welding process as a whole. This study employed a comparative experimental method involving expert validators to validate the analysis results. Three images of MIG welding defects were analyzed separately by the three AI platforms, and the identification results were validated by welding experts. Based on the findings, Perplexity proved to have the highest accuracy in identifying defects, followed by Monica, while Claude performed the lowest. These findings indicate that AI integration can accelerate the identification process, simplify analysis, and make a positive contribution to welding technique learning. However, the study also revealed limitations, particularly related to the use of complex technical language and local contexts that AI has not yet fully accommodated. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of AI, specifically Perplexity, has the potential to be an effective innovation to support the welding learning process in educational settings.
