Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence factors of cervical cancer prevention behavior of childbearing woman. Methodology on this research was a survey design with cross sectional approach. The sample in this research were 99 respondents who live in Rejosari with snowball sampling technique. Measuring instruments used was a questionnaire. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square test and Fisher Exact test. The results showed there were relations between knowledge (ρ=0.045) and social support (ρ=0.000) toward behavior cervical cancer prevention. While age (ρ=0.306), education (ρ=1.000), and economy (ρ=0.561) there were not the relations toward behavior cervical cancer prevention. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended for health care institutions especially for public health center staff to increased a health education of cervical cancer prevention and extend a health promotion target. Abstract

Family planning (FP) is an act that helps couples to regulate birth spacing, and determine the number of children in thefamily. Injecting family planning users will experience physiological changes. he use of injecting FP will have animpact on the acceptors. One of the side effects of injecting FP is perceived as a physiological change such as weight,irregular menstruation, and others. These changes are also felt by the husband. The aim of this research wasto determine the description of the husband's perception of the contraceptive side effects of contraception injecting thewife. The research design used was a simple descriptive with a total sample of 35 people. The sampling technique usedcluster sampling technique conducted by randomization. Data collection tool used is questionnaire. The analysis used isunivariate analysis to see the frequency distribution. The results showed that most of the respondents had positiveperception about KB side effect on wife (54,3%). Based on research results, it is suggested for health services to keepreturning to provide education about contraception, and side effects.Keywords: Husband’s perception, Side Effects Of Injectable Contraception.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this reserach was to identify risk factors of nosocomial pneumonia infection incidence in patients with ventilator installed in the Intensive Care. This study used a descriptive retrospective method. This research was conducted in the Intensive Care of Islam Ibu Sina Hospital with 30 patients .The analysis used univariate analysis. The results show the frequency distribution of respondents who installed the ventilator based on the age of majority aged 18-60 years were 19 respondents (63.3%), the majority of respondents male sex as much as 17 respondents (56.7%), respondents who use sedation as much as 20 respondents (66.7%), respondents with albumin levels over 2.2 mg / dl were 24 respondents (80%), respondents with this type of disease is not lung disease as much as 21 respondents (70%) and respondents with no VAP by 22 respondents (70%). The results of this research recommends to health institutions to perform measurements on VAP assessment. Keywords:  Mechanical Ventilation, VAP

Abstract

Abstract Patient safety is free from incidents that occurred by mistake, or could have been prevented as a result of medical care. The attitude of nurses to report patient safety incidents including near miss is needed to support patient safety program. Attitudes may arise from the knowledge of patient safety. This study aims to determine the relationship between the knowledge of nurses about near miss with the attitude report near miss. This research is a descriptive cross sectional correlative. The samples were nurses in the inpatient unit as much as 89 respondents using accidental sampling. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of two (2) questionnaire to assess knowledge about near miss and attitude of nurses reported near miss. The analysis used were univariate and bivariate using Chi-Square. The results showed that the p value  1,000 (p value > 0.05) so it was concluded that there was no correlation between the knowledge of nurses about near miss with the attitudes reported near miss. Based on the results of the study are expected for the nurse to increase the knowledge of near miss as well as providing a positive attitude to report near miss.keywords: attitude, knowledge, near miss, patient safety

Abstract

Abstract This Study aimed to understand the effect of elderly gymnastic on the sleep quality of insomnia elders. This study used “quasi experiment” as the study design with “pre test and post test design with control group design. The study was conducted at Panti Sosial Tresna Wredha Pekanbaru (PSTW). Thirty four people were chosen as the sample using purposive sampling technique while keeping the inclusion criteria on mind. The measurement instruments used on both group were KSPBJ-IRS questionnaire (Kelompok Studi Psikiatri Biologik Jakarta– Insomnia Rating Scale) for insomnia and PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) for sleep quality. The analyses used were univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney. The results of this study showed a significant increase on the sleep quality of experiment group after the elderly followed the exercise with P value = (0,000) < α (0,05). Based on this study, health workers are expected to implement this exercise as one the non - pharmalogically way to increase sleep quality on the elderly peolpe. Abstract

Abstract DiabetesMellitus(DM) is a group of diseasescharacterizedbyhyperglycemiaresulting fromdefectsin insulin secretion, insulin actionor both. One of thecomplications ofdiabetes isperipheral neuropathyin the form ofulcers that influence of quality of life patient's. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship of diabetic ulcers stage with quality of life in patients with type 2 of diabetes mellitus. This research using with descriptive correlation and design using with crosssectional approach. The research was conducted at the RSUD Petala Bumi Pekanbaru on 30 respondents diabetic ulcers using accidental sampling technique with inclusion criteria. The descriptive analyzed was Kolmogorov-Smirnov. The results showed p <0,05 which means there is a relationship between diabetic ulcer stage with quality of life in patients from type 2 of diabetes mellitus with p value = 0.000. This research is expected to be a guide in improving the quality of life of diabetic patients with diabetic ulcers. Keywords: DM, diabetic ulcers, quality of life

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between family support and coping mechanism to post operation mastectomy patients at Anyelir and Cendrawasih I RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. This research use correlation descriptive design with cross sectional approximation research method. Sample of this research are 30 respondents by accidental sampling technique. Measuring tools in this research are questionnaire. Data analysis is done by univariate and bivariate analyze with Chi-Square test. Result of research show that there is relationship between family support and coping mechanism to post operation mastectomy patients with p value 0,030 (p value < 0,05). This result likely could be good contribute to medical personnel in leading because, there was a significant family support to post operation mastectomy patients. Abstract

Dysmenorrhea ia an excessive pain during menstruation that occurs due to uncoordinated uterine contractions, this is caused by the increasing of prostaglandin production that released in the bloodstream. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of foot reflexology in the reproductive area of dysmenorrhea. This tudy was used Quasi Experimental Design with the design of Non-Equivalent Control Group. This research was carried out in Sentajo Raya 2 Public Middle School, Sentajo Raya District, Taluk Kuantan for 34 people with 17 people as an experimental group and 17 people as a control group with non probability sampling technique, that purposive sampling. The measuring instrument used in both groups was the observation sheet. The analysis was used univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using altenative Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test. The result showed that the p value (0,000) < (0,05). This means showing that foot reflexology in the reproductive area is effective for reducing dysmenorrhea. Foot reflexology in the reproductive area can reduce dysmenorrhe pain intensity in non pharmacology which can be practiced independently, thus expected for students who have other members of family or local communities use this message for reducing dysmenorrhea pain intensity. Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible kidney damage that causes impaired function of kidney in removing toxic and metabolic waste products characterized by the presence of protein in the urine. This research aimed to determine the effect of chewing low-sugar gum on Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG). This research method used Quasy Experiment with non-equivalent control group design divided into experiment group and control group. The research was conducted in Arifin Achmad General Hospital Riau Province to 32 respondents taken using purposive sampling technique divided into 16 respondents for the control group and 16 respondents for experimental group. The instrument using scale. The analysis used univariate analysis to see frequency and bivariate with Independent sample t test and Dependent sample t test. The results showed that the average IDWG experimental group before chewing low-sugar gum was 2.4 kg. While IDWG after chewing gum low sugar was 1.9. The result of bivariate test showed p value = 0.005 <α (0.05) which meant there was difference IDWG after given intervention. It is expected to nurse can provide non-pharmacological therapy like chewing low-sugar gums to manage the body fluid of patient with CKD.Key words : Chewing gum , Chronic Kidney Disease, IDWG

Abstract

Abstract Stress is a mental problem that most suffered by elderly. Things that make elderly stressed are affected  by retire, loss of purpose in life, loss of a friend or spouse, the risk of disease, isolated from the environment, and loneliness. Nonpharmacological therapies can be applied to the stress are the classical music therapy and brain gym. The aim of this research was to identify the comparison of classic Music therapy and brain gym towards the reduction phase of Stress in the elderly. This research used quasy experimental design with pre test and post test design by comparing two treatments. This research was conducted with 34 samples, which divided into17 as classical music therapy group and  17 as  brain gym group and choosen by purposive sampling and random sampling technique. The level stress was measured with DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale). The analysis used univariate by using frequencies and bivariate by using dependent t test and independent t test. The results of this research showed that significant reduction phase  stress, with p (0.036) < α(0.05). Mean score DASS of music therapy showed the reduction about 2 point, while the difference of mean pre test and post test of brain gym group was about 3.71 point. The conclusion is brain gym more effect on reduction phase stress on elderly and recommended to be applied for nursing as one intervention to help reduction phase of stress.   Keywords: brain gym, classical music therapy, elderly, the level stress
